Time for Guidebook #5. Again, we'll be looking at (yet another) book from Super Fire Pro-Wrestling III Final Bout.
The name of this guidebook is スーパーファイヤープロレスリング3ファイナルバウト 完全データ集 王者への聖書 which roughly translates to
"Super Fire Pro Wrestling 3 Final Bout Complete Data Book The Bible to the Champion".
As the guide seems to have been released by Human Entertainment themselves in 1993, there's nothing really special about this
version. Other than a few original Edits formulas for custom Wrestlers, it's a pretty bare-bones amplification of what could have been
Final Bout's instruction manual at the time.
Despite being pretty basic, this guide is quite hard to come by. So, for the Fire Pro historians and completionists out there, let's
take a look:
Front and back cover.
Compared to the Fire Pro guides made by Keibunsha, this particular guide uses cheaper paper stock; making this guide more fragile and susceptible to damage.
Page 2 is an introduction to running techniques. Page 3 demonstrates running counters, button inputs for grapples and back grapples.
Page 4 continues with more gameplay mechanics such as corner post moves. The bottom of page four lists the six referees. The female referee "WOMAN" is actually a
hidden referee that can be accessed in any mode besides World Championship, hover over the REFEREE option of the pre-match configuration menu and hold the R
button while pressing Y or B to navigate through the referees. The WOMAN referee will now become selectable.
Page 5 describes reversal damage and a description of throwing opponents out of the ring.
Page 6 explains the layout for a Wrestler's stats, moves and other information included herein.
As each Wrestler is organized into a fictional faction in Final Bout, every few pages contains dividers that feature the faction's name,
a mini table of contents for each Wrestler in the faction and a screenshot of the faction's leader.

Page 7 features the "Shiba Army", a reference to the Fire Pro rename of Giant Baba (Great Shiba). Baba wasn't part of a Fire Pro game for two
years by this point (after kindly asking to be removed from the original Super Fire Pro-Wrestling back in 1991).
As to my knowledge, the name of these promotions/factions are only listed in this guidebook (the names of the smaller 5 man factions in Elimination
match mode are completely different).
Page 8 starts with Tommy Bomber (Jumbo Tsuruta). Page 9 contains Akira Yamagami (Akira Taue).
Along with the associated Wrestler's Fire Pro renames, each page also includes:
- The Wrestler's nickname (for example, Tommy Bomber's is "Powerful Bomb")
- The Wrestler's moves tabbed out
- A screenshot of the Wrestler's finisher
- A brief backstory for the Wrestler
- The Wrestler's offensive and defensive stats
- Size and speed (for Edit mode)
- A rating out of five stars based on the Wrestler's stats and moveset.
Page 10 - Mitsuhide Hikawa (Mitsuharu Misawa). Page 11 - Toshiie Kazama (Toshiaki Kawada).
Page 12: Keiji Togashi (Kenta Kobashi). Page 13: Kiyoshi Akechi (Tsuyoshi Kikuchi).
