EDEN-1 Pro Wrestling is a Japanese women’s wrestling promotion co-founded by legendary Joshi superstar Miho Imagawa. It emerged—furious and phoenix-like—from the ashes of Ribbon-Rev Joshi Pro, a now-defunct indie promotion that had languished through much of the past decade due to gross mismanagement and mistreatment of its roster. Despite its earliest creative promise, Ribbon-Rev eventually squandered all of its momentum and good will through a number of disastrous managerial decisions, driving the company into a creative tailspin that led to its inevitable bankruptcy. Chief amongst its failures was sidelining much of its core roster, instead elevating idols with limited in-ring experience over its veterans and early prospects. This decision led to the departure of the promotion’s two most celebrated stars: “The Devil’s Right Hand” Ai Adachi (who signed a multiyear contract with a major US company) and “Celestial Striker” Miho Imagawa.
Imagawa—a long-storied legend within Japanese pro wrestling—spurned the advances of two major American promotions to found EDEN-1. Envisioned as a promotion that emphasized athleticism and in-ring competition over gimmickry and crude theatrics, EDEN-1 became a veritable Shangri-La for both talented up-and-comers and international superstars from across the globe. This handpicked roster formed the backbone for this fledging company, showing their commitment to presenting Joshi wrestling in a different light. Imagawa also spearheaded the creation of the EDEN-1 Dojo, which sought to bring to the public the next generation of wrestling superstars.
But Imagawa’s idyllic vision for EDEN-1 came under immediate threat. First, there was the rift that came between two of her top students: Shino Sakamoto and Arcadia Naruse. Former tag team partners, the two drifted apart and became the bitterest of rivals. In retaliation against Sakamoto and her former teacher, Arcadia Naruse declared herself the de facto leader of The Furies, a faction of "wrestling outcasts" dedicated to rebuilding the legacy of women’s wrestling outside of the shadow of Imagawa and her ilk. Then came the hiring of Jocelynn Wahl, a woman once hailed as one of the most dominant and iconic women wrestlers in all of America. At first, this was deemed a major coup for EDEN-1 — but it immediately became a source of angst and friction. Wahl—long blackballed and shut-out from every major American promotion for her bullying attitude and backstage politicking—quickly grew incensed when she realized that upper management hired her as a secondary attraction to newer, fresher talents. She decided to take matters into her own hands. Dubbing herself “the People’s Ace,” Wahl formed an insurgent faction of gaijin talents known as Martial Law. She then challenged Imagawa to a match on the promotion’s inaugural’s show to determine the first ever holder of the EDEN-1 World Championship — a long-fabled match-up between veterans that immediately electrified the landscape of Japanese wrestling. Imagawa accepted, in part to save the promotion that she had given everything to build.
And then there’s Ai Adachi, whose US contract is said to expire sometime before the end of the year.

Bio: Trained in Muay Thai and Pencak Silat from the age of 11, Miho Imagawa quickly amassed a rabid fanbase throughout Japan for her brutal combination of martial arts and mat fundamentals. She entered into professional wrestling as a teenager under the tutelage of Emi Sakura, who first coined the nickname that would stick to Imagawa throughout most of her career: the Celestial Striker. Renowned for her thunderous, high-velocity striking abilities, Imagawa quickly ascended through the dojo system before touring with numerous promotions and catching the attention of Ribbon-Rev Joshi Pro. From there, Imagawa became the promotion’s centerpiece star, gaining a reputation as one of the nation’s leading Joshi talents. In particular, Imagawa’s violent, bitter rivalry against “The Devil’s Right Hand” Ai Adachi launched her into a new stratosphere of stardom, their matches becoming a red-hot draw throughout the nation. However, as Ribbon-Rev’s gross mismanagement of talent drove most of its roster away, Imagawa made a sudden and acrimonious departure from the promotion — but this wasn’t the end.
