Hi all. When I launch the game it gets stuck at 2172/2182 on the download bar. Those 10 items are ones recently subscribed to since the last time I launched the game. When I unsubscribe to them it loads fine. Resubscribed to the same issue. Issue seems to be downloading those items.
Any suggestions on a fix? I have already tried clearing the download cache. I left it for like an hour and nothing changed.
SOLVED!
It seems to be a Steam Workshop glitch that is happening across many different games. I was able to find a fix from another game's support discussion and it worked for me.
Find your Steam folder in Program Files (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam)
Go into steamapps--workshop--downloads
Once in there delete everything that is in there.
Launch the game and hopefully like me you will be back to normal! I even subscribed to some new edits that I had thought were causing the problem and they are now working as well.

It happened to me recently. It get stuck on the last two items. I uninstalled the last two custom parts I had donwloaded, restarted the game, downloaded again the custom parts and everything worked fine.

It sometimes stops at 2026 also. Very frustrating.

I unsubscribed from all of the recent things I had done since the last successful download. Then I was able to get the game going. Resubscribe and same issue. Seems perhaps it is failing at downloading?

It needs to download that data. Sometimes it takes a few minutes.

It needs to download that data. Sometimes it takes a few minutes. I let it sit for an hour with no progression. Just stays there.

Maybe you can contact the person who made the edits and ask if they did anything specific building or uploading those edits that caused your download to be an issue? Maybe they used the mod suite in some way? P.S. When I first read your topic, I thought you were literally trapped in some kind of internet cafe 😁 "Buzzfeed: "You won't believe what edits these users subscribed to when trapped in a Download Bar!"

I have every DLC except for Fire Promoter. The edits are from The Avenger. I think for some reason my Steam is just having an issue doing downloads. I thought maybe the fact that a few of the edits in question used custom parts was an issue so I unsubscribed to them, but the others still had the same issue. Oddly it will occasionally get stuck on an earlier number, but usually just when it gets to the newly subscribed edits. I've had the game since Early Access and never experienced this issue. And I previously had a much higher number of subscribed edits so I don't think the number is the issue. I've tried deleting download cache both in Steam and disk cleanup on my PC. I disconnected from Steam and reconnected. Same with my internet connection. No change. Very frustrating.

It just stopped at 2031/2175 this time.

I have isolated the issue to it somehow being connected to edits from The Avenger's most recent batch of uploads. I have tried a few of them individually and the problem occurs every time. I can subscribe to other edits of theirs I was not previously subscribed to without issue, same with any edits from other creators. It appears to specifically be that batch of edits. I have come across a couple other people experiencing the same loading bar issue but am awaiting word from them if they have also subscribed to the same edits in question.

So if you unsubscribe to that batch, the game loads fine for you then, right? You are able to play it? I hope so.
That's weird that a certain batch of edits causes an issue. I don't really know what the problem could be.
Over the past week I've had a few unsuccessful uploads to the Workshop. That has never happened to me before. And I'm not using the mod pack nor have I downloaded any recent DLC. So maybe the problem you are having is somehow related to the Workshop itself? Like perhaps edits recently uploaded to the Workshop over the past week or so carry a risk of this loading issue? I'm just spitballing here 😶

Game works fine without being subscribed to those edits. And I can subscribe to other edits without issue as well. I gave a shout out to The Avenger in his thread about the issue in hopes of finding out if others have had the same issue.

I responded to you in my thread, but I've reuploaded the three you're unable to download without any changes to see if that makes a difference. I haven't heard from anyone else with the same issue, and I'd assume that there's some sort of corruption on lines for those three in your savedata file.
If reuploading doesn't solve that issue, I don't think there's a resolution for you besides going to a savedata backup if you want those three off the Workshop. If you're using mods, I can also export those edits for you to import via the Mod Pack as local edits.

I just had the same issue and I only use Avenger stuff. It happened when I put in some belts. I took them out and it loaded no problem

Sadly the issue returned. Anybody else recently do a Windows Update? My computer is freezing a bit here and there the past few days. I wonder if it is causing the issue. Nothing more than a suspicion that maybe a Windows Update installed on the 3rd is causing issues.
