Not sure if this goes here, but Im having a problem when creating submission moves that i can not figure out for the life of me. After the initial animation loop, the Defender will suddenly move a few spots away from the Attacker. By the end of the submission move the Defender is usually on the other side of the ring. This has happened with all of my attempts. It only happens in matches though, not in the Move Craft program itself, so its hard to figure out
btw ive posted a lot of Tazplexes, focusing on his moveset for now, check them out (intransigent_omen13 on steam) and give me some feedback so i can improve them. thanks!

ITS OKAY OMEN! π Not sure if this goes here, but Im having a problem when creating submission moves that i can not figure out for the life of me. Submissions are really tricky. For me they either happen right away or I have to completely start from scratch. One thing I've noticed is that Move Crafts doesn't always like when you copy and paste into an existing animation frame. They like you to clear that library out completely of parts and then paste into the empty slot. Not sure if that helps you in this specific situation but just something to keep in mind. Also, I'm not sure if this helps but I posted this pic on Twitter yesterday. This is a submission that I did and has all the proper flags but you may also have to go into "Status" menu too. After the initial animation loop, the Defender will suddenly move a few spots away from the Attacker. By the end of the submission move the Defender is usually on the other side of the ring. This has happened with all of my attempts. It only happens in matches though, not in the Move Craft program itself, so its hard to figure out So it happens in matches but not in the Move Craft test match? Wow, I don't get that all. I've had submissions where the attackers starts slowly "floating" away from the defender. But when that occurs, it happens in the test match and actual matches. And it's usually just a small oversight I made. Have you checked the FX and FZ values? Is it possible there's some kind of setting in the "Status" menu that isn't quite right? The submission itself is being recognized though, right? The ref is coming over? btw ive posted a lot of Tazplexes, focusing on his moveset for now, check them out (intransigent_omen13 on steam) and give me some feedback so i can improve them. thanks! Nice, I gotta check them out! It's been a deluge of moves these past few days!! π

Geese!!!!
The move still works as a submission. Everything works as its supposed to other than the floating away. It always seems to happen at the final frame of the loop in every submission move i make. I have checked all the values and i cant see anything that doesnt check out. The FX and FZ values are all fine.
But you know what... those damn tricky shadows... Maybe the sprite isnt lined up with the shadow and im not seeing it... Ill be right back!

Skimming through the tutorial vids posted by spike I think for the looping frames the x and ys need to be at 0 for both attacker and defender. Otherwise for each loop it will constantly have one or both characters move

The FX and FZ values are all fine. I had that happen to me last night too. Even when I made sure the FX/FZ values were okay, there were still issues. I don't remember what I did to fix it but I think I deleted some frames, then copied/pasted frames from another move I had, and it magically got better. The mode is still very confusing to me LOL But you know what... those damn tricky shadows... Maybe the sprite isnt lined up with the shadow and im not seeing it... I've had a ton of shadow problems, especially when trying to use the hitboxes for C2C moves. I'd say shadow problems have plagued at least 1/3 of the moves I've tried to make. I understand how to move the edit + shadow and how to move the edit alone. But what I don't understand is the significance of doing either one as to how the game recognizes it. IT'S FOUR HOURS LATER - WHERE ARE YOU!? π² GUYS - OMEN TRIED TO FIX A MOVE AND HE GOT SUCKED INTO THE GAME!!!!!!! (Spike should patch that bug)

In a sense, the shadow is what the computer sees - that's the edit's "actual" in-code location. That's why moving an edit off their shadow gives you weird teleportation issues; the computer is trying to snap the edit back to where it "really" is. What I'm not sure of is if there's ever a use for moving the edit off their shadow in the first place. But I haven't played with a lot of movement, just stationary strikes and wrestling moves. And yeah, they need to fix that "disappearing time" bug. Every time I exit move craft, the time everywhere is suddenly like four hours later than it's supposed to be.

The shadow thing didnt fix it ughh I have been sucked into this game lol move maker is literally EXACTLY what i wanted in Fire Pro. Ive been churning out moves because i knew for years exactly how id do this lol Skimming through the tutorial vids posted by spike I think for the looping frames the x and ys need to be at 0 for both attacker and defender. Otherwise for each loop it will constantly have one or both characters move Im assuming you mean RX and RY? Im aware of the problem that creates but thaanks!

Scratch that i just fixed it! So the data from the move AFTER the loop seems to effect it! I changed the RX and RY values of that frame and it instantly fixed it! :)

WE MISS YOU TOO!!!! π Scratch that i just fixed it! So the data from the move AFTER the loop seems to effect it! I changed the RX and RY values of that frame and it instantly fixed it! :) That is awesome news!! π And actually, I think something like that interfered with a submission of mine a few nights ago. One of the X settings were being taken into account despite being after the final submission tag. I really don't understand that. But it's good to know that this is something confirmed to be an issue so we can avoid it. The form, obviously, is what you see. Thank you! π‘ That is probably the clearest description I've seen of the difference between the values. I can't readily think of a reason for moving an edit off their shadow either unless people want a weird visual effect in the move for some reason. And yeah, they need to fix that "disappearing time" bug. Every time I exit move craft, the time everywhere is suddenly like four hours later than it's supposed to be. LOL I think the time per frame I'm spending on Move Maker may be disupting my life synch right now π

I had this same problem last night but eventually figured it out, but my move still doesnβt look quite right.
My move is kind of a Boston crab with the attacker facing the other direction and pinning the defenders arms behind his back.
In the editor I like the animation but in the test room the attack is floating a few frames higher than he is in the edit. So you see more of the defenders arms than you should. The other weird thing is that about this time the wrestlers both seem off from the shadows.
Any advice? How do you move the shadows?

Use FX and FZ to move the wrestler i still havent been able to solve this problem with all of my moves

i have a new problem. sometimes after submissions, the defender will just stand right up after the move is done. i can not figure this out. im using other moves as examples and i cant see what im doing wrong. its pretty disheartening
also hi bfx!