Spurning the advances of two major American promotions, Miho Imagawa partnered with eccentric heiress Orange Watanabe to co-found EDEN-1 Pro Wrestling, a refuge for celebrated veterans and promising up-and-comers alike. Imagawa also spearheaded the creation of the EDEN-1 Dojo, putting herself in charge of training the next generation of Joshi superstars. This cadre of trainees and early prospects soon became known as the Holy Celestial Army, learning the fundamentals and paving the way for Joshi’s future. For Imagawa, this would be an ideal end to her career, easing into retirement as she ushered in a new era of women wrestlers. This all changed, however, when Jocelynn Wahl challenged her for the EDEN-1 World Championship, forcing her to return to the ring and seek dominance one last time.
Name: Shino Sakamoto
Nickname: Top-Rope Teleporter
Finisher: Teleportation Press
Faction: Celestial Holy Army
Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2180081511
Bio: In almost every respect, the stories of Shino Sakamoto and Arcadia Naruse are inexorably intertwined, their parallel destinies tethered to the bitter end. To start, both learned to love professional wrestling through their fathers. For Sakamoto, professional wrestling was always a “family business,” as her father had gained prominence throughout the 80s and 90s as Bulldozer Sakamoto, a Strong Style specialist par excellence. Sakamoto learned the fundamentals from her father at an early age, although the frenzied, high-octane style she’d later adopt was a significant departure from the more grounded technique of her father. Naruse, meanwhile, first fell in love with the sport at the tender age of six, watching and rewatching her father’s VHS bootleg of the now-legendary 1994 NJPW Super J Cup match against Wild Pegasus and The Great Sasuke. From that moment on, Naruse decided to dedicate herself to becoming a professional wrestler, even adopting the “Pegasus” monicker for herself when she first entered into training. Equally explosive and athletic in the ring, Naruse and Sakamoto soon found themselves taken up as Miho Imagawa’s earliest proteges, the fledgling students of what would later become known as the EDEN-1 Dojo. Naruse and Sakamoto started off as the bitterest rivals, but eventually bonded through endless sparring and training and became close friends. The two would eventually find their greatest triumph through the formation of the Kusarigama Girls, a formidable tag team that roared across multiple promotions and picked up a slew of championship belts. Together, the two of them were unstoppable.
But their partnership flickered out before it ever had a chance to set the world ablaze. Naruse, overcome with jealousy and disgust for what she perceived as her partner’s “privileged second generation attitude,” split from Sakamoto shortly before the formation of EDEN-1. Her accusations were vague and still somewhat mysterious, but the implications remained quite clear: Sakamoto had the world handed to her on a silver platter while Naruse had to struggle and strive for everything. Sakamoto was aghast at her former partner’s sudden churlishness, despite doing everything in her power to bring Naruse back into the fold. This split came at an inopportune time for both women, as two wrestlers once known as tag team specialists were now rivals once again. In the wake of this break-up, Naruse formed The Furies, a faction of “wrestling outsiders” dedicated to overthrowing the status quo of EDEN-1 and women’s wrestling in general. Sakamoto, meanwhile, became the lieutenant of Miho Imagawa’s Celestial Holy Army, itself an extension of the EDEN-1 Dojo and the so-called establishment her former partner wanted to dismantle. Needless to say, the two of them are destined to battle again — but who will reign supreme?
Name: Yuko Asashi
Nickname: Sugar Dash
Finisher: Confectionary Catastrophe
Faction: Celestial Holy Army
Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2181067190
Bio: Yuko Asashi is a relative newcomer to professional wrestling and one of the most promising graduates from the EDEN-1 Dojo. Asashi even earned high praise from her mentor Miho Imagawa, who declared her the “vanguard in our next generation of women’s wrestlers.” Asashi is a ferocious competitor despite her obvious size disadvantage, often leveraging her speed and ingenuity to her advantage. She’s also an incredibly cocky, vainglorious combatant, with far more swagger than any wrestler her age should have. She comes to EDEN-1 determined to prove herself a formidable upstart, an essential part of the Celestial Holy Army — and, if she has her way, a future world champion.
