Just wondering if anyone would like me to take requests for base models that you can use to create sheets.
I have a lot of ideas already on who to make with parts craft and it is time consuming, so I'm not ready to take proper requests yet. But making heads for facegen is a lot quicker comparitavely. There's still an amount of photo manipulation involved and the results depend on the source material. They don't always turn out thumbs up :s
Is there anyone here that might like a base to work off, attempting head creations. I could contribute this way while still doing my own thing.
There is a topic posted here a long time ago about how to create custom heads by me, I'll link it in a while and if there's any questions I will try to help.
Here's an example- hopefully you can tell who they are meant to be or, I suppose you can pass
There might not be many people here confident or motivated enough to take this on but I thought I'd put it out. All the tools needed are free. The more content the better. And I'd like to help.

Can I ask your process? I really like the stuff you've done, they still feel very close to the authentic Fire Pro style. Is it Face Gen to just messing with them in photoshop?

Yeah well I use gimp, free software. I wish I still had photoshop it's better and there's useful scripts shared to make logos easy- but eh. I make do.
So, in facegen you eyeball the angles, take a screencap, paste it in gimp (in my case) desaturate image by hsi intensity (average it), that gets rid mostly of that big blue FG watermark you see on the theylive alien above. Select by color the background with 0 threshold and delete. When facegen is fullscreen, it seems like 13% scale reduction is a good number to reduce by, then copying/pasting into the sprite sheet.
Then scale it down the final steps judging alongside the template alredy extracted from game. Don't worry about recoloring anything until the jobs done - if you color it at all. I had troubles keeping things monochrome. I still have a lot to learn and am willing to listen.
Erase the forehead and ears, smooth tool the edges and go to the next angle.
Once the sheet is recreated with the new face and all are merged together time to recolor the work. Either by colorize or eyeball it in chroma/hue saturation. Sounds complicated. LOL
I'm just used to it, and you could be too ! XD

I'm attempting to get going on parts, since I love the Move Craft so much. I've been off the forums for a good while now, so a few questions: where can I get the templates? Especially the one with the faceless heads that you used in your old tutorial example? Any direction towards templates would be great. I'm currently attempting indie wrestler Jamie Senegal.

Oh, and any tips on making weapons/hand-held things? I desperately want to contribute to the PS4 uploads. I was thinking even trying to make table parts (to then structure onscreen for "breaking").
