Introducing “The Phantom Fox” Jack Kairo and his entire arsenal of custom moves made in Move Craft! That’s right; each and every one of his grapples, attacks, taunts, and pins was hand-and-keyboard-stitched together in Fire Pro Wrestling World. I hope you enjoy this sizeable project and test it out for yourself. You can download the character and his entire moveset using the link below, or download one of the ten "sample" moves I've listed below using the link next to their individual descriptions. Please note that while some moves are radical departures from anything seen in the base game, others are moves I’ve released before or simply minor variations of a move you already know. Enjoy and know that any constructive comments and critique are more than welcome!

“Game Boy” Jack Kairo was once a rising star in the North East’s independent wrestling scene, known for his ridiculously named moves and stunning athleticism. Then, like so many talented Americans before him, he hopped on a plane with dreams of touring Japan’s prestigious wrestling promotions and making a name for himself by testing his mettle against some of the best-trained wrestlers in the world. He got his wish in the first round of Japan’s famed “Worldwide Race to 100” tournament. There he came face to face with a rising star from Japan, an undefeated rookie with a Muay Thai background nicknamed “The Devourer.” And Jack was devoured. Lured into an unbreakable clench and concussed with an endless barrage of expertly-aimed knees to his nose, The Devourer left Kairo a bloody, twitching mess on the canvas. Famed throughout Japan as a loser and the victim of the most brutal beatdown ever witnessed in a puroresu ring, Jack flew back to America as a broken-down, bitter young man.
Jack Kairo then spent the next several years working odd jobs to pay the bills and commentating on the sloppy technique of “modern” indie wrestlers on his middlingly successful podcast. However, the tragically premature death of his beloved trainer eventually awakened the hunger in Jack’s heart. A kind, deeply intelligent wrestler that spent half a decade working with him believed in him; but for years, Jack had done nothing to prove that man right. It was time to change that; it was time to honor his memory. Mr. Kairo returned to wrestling training in earnest, learning every move in the book and developing several techniques of his own. And like a phantom, he returned to the promotions he previously haunted and claimed titles from “the living” before disappearing into the ether. He proved his strength to himself and that (along with a few meager paychecks) is all he needed from those old places.
As the revitalized Jack Kairo moved on to fighting in various promotions across the world, he developed a reputation for demonstrating clever little tricks in the midst of his toughest matches. A luchador friend of his even began jokingly referring to him as a “zorro,” or “fox.” And so, when he combined that nickname with his reputation for briefly showing up in promotions like a ghost, he coined a new nickname for himself. “The Phantom Fox” was finally born.
“The Phantom Fox” has become more popular than “Game Boy” ever was, but Jack Kairo has yet to revisit the Worldwide Race to 100. The Devourer reigns supreme over the tournament’s home promotion as their world champion. What’s more, the only loss on the champion’s record came from a veteran’s roll-up pinfall. The Devourer seriously injured that veteran in their rematch and the “old man” was forced to retire.
Is The Phantom Fox afraid of losing to Japan’s biggest threat or afraid to relive the trauma that shaped him into the wrestler he is today? In truth, he is both. But that fear will not hold him back for much longer. A letter formally requesting entry into this year’s tournament rests on Jack Kairo’s desk. Now all he has to do is mail it before the renowned tournament begins in two months’ time...
SAMPLE MOVES
1.
Exhuming Tombstone [Medium Attack to Face Down Opponent’s Head]:
(Deadlift Gutwrench Tombstone Piledriver]
Steam Download Link - steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2806154606
It looks like you didn’t bury them right the first time. First, dig up the corpse of your zombie opponent and wrench them into position so that they are upside-down and facing you. Then, put them in the ground properly with the good old Tombstone Piledriver. Mark the grave with a pin and then, at long last, your undead opponent can finally rest in peace.
2.
Go To Japan [Medium Front Grapple + Up]:
(Gourdbuster Dropped into Knee Lift)
Steam Download Link - steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2806164660
Kenny Omega moved to Japan and reinvented himself as a wrestler, becoming a modern legend before he even helped found All Elite Wrestling. This move was developed and named in tribute to both his V-Trigger and Japanese native KENTA’s Go 2 Sleep. Lift your opponent sky high with a vertical suplex before driving them downward as you pump your knee up into their face. Everyone knows international travel isn’t easy, but your opponent probably didn’t realize it was going to be so painful.
3.