Name: Gunner Hashimoto
Nickname: The Basilisk
Finisher: Inferno of Torture
Faction: The Celestial Holy Army
Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2279336192
Bio: Gunner Hashimoto is a grizzled veteran of women’s wrestling who jumpstarted her career with a real bang of a debut: as a semifinalist in the first ever Grapple Queens tournament in Osaka. Following this impressive rookie performance, Hashimoto blazed ahead the next year and clinched victory with her pulverizing, no-nonsense, suplex-heavy style. Trained as an amateur wrestler, Hashimoto quickly cultivated a following as a true powerhouse. Her kind and jolly disposition backstage belied her utter ruthlessness in the ring, leading some of her opponents to underestimate her and then get squashed within five minutes. She was later dubbed the quintessential “wrestler’s wrestler” and toured much of the world before signing a contract with Ribbon-Rev. During this time, Hashimoto formed an inseparable bond with Miho Imagawa, even winning the tag team belts with her early in their careers. Now, at Imagawa’s behest, Gunner Hashimoto enters into a new stage in her career: as the newest recruit in the Celestial Holy Army.
An upstart tweeter faction of so-called "wrestling outsiders." Dedicated to obliterating the status quo of women's wrestling (as represented by Imagawa and the EDEN-1 Dojo). Led by Arcadia Naruse.
Name: Arcadia Naruse
Nickname: Black Pegasus
Finisher: The Shrieking Pegasus
Faction: The Furies

Name: Zenobia
Nickname: The Scarlet Empress
Finisher: Endless Reign
Faction: The Furies
Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1979173466
Bio: Little is known about Zenobia outside of her dominant record in the ring. She is an electrifying presence in the squared circle: a silent and athletic daredevil who dismantles her opponent with an almost surgical precision. A wrestling prodigy of sorts, Zenobia spent much of her early career as an itinerant trainee, touring through the US, Mexico, and Japan in order to hone her body into a lethal, high-octane weapon. She wandered from promotion to promotion with no considerations other than further honing her craft. During one of her final tours of Mexico, Zenobia first crossed paths with Esmeralda Mistica, the long-reigning AAA Reina de Reinas Champion and bane of the Lucha Libre circuit. During this fateful encounter, Zenobia stripped Mistica of her title and—inexplicably—vacated the belt immediately after. Even today, Zenobia seems entirely disinterested in fan adulation or championship belts. She merely wants to be the best.
It wasn’t long before Zenobia caught the attention of Arcadia Naruse, the de facto leader of The Furies, a self-made faction of “wrestling outsiders.” Impressed with her long-cultivated in-ring talent, Naruse recruited Zenobia as her personal lieutenant. This was a calculated risk for Naruse, who considered whether Zenobia’s in-ring acumen outweighed her wayward and capricious nature. Their alliance remains tentative and steeped in mistrust, particularly as Naruse continues to question her new protege’s allegiance.
Describing herself as the “Scarlet Empress,” Zenobia also claims to be the reincarnation of the Palmyrenean queen of the same name. Any verifiable evidence to support this claim has yet to surface.
Name: Fatou Diop
Nickname: The Duchess
Finisher: This Woman's Work
Faction: The Furies
Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2108992407
Bio: Living much of her adult life in extreme affluence and wealth, Fatou Diop’s interest in professional wrestling started off as purely academic. She viewed it as a bizarre Bretchian spectacle: camp, excess, and pantomime all rolled into the traditions of epic theater. Even when she first entered training, signing up as a recruit at the NWA-UK Hammerlock training school while still pursuing her MA at Cambridge, she did so in an impulsive, half-jesting manner. Within three months, however, Diop had dropped out of her graduate program to dedicate herself fully to professional wrestling. What had started off as a lark and dalliance quickly flourished into a desperate love and devotion. Diop trained harder and harder, transforming herself into one of the hottest up-and-comers in all of BritWres. She refashioned herself into a formidable submission specialist, bending and contorting her slight frame to twist her opponents into knots until they inevitably tap out.
