How do you guys finish your match? Do you finish with the finisher or how do you play the game? I know a lot of people here sim so this might not get a lot of responses. But I’m curious

I never sim matches, I play on level 9 difficulty and usually go for a win using my finisher but if the computer isn’t losing easy I’ll go for a normal pin or alternate finish.I find on level 9 the matches are competitive and matches play out very nicely.

I usually go for a win with a finisher or a special, but I always try and mix things up to keep feuds fresh. Sometimes I will try and end a match with an okite yaburi or a another big match spot. I will really try and work out something fresh for big matches.

Okite Yaburi is done while grappling press the breath button with small and medium attack all together. You can only do it once per match and you'll know it worked because Okite Yaburi will pop up on the screen.
Depending on the promotion I am running, I will try and have matches in accordance with how the real promotion runs matches. With NJPW and NOAH matches I don't really have to do much tweaking but if I am running classic King's Road AJPW matches I will sometimes adjust parameters to try and get 30+ minute big matches. Also with King's Road matches I will turn off submissions as those matches rarely ever ended by submission. With the limited movesets I also try not to spam the same big moves too much otherwise it makes them look ineffectual.
Tag matches I will always try and work in plenty of double teaming and a lot of people forget about pinning opponents arms behind their backs for a partner strike, or lifting them up on your shoulders to set them up for a top rope double team. I know a few people who didn't even know this was in the game because you rarely ever see players use it.

I just kinda go with whatever feels right for the match. I'm generally trying to win, but if the cpu tries to pin off of something big, finisher or not, a lot of the time I'll just be like "yeah, that's the finish" and not try to kick out

You know i never try in all my life the okite yaburi thru my depression fire pro has been bringing me out of my funk. Love this game. I always wanted to know how everyone else played. I tell you organizing japan promotions is hard cuz i don’t know who’s tag team or not

I usually try to finish with a finisher. Or sometimes, I'll do what feels right for the match.

It's probably the match ranking system. If you don't get a high score you feel like you're doing something wrong.

I don't play online anymore at all. Last night completely turned me off. I ran into three players that only wanted to spam long range hits with all their points maxed out. Then constantly run at me to knock me down so I couldn't work a match. I wouldn't waste my time doing that shit ever again.

I rarely sim matches, usually I play as whoever I want to lose in whatever storyline I have set up to make sure they do the job (Sometimes I'll accidently win through a fluke) every once in a while I'll actually try to win, usually after putting on the best possible match and ending on a high spot

I play almost every matches, i really enjoy the game with a lot of mods, it never disappoint me. Sometimes i (try to) win the match with the finisher or a signature move, but sometimes i finish it with an illegal move (ex: a chair shot if the ref is down, or a low blow and then a small package).
I really can't believe that only few people enjoy playing the game instead of sim....
