I'm trying to visualize how they are going to botch this like they have the other dlc. Not trying to condemn them cause i know their resources are tight. Just trying to keep expectations low. Perhaps only front/back grapple moves with common generic animations will be useable such as from power bomb and suplex positions. If they go with what already works (with existing examples they can reference), it's going to be difficult to botch this. Maybe a limit on total installed moves, or something related to move sharing; handling the tool itself should be easy enough. We'll see, though.

I wouldn't doubt that there's a move install limit on PS4, just given all of Spike Chunsoft's woes with save data at launch, but I can't imagine there being a very restrictive limit on PC, since no doubt they will have worked out the issue with the bytes files generated by wazamake containing a tremendous amount of useless extra data.
It IS a 32 bit app, but on PS4, the issue is less RAM and more the idiotic file system limits Sony crafted.

I want to see a true missile dropkick. I only use downloaded edits so I haven't ever looked through the move lists, but I can't recall ever seeing it. The dropkick in the game is what I would call a "Front Dropkick". To me a missile dropkick has the attacker coming at the target almost horizontally, rather than with their back to the mat. I hope I explained that alright. For example the dropkick Will Ospreay did to Hiromu Takahashi at WK that unfortunately noticeably didn't look like it hit but was sold.

If we don't get an official one, there's already a springboard side missile dropkick(and a running dive variation to the outside) that should be incredibly easy to transfer to the top rope.

I’m with you on this, think No Mercy and the AKI games always had it right. Booker T did a good one...

Don't get me wrong, I like the front missile dropkick and find a good deal of use for it, but the side version should be in, also.

I'm dying for a middle rope elbow drop ala Austin and bret hart. I know someone made it with mods and it was fantastic

I agree that a good side missile dropkick needs in from a general wrestling perspective despite the fact that the front one is used more commonly in Japan.
The dropkick to the knee just doesn't do it much justice.

All this sounds great and I hope that DDT DLC will pop up as well.

what exactly is gonna be possible with the parts creator? I haven't dived into any of the current parts being made possible via mods, but are things like robes, Suzuki head towels, or body hair possible?

Yes, although robes don't look very good due to the separation into three different pieces (chest, waist, thigh).

Body hair is more than doable, just make sure to make it mostly transparent like the chest hair part already in the game. Towels are also pretty doable.
Robes not so much, since sprites are segmented and they'll kinda look wonky since calf parts are perfectly symmetrical, rather than mirrored from left to right. If you can look past that, though, it should be possible.

What about something like waist pieces that extend past the waist? Like a super stiff robe that goes to the knee?