A brilliant technical wrestler, Diop spent the next few years touring through much of Europe before traveling to her next great conquest: Japan. She eventually signed with EDEN-1 in the hopes of finding a new breed of opponent to snap and submit. Capturing the attention of Arcadia Naruse, Diop also became a member of The Furies, a rising faction of “wrestling outsiders” seeking to become the dominant force in women’s pro wrestling. For Diop, EDEN-1 remains little more than a battlefield through which she can prove her brilliance and domination.
Name: Nikita Lux
Nickname: Divine Death
Finisher: Unchallenged Hate
Faction: The Furies
Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2176699872
Bio: A graduate of the Storm Wrestling Academy, Nikita Lux roamed from promotion to promotion like a furious hurricane. She became notorious throughout the US and Canada for her sheer brutality, slugging it out in matches that threatened to end the careers of her opponents. She was a remorseless killing machine, earning the nickname “Divine Death” from a locker room that feared her. This propensity for unbridled savagery made some promotions reticent to book her, especially since she seemed utterly devoid of regret at the trail of broken bodies behind her. It wasn’t long before this brutish, hyper-violent style caught the attention of Japanese promoters, who brought her in as a “monster gaijin” attraction. Undeterred, Lux agreed to playing the role, perversely elated that she had found a second home that would allowed her to run roughshod on her opponents. It wasn’t long before EDEN-1 came to her with a contract offer. Upon signing, Lux aligned herself with Arcadia Naruse and the Furies, acting as the de-facto leader’s hired muscle. She became a bodyguard, shadowing her benefactor at every turn.
A heel faction made up entirely of gaijins. Seeks to dominate and destroy EDEN-1 from the inside-out. Led by Jocelynn Wahl.
Name: Jocelynn Wahl
Nickname: The People's Ace
Finisher: Bunker Buster
Faction: Martial Law (leader)
Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2084478765
Bio: Jocelynn Wahl is a wrestler whose reputation has long preceded her—both for good and for ill. Blazing a trail through every major wrestling promotion in the United States, Wahl soon transcended the barriers set in place for women competitors and became an internationally renowned superstar of the highest order. For fans across the globe, Wahl stood head and shoulders above her rivals as an inimitable, no-nonsense powerhouse with charisma to burn. Behind the scenes, however, Wahl cultivated a reputation as a fragile egomaniac and relentless backstage politicker, bullying her way to the top. Despite her undeniable drawing power, Wahl’s antics eventually led to her being blackballed by every promotion she’d ever worked with. Wahl, unable to find high-paying work in the United States, exiled herself to Japan.
EDEN-1 was supposed to be the beginning of Wahl’s redemption arc. However, upon discovering that she had been hired as a secondary novelty act who would be sidelined by younger talents, Wahl retaliated against the promotion with full force. Dubbing herself “the People’s Ace,” Wahl formed an insurgent faction of gaijin talents known as Martial Law. She challenged company headliner and co-founder Miho Imagawa to a match on the promotion’s inaugural’s show to determine the first ever winner of the EDEN-1 World Championship. For Wahl, redemption turned into another full-on assault against a world that had turned on her.
Name: Scatterheart
Nickname: The Lethal Enforcer
Finisher: Funeral Tango
Faction: Martial Law
Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2094293477
Bio: A brutal and uncompromising bruiser within the EDEN-1 roster, Scatterheart is the so-called “Lethal Enforcer” of Martial Law. She is an intense, taciturn figure more comfortable communicating with her fists than through words. Scatterheart is also unwaveringly loyal to Jocelynn Wahl, who handpicked her as an early protege during the first stretch of her career. She was a virtual nobody in professional wrestling before Wahl first took her under her wing, teaching her about the utter ruthlessness needed to succeed both in the ring and backstage. She became a devoted acolyte — and an apt pupil at leveraging violence to get her way. As such, Scatterheart has refashioned herself into an instrument of battle, ready to sacrifice herself for Wahl’s plans to seize control of EDEN-1.
