EDEN-1 (episode 8) GENESIS TOURNAMENT (NIGHT 3) 3/23/21 at 7pm EST The Genesis Tournament continues! Eight women move on to the tournament quarterfinals. Each comes with a hunger and drive to become the promotion's inaugural Genesis Champion. Who will rise up -- and who will fall in their quest for gold and glory?
Match 1: Handicap Match Salome St. James vs. Artemisia Frost, Esmeralda Mistica, Scatterheart, and ???? Still surging with a newfound confidence (or is that arrogance?) after her better-than-expected showing against Jocelynn Wahl (keep in mind: she still lost), Salome St. James attempts the unthinkable: she makes a formal request to join Martial Law. Both amused and perturbed by this impertinent request, Wahl tells the “Heavy Metal Succubus” that she’ll consider her request… if she can survive a 4-on-1 handicap match against her foot soldiers. To make things even more interesting, Wahl calls in a favor from an old friend of hers — a top-shelf talent who recently signed with the promotion. Who could this be?
Match 2: Quarter Finals Match Zenobia vs. Kijo Their tenuous alliance all but shattered, Zenobia and Kijo brace themselves for an all-out war for wrestling supremacy, their animosity almost palpable. Both competitors—already strange and taciturn in the locker room—have become downright silent and enigmatic as of late. This will be an all-out war.
Match 3: Quarter Finals Match Jocelynn Wahl vs. Gunner Hashimoto A veritable clash of legends. Wahl and Hashimoto have squared off before in the past, duking it out for 30 minutes until the so-called “Basilisk” made her opponent tap out to the Inferno of Torture. Now the Martial Law faction leader seeks to make amends for this unavenged loss — and vows to annihilate her opponent in a sudden blur of violence.
Match 4: Quarter Finals Match Shino Sakamoto vs. Yuko Akashi Desperate to step out of Sakamoto’s looming shadow, Asashi comes into this match hungry to prove herself against the promotion’s biggest rising star. To up the stakes of this match, Asashi has also promised a dramatic change to her finisher—the Confectionary Catastrophe—which will carry her all the way to the tournament finals.
Match 5: Quarter Finals Match Arcadia Naruse (c) vs. Miho Imagawa The Mega-Aces explode! Past and present collide as Miho Imagawa—an all-time legend in the world of women’s wrestling—faces off against the newly crowned EDEN-1 World Champion. The stakes are particularly high considering their past relationship, as Imagawa mentored Naruse during her time as a young recruit. Which woman will stand supreme and declare herself the new Ace of the company?

QUICK RESULTS FOR EPISODE 8
Scatterheart, Esmeralda Mistica, Artemisia Frost, and Althea Cross d. Salome St. James 15:25 [70%] Zenobia d. Kijo (16:05) [93%] Jocelynn Wahl d. Gunner Hashimoto (9:55) [76%] Yuko Asashi d. Shino Sakamoto (13:59) [89%] Miho Imagawa d. Arcadia Naruse (27:13) [100%] FULL RESULTS FOR EPISODE 8Match 1: Scatterheart, Esmeralda Mistica, Artemisia Frost, and Althea Cross d. Salome St. James 15:25 [70%] Trial by combat. Salome St. James clearly bit off more than she could chew as Martial Law’s newest recruit—the self-proclaimed Poison Nymph, Althea Cross—strode into the ring. A longtime friend and former tag partner of Jocelynn Wahl, Cross made an extraordinary debut. From the beginning, St. James didn’t stand a chance, with Cross clubbing and kicking her to the ground before pummeling her with an Overdriver. From there, it was elementary. Each member of Martial Law continually pummeled St. James until Cross took the victory after a annihilative Fujita Vertical Drop.
Match 2: Zenobia d. Kijo (16:05) [93%] This was an extraordinary violent and protracted battle, with the possible dissolution of a friendship driving both wrestlers to give their all. This tenuous partnership was put to the test as both women tried to annihilate one another’s necks and exchanged aerial maneuvers. Both seemed evenly matched, and even the end was inconclusive, with Zenobia sneaking in with a roll-up pin that came out of nowhere.
Match 3: Jocelynn Wahl d. Gunner Hashimoto (9:55) [76%] This was a dual-fisted slugfest that began with a furious exchange of blows and suplexes. Hashimoto tried to secure her victory, even locking in the Inferno of Torture a couple of times, but her technical wizardry was no match for Wahl’s brutishness. Wahl hit her with a Pump Handle Emerald Flowsion and claimed a surprisingly swift victory.
