Still experiencing the issue, only worse now. Without being subscribed to the edits in question the game is still no longer loading for me, and it is getting stuck earlier in the bar. Avenger had reuploaded a few of them and they worked fine at first, but now even if I unsubscribe to them again I am still getting stuck. Sent an email to support but this is super aggravating. I just want to be able to use the game.

Sorry to keep bumping this but making some progress (I think) into the issue.
I found that if I go into the Steam client while the loading bar is stuck I can go into Library--Downloads and it shows PAUSED - MISSING DOWNLOADED FILES. To the right it says UPDATE REQUIRED. Under it is an upward pointing arrow I can click to download. It does this and the loading bar moves to the next number. If you do this over and over and over it eventually gets to the end and the game loads. But it does it again when you launch the game again.
So somehow there is an update my game isn't downloading correctly?
I have cleared the download cache repeatedly. I have verified my game files. I have gone and repaired the Steam download folder. I have set my Download region to something else. I have turned off my antivirus.
It just keeps saying an update is required - not queued. I try to download manually and it just stops and says PAUSED - MISSING DOWNLOADED FILES.
Anybody with more Steam experience have any suggestions?