Low Earth Orbit Powerbomb [Pin Face Up Opponent Near Legs]:
(Jacknife Pin Lifted into a Folding Powerbomb)
Steam Download Link - steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2806154628
If the Jacknife pin won’t keep them down for the three count, you can still use it to your advantage. Lift your opponent up by the waist and roll yourself forward. Now their spine has been crunched against the canvas and you’ve still got them pinned! You might’ve only launched the opponent into a low orbit, but when it comes down to it, a weaker-than-average powerbomb is still a powerbomb. And any kind of powerbomb, as you’ll know if you’ve ever been hit with one, is a huge problem.
4.
Wuxia Stunner [Standard Running at Cornered Opponent Attack]:
(Runup Somersault Kicks into Diving Stunner)
Steam Download Link - steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2806164303
Wuxia, the ancient Chinese genre of martial arts fantasy tales, boasts many incredible films wherein actors and stunt workers use wires to depict the stunning, impossibly powerful Kung Fu moves the genre is known for in the West. Now you too can fly like you were strung from a cable! Run up the front of your cornered opponent, somersault off of them, turn yourself around in mid-air, and slam their head into your shoulder on the way down. Do it enough times and you’ll inspire a Wuxia movie of your own one day!
5.
Sonic Spinball [Turnbuckle Rebound Dive to Downed Opponent]:
(Turnbuckle Rebound Imploding Senton Bomb)
Steam Download Link - steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2806164640
You never know how much damage a spiky little ball bouncing around your tower can do until you’re the one picking through the rubble of your once-thought invincible lair. Let your opponent know how fast you gotta go by bouncing off the top turnbuckle’s flipper, spinning like a pinball as you sail through the air, and crashing into them for a hefty point bonus. If you’re lucky, one perfectly timed Sonic Spinball could earn you a “bonus ball” chance to hit this deceptively devastating move a second time.
6.
Traitor’s Lariat [Light Front Grapple + No Direction]:
(Drop Step into Jumping Enzui Lariat)
Steam Download Link - steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2806164538
Say what you will about treachery, but it gets things done. Simply spurn the trust of an important friend or ally and you can change the course of your entire life or perhaps even history! But before you going doing that, you can change the course of your match using a lighter form of betrayal. Swing yourself around and behind your ever so trusting opponent, hop off of your feet, and hurl a lariat straight into the back of their neck. You might have to endure being called a coward or a backstabber for this, but you know the truth. Losing is far worse than winning “the wrong way,” isn’t it, traitor?
7.
Combat Roll [Medium Front Grapple + Down]:
(Rolling Koppo Kick to a kneeling opponent)
Steam Download Link - steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2806164378
A combat roll is usually a defensive maneuver used to evade enemy attacks. Not this one. Force your opponent to their knees, then execute them by rolling forward into a brutal kick to their head. It may not seem like much, but when your enemy is kneeling before you your work is already halfway done.
8.
Whirlpool DDT :
(Neckbreaker Hold Twisted into DDT)
Steam Download Link - steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2806164607
Even a rivulet of twisting, swirling water can pull your head under and drown you. Grab your opponent into a neckbreaker, twist their neck under your arm, and pull their head down beneath the waves with a quick DDT. If nothing else, this move is proof that a good DDT can still take your breath away.
9.
X Mark [Corner Grapple + Up]:
(Reverse Shiranui Sitout Facebuster)
Steam Download Link - steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2806164455
X marks the spot both where a pirate’s treasure is buried and where your winning move takes place. In this move’s case, the “X” is made by your legs and your rival’s arms while you drive their head down to bury it in the canvas. How does one go about finding the X Mark? Take hold of your opponent’s neck, run up the ringpost, backflip off of it, and press down on their head as you fall. Now grab a shovel; you’re gonna have to dig your opponent up for a pin if you want to claim their championship gold.
10.
Suplex World Tour [Corner Grapple + Down]:
(O’Connor Roll – German Suplex – Regal Suplex – Snap Dragon Suplex – Tiger Suplex Sequence)
Steam Download Link - steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2806164477
Take your opponent on a trip around the world by hitting them with a long chain of five different moves from five different countries! First up, bowl them over with New Zealander Pat O’Connor’s O’Connor Roll. Secondly, keep rolling and hit them with the classic German Suplex. Then bring them back up and grab their leg so you can land the Englishman William Regal’s masterful Regal Suplex. While they’re still reeling from that suplex’s power, quickly hook them into a Full Nelson and slap them down with the Canadian Kenny Omega’s dangerously fast Snap Dragon Suplex. Finally, draw the world tour to an end with the Japanese Tiger Mask’s legendary Tiger Suplex. When you land this attack, it’s your opponent vs. the world. And between you and me, I like the world’s chances!
