Can someone breakdown what is good about the booking mod?

I do not really get into using mods at all as everytime I do I either mess up the install or something goes broken on them that crashes my game. I heard about this booking mod that allows you to pick who will win and other stuff. Can someone give me a run down of what makes the booking mod great before I try and get this stuff working? 

I tried google did not find anything substantial.
