So I am undertaking a big project
Creating AEW, WCW, WWE, and ECW
I am not sure is my best option to just run them as exhibition and keep records in a notebook or should I use the promotion option? I have never used it and when I watched a video it seemed like you had to spend money on people and had limits. I am not sure if you can set up like PPV events, have like a weekly raw. Any tips on how you run it or a link to a great guide with its many options? Like can i run 4 separate promotions at once?
I just want something that never ends

Or does each one I create overwrite the other?

Promoter mode just has monthly shows and can only run one promotion Ok so one show a month 12 a year, Can I save multiple separate promotions at once? Or does each one I create overwrite the other? That I do not know. I have only ran some test runs in the mode and decided it wasn't for me at least for now. Someone else will have to let you know. Other issues the mode has is that you can not run different match modes it's either all normal, all cage, all deathmatch, all swa, or all gruesome. You can run a tournament but I don't believe you can do battle royales. To start your promotion with more than 6 wrestlers you have to use a cheat code. Also all belts are the same types as njpw belts but have the name of the promotion across all the promotions

I run e-feds on here with original(mine and others) characters (e-feds dont have to be original) and some of that I also keep track of things in google docs or sheets others I just run matches and post results with some promos. So my suggestion is running stuff in just in offline matches gives you the most freedom to do things you want. If you want to add randomness to people wanting to leave a promotion for another add some other ideas to gamify that yourself. Dice rolls and rules for how content a wrestler may be with their current role and how that may effect them jumping over. Be creative with your own ideas or look around for inspiration. Have fun with it. track it in a journal or a google doc or sheet. Creative an e-fed thread to post results in or just in your own personal folder. or use the promotion mode and work around the negative effects and make it into something of your own.

Cool I will have to get creative. Will exhibition matches have any chance of outside interfernce?

Since the Returns days I been running multi promotions on exhibition I basically do the 30 day title defense rule once a month I have a big show where all titles are defended for that promotion. For past promotions I use title history and convert it to real time so like tonight I will be doing May 5 1982 World Class & Mid South show King Kong Bundy challenges Kerry Von Erich for World Class title & Junkyard Dog &Mr Olympia challenge The Wild Samoans for the UWF tag belts

You should do the research of how all that works to try to manipulate it the way you want it to.

I have a flash drive that I’ve kept the title history since returns and for past feds I keep a file on future champs so I will know of title changes till the end of the year. Modern feds I just book without a guide where past feds I’m in 1982 . My ps2 died in 2013 so when World came around where picked up where I left off and added more feds it took me about a year to get from 2013 up to date which was August 2018

I am going to do something similar EXCEPT I will let it play out so if I start at say Mania 1 and Hogan loses he loses.

A part of me wants to start in 1985 with Wrestlemania 1 and have each match from every WWE, WCW, ECW and such going forward but then I feel I would be putting AEW on hold for a long time. Still plotting in my mind a plan. Right now just setting up all the rings, stables although for now I just did an WWE, WCW, ECW, and AEW with A Babyface, Heel, and Tag. WIll add more as I go for things like NWO and such. But right now setting the foundation. Got refs for each as well. NO wrestlers downloaded yet