Match 4: Yuko Asashi d. Shino Sakamoto (13:59) [89%] The biggest upset of the night, as the projected winner and number one seed of our tournament lost out to her protege and relative underdog. The match began with measured pace, but Asashi’s furious (and at times reckless) offense erupted in brief spurts, wearing her opponent down. Sakimoto put up a valiant fight, seeming to clinch victory with an Overdriver and running Senton, but Asashi countered with the Confectionary Catastrophe and defeated the future Ace and fellow stablemate.
Match 5: Miho Imagawa d. Arcadia Naruse (27:13) [100%] Mentor and protege… champion and challenger… this was a real barn burner. Naruse and Imagawa put on a wrestling clinic, pulling out all the stops in a match that drove the crowd wild. In the end, Imagawa’s experience and wrestling acumen was too much for Naruse to overcome. Imagawa seemed close to claiming victory near the end, wrecking Naruse with as Celestial Deathstrike that only secured a two count. Imagawa continued her assault, retaliating with a series of dropkicks before stealing one of Naruse’s signature moves: the Sniper Cross Face. In a humiliating turn of events, the EDEN-1 World Champion lost her bid for double gold to her former mentor… using her own move. THE SEMI-FINALSMiho Imagawa vs. Jocelynn Wahl Yuko Asashi vs. Zenobia

EDEN-1 (episode 9) GENESIS TOURNAMENT - FINALS 7/15/21 at 7pm ESTThe Genesis Tournament concludes. Four women vie to become the inaugural Genesis Champion: joshi legend Miho Imagawa, former EDEN-1 World Champion Jocelynn Wahl, spirited newcomer Yuko Asashi, and The Furies’ chief lieutenant Zenobia. Who will reign supreme?
Match 1: Genesis Tournament Semifinals Match Miho Imagawa vs. Jocelynn Wahl The long-awaited rematch! From the moment she was bested at Fatal Genesis, losing out on becoming the inaugural EDEN-1 World Champion, Imagawa has been desperate for a rematch against Wahl. Will she be able to overcome the fury and wrath of her greatest rival, whose all-consuming hunger for gold around her waist has driven her to new extremes?
Match 2: Genesis Tournament Semifinals Match Zenobia vs. Yuko Asashi Both women have something to prove. Zenobia wishes to pull herself from beneath Arcadia Naruse’s thumb and ascend to as the new leader of The Furies. Meanwhile, Yuko Asashi seeks to reestablish herself after an embarrassing string of defeats, chiefly against her mentor and faction leader Miho Imagawa.
Match 3: Tag Match Artemisia Frost and Althea Cross (with Esmeralda Frost) vs. Evie Armitage and Shirin Panahi Althea Cross—the newest recruit to Martial Law—demands “more necks to crush beneath my boot,” using this tag match as a pretext to establish her dominance.
Match 4: Singles Match Felis Concolor vs. Salome St. James Crestfallen after yet another humiliating loss, St. James is at her wit’s end — and has threatened “total obliterating f***ing violence” against her manager, Orange Watanabe. To appease her client, Watanabe has booked a match with EDEN-1’s newest signing: the enigmatic 17-year-old “wrestling prodigy” Felis Concolor. Will St. James finally end her losing streak?
Match 5: Genesis Championship #1 Contender Match Shino Sakamoto vs. Kijo vs. Gunner Hashimoto An eliminator match to select the first Genesis Championship contender that—hypothetically—pits all four Round 2 losers against one another. Enraged that she would be lumped in with this “merry band of second-stringers,” Arcadia Naruse officially withdrew her name from contention, essentially turning this Fatal Fourway into a Threeway Dance.
Match 6: Genesis Tournament Finals ??? vs. ??? Who will become the first ever Genesis Champion?

RESULTS
Match 1: Miho Imagawa d. Jocelynn Wahl via pinfall from Firebird Stomp (39:56) [100%] In a match destined to break the Meltzer scale even further, Miho Imagawa and Jocelynn Wahl pulverized one another in a violent and hard-hitting rematch that easily ranks as a potential MOTY and one of the best bouts in EDEN-1 history. This was a war of attribution, with each competitor exchanging lariats, kicks, knee strikes, and suplexes, jockeying to gain ground in a hard-fought match. There was a huge shift of momentum near the end, as Wahl stole Imagawa’s finisher and decimated her with a Celestial Deathstrike. But Imagawa fought on, surviving chair shots and an endless succession Pump Handle Emerald Flowsions (including a nasty-looking one outside the ring). In the end, Imagawa countered with snap suplexes and kicks, with the action spilling out into the ring until Imagawa delivered a double dose of Super Kicks, went airborne with a Firebird Stomp, and cliched victory at the 39+ minute mark.
