Just wondering what CPU level you all like to sim on, I've been rocking with 8 since I got the game but have been messing around recently with anything between 5-10. Trying to make the most out of simming my matches and wanted to know if any other level would make for potentially even better and more varied matches.

I like running at Level 9, 125% for streamed matches, or 300-400% for test sims. Level 9 works well in terms of the rope break slide on submissions and on generally delivering good competitive matches, I find.

I find 8 is the most fun for me to have a challenge and still consistently win the matches I want to win.

I like Level 8 at 125%. You still get the rope slide (even though I don't have rope breaks on, I still like the way it looks) but you get slightly less tests of strength than Level 9.
EDIT: or should it be "slightly fewer tests of strength"?

Think I read this too quickly, don’t sim often but do use 8 or 9. Generally play on level 8 as I find that most fun.

9... It’s a much more challenging experience. The big flaw is that timing windows are super tiny for MMA grappling. You have to be super skilled to get it right. Also Avalanche moves are also a pain to execute.
This all kind of reminds me of trying to get the timing windows correct in KoC. Brainbusters were next to impossible to hit. Fireman’s carries were shockingly easy to do. It’s a shame KoC didn’t come around during the patch era. Timing windows would be something I would want tinkered with. Well since I am talking about it. The patch work guys should open up the timing window a bit more for higher difficulties for MMA grappling.

I think I stayed on 6, but cant confirm (PC issues as of late).
Many like running higher sims for the rope-break sliding, but at the same time submissions are also held notably shorter at higher difficulties so their damage takes a huge hit.

I sim on 4 usually. It lets submissions stay on for a decent while, especially as the match progresses, and I don't care for the sliding to the ropes - I've actively disliked having an animation-free "slide" to the ropes since the AKI games. It keeps tests of strength rarer, too - with a longer potential interval for winning grapples, they tie a lot less often.

I crank it to 10 baby. I dont mind the shorter submission windows, I prefer the slide, and I feel like you get more late match counters the higher you set the difficulty.
I also see no more than 1 test of strength per match (and many matches without one at all) while at 10 so not sure that's actually a thing.

Maybe not. I haven't run a match on 10 since FPR, and in FPR you would see mad tests of strength at higher levels.

I've been simming on 8, but it doesn't matter too much as it just extends things like tests of strength, submissions and crawls (which are still kind of iffy to get a rope break). Doesn't do a whole lot in terms of outcome.

I'm simming on Level 4 because I don't like too many Tests of Strength early in the match. But now that I see Lanky's post, I wonder if I ever actually simmed on Level 7 or 8 in FPW to give it a try. Maybe early on but I don't remember. I do really wish my sims could make use of the crawling animation but I've been hesitant to try the higher levels. I don't think it affect the RNG or logic in any other way. I'll have to give it a try 😎
Only drawback is that I do like longer submissions than the higher levels give. I love watching the attacker crank like 4 times and the defender hold out then finally submit the 5th time. It adds drama to the hold.