Name: Esmeralda Mistica
Nickname: La Hija del Engano
Finisher: Santa Sangre
Faction: Martial Law
Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2087358225
Bio: Long feared and despised within the Lucha Libre circuit, Esmeralda Mistica remains one of the most highly lauded (and highly controversial) figures in Mexican wrestling. During her tenure in Mexico, Mistica tore through every promotion she worked for, winning numerous championships with an ostentatious, high-velocity frenzy of offense. She also grew more arrogant and violently protective of her reputation with each subsequent victory, particularly during her ruthless “reign of terror” as the AAA Reina de Reinas Champion. Her rage and preening egotism—both inside and outside of the ring—became legendary.
After her ignominious defeat to Zenobia, who stripped her of her title and relinquished it on the same night, Mistica became a more reactionary and sadistic figure, especially behind the scenes. This descent reached its nadir after a blistering on-air promo from Mariana Desaparecido (where she declared Mistica the “reina de perdedores”) led to a violent locker room altercation. Mistica overpowered Desaparecido, taking her down to the floor with an armbar right before breaking her arm in two places. This was the ignominious end of Mistica’s career in Mexico.
Since signing with EDEN-1, Mistica has regained focused, channeling her resentment and rage into becoming the best once again. She has aligned herself with Martial Law, the villainous gaijin faction started by Jocelynn Wahl, and prepares herself daily for her inevitable rematch against the woman who singlehandedly ruined her life: Zenobia.
Name: Artemisia Frost
Nickname: The Tyrant Assassin
Finisher: Weeping Lamentations
Faction: Martial Law
Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2225437760
Bio: Artemisia Frost started off on the Indies using her real name, Yvonne Arnold. Largely unsuccessful, Arnold toured through numerous promotions as a sort of journeywoman before rediscovering herself during a tour in Japan. From there, she adopted the Artemisia Frost persona and entered the direct tutelage of “The Devil’s Right Hand” Ai Adachi, who refashioned “Arnold” into a cruel, remorseless enforcer. Frost acted as Adachi’s personal assassin—coldly dispatching her enemies within the ring—until her mentor’s eventual departure to the WWE. But even Adachi’s abrupt exit from Japanese wrestling couldn’t stop Frost, who remained a calculating menace both in the ring and outside of it, cultivating a reputation as one of the most terrifying women in professional wrestling. Now, upon signing with EDEN-1, Frost has aligned herself with Martial Law and seems tangentially involved in Jocelynn Wahl’s grasp for power. But how will this change upon the long-rumored return of Ai Adachi?
Wrestlers lacking any known faction affiliation at this time.
Name: Kijo
Nickname: The Blighted One
Finisher: Oni Breaker
Faction: Unaffiliated
Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2087357296
Bio: Before her sudden transformation into the self-proclaimed “Blighted One,” Kijo was more popularly known as “Yui Nagano,” a bubbly, overenthusiastic high-flyer long relegated (at least during her Ribbon-Rev career) to the bottom of the card. Nagano’s love for professional wrestling was bottomless and infectious, and her knowledge of its history and progenitors near-encyclopedic. This enthusiasm never waned or faltered, even as the upper management at Ribbon-Rev shunted her off to dark matches and multi-woman tags. Despite her early promise (and top star Miho Imagawa’s full-throated support of her), Nagano’s career sputtered out. She departed from Ribbon-Rev a forgotten second-stringer.
Nagano returned to professional wrestling two years later, radically altered and transformed into something stranger and more demonic. Calling herself “Kijo,” she re-entered the Joshi circuit a cruel and unhinged annihilator, blending her high-energy style with a newfound ruthlessness. She appeared deranged and unpredictable, taking glee in her savage beatdowns of her opponents. She was aloof, constantly alone, a distorted reflection of her former self. Nagano was no more. There was only Kijo.