Match 2: Yuko Asashi d. Zenobia via pinfall from Confectionary Catastrophe (17:42] (99%) Another excellent match, far more fast and frenetic than the last one. Throughout huge portions of the match, Zenobia dominated her opponent, taking her out with an onslaught of Tilt-a-Whirl DDTS, Angel Wings, and what seemed like a climactic Endless Reign at the seven-minute mark. But Asashi persevered, kicking out and surviving her opponent’s furious onslaught before turning the tides with an out-of-nowhere Flapjack that inexorably led to the Confectionary Catastrophe. Asashi redeemed herself with a hard-fought victory, bringing her one step closer to championship gold.
Match 3: Althea Cross and Artemisia Frost d. Shirin Panahi and Evie Armitage via submission from Welcome to the Pleasuredome (28:00) [84%] Not the total squash some were expecting, but close enough. Panahi and Armitage put up a pretty good fight, but Frost and Cross both fought dirty, with the match itself devolving into an unhinged brawl. In the end, Cross finished Panahi off with a Fujita Vertical Drop and a sneaky Welcome to the Pleasuredome for a tap-out victory.
Match 4: Salome St. James (with Orange Watanabe) d. Felis Concolor via pinfall from brass knuckle punch (21:03) [78%] The anti-streak is FINALLY over. In what can only be described as an embarrassing debut for Concolor, whose constant attempts at victory were thwarted by endless cheating, St. James eked out her first victory in EDEN-1. She didn’t accomplish this through skill and acumen though. Watanabe distracted the ref numerous times, most notably when Concolor brought St. James down with a suplex and got the visible three-count. Concolor’s offense was relentless and impressive, but St. James eventually won with a sneaky brass knuckles punch that knocked her opponent out. But regardless: a win is a win. Where will St. James go from here?
Match 5: Gunner Hashimoto d. Shino Sakamoto (via submission) vs. Kijo (via submission) (27:53) [100%] In what could only be described as a dominant performance, Gunner Hashimoto demolished both Kijo and Sakamoto in a grueling match that pushed each woman to the limit. This was a veritable spot-fest, with Kijo tapping out at the midpoint from a Tazplex and Fujiwara Armbar from Hashimoto. From there, the battle became a heated exchange between Sakamoto and Hashimoto, frequently spilling outside the ring. In the end, Hashimoto bested the rising star with a sneaky, out-of-nowhere Inferno of Torture. Hashimoto advances up the card and gains her guaranteed title shot for the Genesis Championship.
Match 6: Miho Imagawa d. Yuko Asashi via pinfall from Celestial Deathstrike (14:13) [96%] Asashi came into this match hot, unleashing a hyperkinetic flurry of offense that wiped Imagawa out right out of the gate. She wrestled like she had something to prove — which she did, considering her ongoing quest for redemption. Unfortunately for her, Imagawa quickly regained her footing and took Asashi down with a series of strikes. It was a heated match, but the mentor eventually bested her protege with Snapmare Dropkick and Celestial Deathstrike. Asashi’s redemption tour ended in ruin — but her mentor, Imagawa, further solidified her legacy as one of the all-time greats of Joshi wrestling, becoming the promotion’s first ever Genesis Champion.
Starting next week, EDEN-1 launches another tournament to create a new championship for tag team wrestling. Each faction has selected from its ranks small groupings of teams, who will complete in an elimination style tournament over the next couple of weeks. Here are the teams: Walpurgis Night (Zenobia and Kijo)
Despite internal frictions between these two self-proclaimed loners, Zenobia crosses faction lines once again to team up with Kijo and claim championship gold. Precision Strike (Nikita Lux and Fatou Diop)
Equal parts brute force and technical precision, Lux and Diop form the perfect tag team to bring more championship gold to The Furies. Crimson Slaughter Society (Salome St. James and Orange Watanabe)
Despite her recent shift in fortune, St. James STILL couldn’t find anyone to tag with her… which means she’s forced to team up with EDEN-1 owner and her erstwhile manager Orange Watanabe. Dream Factory (Shirin Panahi and Evie Armitage)
Panahi and Armitage have teamed up in the past before — and as the promotion’s relative newcomers/dojo outsiders, the two of them are ready to step things up a bit and make a name for themselves. Spiral Destinies (Yuko Asashi and Felis Concolor)
Concolor and Asashi have bonded over their streak of bad luck and embarrassing losses, hence bringing about their temporary alliance. Will they redeem themselves? Holy Celestial Strike Force (Shino Sakamoto and Gunner Hashimoto)
Following their recent match, Hashimoto has decided to take the crestfallen Sakamoto (still reeling from her poor showing in the Genesis Tournament) under her wing. Más Negro que la Noche (Esmeralda Frost and Artemisa Frost)
Two ruthless and enigmatic figures with considerable tag chemistry — and probably Martial Law’s best hopes at championship glory. The Untamed (Althea Cross and Scatterheart)
Althea Cross continues her path of violence, teaming up with fellow faction-mate Scatterheart to crack skulls and crush necks.
