As suggested in the custom parts thread, I agree that we should have a space here for the information previously posted on the other board concerning the creation of custom edit parts.

Some additional information also posted in that thread, by Carl and others...

Here's my original tutorial on how to create highlight PNGs that closely match the highlights in the game...

Hey SDSS,
Thanks so much for this tutorial. I’m working on a few things now, figured I could add and not just be a leach.
I have an upper arm sprite sheet that I am wanting to do, but when I go into the sample unity project, in the Assets window, in the PartsTex folder I only have folders for Highlights, InfoText, Face, Chest and Thigh.
How do I get the other folders?
Thanks man,
JP

Hmm. You don't see this... when you open the sample project in unity? If not, I've never encountered that. I believe the sample project only has parts for face, chest, and thigh, but it still has all the other folders when I open it. I would suggest re-downloading the saple project folder and starting over. Otherwise, perhaps Carl can provide some assistance. (He deserves most of the thanks, by the way. All the unity information is from his custom parts tutorial that I just copied over to here. I only added my process from creating highlight layers.) Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. It seems daunting when you start, but it really gets fun and easier the more you do it.

Yeah, I just have three of the folders, I will try and redownload the sample and then reach out to CZ.....I’ve done a D X shirt, Austin shirt, Lesnars back tattoo and have them out in the wild. I have a sprite sheet for a Goldberg arm tattoo and the Rocks tights, but I don’t have the folders in Unity, and I am super cautious. JP

JP So I redownloaded, and it still has just three, however the ‘Console’ speaks to the missing folders as being removed b/c they don’t exist. So I used the names from the console to recreate the folders and will give the upper arm thing a try at some point. JP