Kijo blazed a trail through every promotion she worked for before Imagawa invited her to sign with EDEN-1. Despite her early support, Imagawa was aghast at the change that had come over her former protege — and she immediate wondered what unintended consequences might arise from bringing her to the EDEN-1 roster.
Name: Salome St. James
Nickname: Heavy Metal Succubus
Finisher: Sweets 2 the Sweet
Faction: Unaffiliated
Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2094293638
Bio: Salome St. James comes into EDEN-1 with a chip on her shoulder. A dirty fighter prone to cutting every corner imaginable, St. James has always been something of a defiant loner. She doesn’t want alliances or accolades. She doesn’t want championship belts. She merely wants to cause havoc and misery in an industry that has long disrespected her, pulverizing her opponents through any means necessary. St. James signed with EDEN-1 purely to sow chaos and crack skulls — and she's eager to get started.
Name: Shirin Panahi
Nickname: Pale Flower
Finisher: Sultana's Hammer
Faction: Unaffiliated
Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2176700067
Bio: Shirin Panahi entered the world of professional wrestling via a circuitous route, first gaining fame and recognition throughout the world as a competitive powerlifter. In 2016, Panahi entered the public limelight after becoming the first Iranian woman to claim the gold medal at the Weightlifting IWF Naim Suleymanoglu Tournament. This accomplishment brought her a tremendous amount of fame and adulation, allowing her to tour the world as a cultural ambassador and celebrity. Despite this, Panahi quickly grew disaffected with her status as a “cultural icon” and migrated to Japan, where she resided with a cousin who had immigrated and settled in the Kanto region. During this time, Panahi first met legendary trainer Emi Sakura and made the decision to transition into a career in pro wrestling. Signing up as a new recruit at the Gatoh Move School, Panahi quickly excelled and became a formidable force within the squared circle, agile and powerful in equal measure. Even though she was still relatively new to the scene, Miho Imagawa quickly scouted her out for EDEN-1 and offered her a contract. Panahi signed without hesitation, ready to step up her game and hone her skills on new opponents.
Name: Evie Armitage
Nickname: Wind Dancer
Finisher: Calamity Waltz
Faction: Unaffiliated
Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2181067308
Bio: Despite her relative inexperience, Evie Armitage has quickly become a favorite within the British independent scene, taking the wrestling world by storm with her flamboyant, high-velocity arsenal of moves. She still has quite a lot to learn, but comes to EDEN-1 seeking to further hone her craft and climb her way to the top.
Name: Orange Watanabe
Nickname: The Money Mark
Finisher: Microphone Attack
Faction: Owner
Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2176700218
Bio: Before co-founding EDEN-1 with Miho Imagawa, Orange Watanabe was mostly known as an eccentric and somewhat aloof global entrepreneur with several ventures under her belt. She first came to prominence as the founder and majority shareholder of GoNaGaGa, a mobile gaming and technology company that functioned as the first peg of Watanabe’s billion dollar tech and multimedia empire. Despite this staggering success, Watanabe retired as CEO of GoNaGaGa in 2015 in order to pursue her most quixotic of fantasies: managing her own pro wrestling promotion. A diehard mark since her early childhood, Watanabe poured her considerable wealth into co-founding EDEN-1, handling the new promotion’s multiple revenue streams as Miho Imagawa worked on building its roster. For Watanabe, it was a lifelong dream come true… at first. Despite her advanced age and nonexistent in-ring skill, the ever-eccentric Watanabe decided to indulge in her misbegotten fantasies of going toe-to-toe with the some of the best of EDEN-1’s star-studded roster. This, of course, has led to some unintended consequences… although, in retrospect, who hasn’t ever wanted to pulverize their boss into a bloody, quivering pulp?
CURRENT CHAMPIONS:

Link: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2180081395
