I kind of want to start uploading some Fire Pro match videos again.
Is there a way to upload a video to Twitch without first streaming it?
And can I upload it and keep it private until I'm ready to publicize it?

I don't have an answer to your question... but does anyone else remember the name of the old site we used to stream on? Turnbucklin TV and Dave Fairbairn's channel and Sickos on Parade... there were like channels that constantly rotated content that you could set up and people could stop by and chat while the 'tv' rolled or your could do live streams. Was it U Stream? I feel like it wasn't that... it was another alternative from back then that's obviously dead now. We were way ahead of our time always hahaha

Yeah, it was Ustream. I think that was the service that you used for Turnbucklin-TV 😎
There was also Livestream and I think a service called Mogulus?
FP Community was definitely way ahead of its time with streaming 🏆

MOGULUS!!!! That was it. What a revolutionary idea. The bandwidth wasn't really available in most of the world to really make it work the way you wanted, but my god what an idea. Screw having a show on public access. YOU COULD BE PUBLIC ACCESS. UHF come to life. If I had won the lottery I would have set up a full on UHF channel starring all the various weirdos and creative people I've met over the years. No ads, except fake ones, and anything goes. If only.
Also did you ever get your question answered? I don't think you can upload to Twitch. You could 'stream' a pre recorded video and archive it, that's about the only option you'd have lol how regressive but I get it... they want that live streamer donation cut money

I think the only way I can upload to Twitch is if I am a "Twitch Partner" or something like that. Well Twitch, I got some news for ya: "I FIGHT FOR ME!" 🥊 I think you are spot on though. I would need to stream the pre-recorded video, archive it, then post the link. It's super inefficient since it means me simming the match first to see if I even like it, then streaming it while I do something else. But I think it's my best option now which I'd be okay with. |

I used to hang out on some livestream... streams back in the day, none of the firepro ones however. it was mainly general video game ones like vidya² and stuff! |

Hah, two months later (sorry): Livestream and Mogulus were the same thing actually! I forgot when Mogulus rebranded tho. Ahhh, I do remember that now. It was Mogulus first, I think. I may be way off on this but I think the transition happened around like 2010-2011? You should stream more so I can ask you stupid goose-related questions. I should stream more so I can ask myself stupid goose-related questions. The last time I streamed, my video quality definitely seemed better. I'm using the OBS Studio that is part of Steam and that appears to be helping. I configured the video settings better too. I'd really love to stream more and attend more streams. I've been kind of burned out recently in general and that's showing itself with me disappearing at times. I wish my social energy matched my actual interest like it used to so I could be around the boards and Twitch more. My general mood these days is 😶 Do we have a way to have one of those "Goose is streaming" messages on C!C? |

Do we have a way to have one of those "Goose is streaming" messages on C!C? The ticker broke some time ago and we were never able to fix it. The API on Twitch got all bungled up and the code to get the thing going again would have been too annoying to deal with, so it was scrapped. |

Conditionally, I support a roll back to carrier pigeon notifications. But everyone is gonna have to do a much better job managing the pigeon's diets. "OrochiGeese is steaming *PLOP*" always sent a mixed message 😐 |
