Me every time Nintendo direct announces re-releases of old games and more super smash brothers characters instead of news about the next Metroid Prime game or MOTHER localization, Oh you are just going to be doing this all the time then?

Considering it is Abdullah Kobayashi, the feeling is palpable.

Trying to play games on a disc-based system again after spending so long with cartridge consoles is showing me how much I haven't missed loading screens.

Nice of Microsoft to release a mini fridge that doubles as a GameCube stand.

Today (November 17) marks the 20th anniversary of WWF No Mercy's release. Kinda hard to believe it's been that long already.

Wow 👏
20 years? That is insane!
I actually remember the day I bought the game really well. It was Wednesday, November 22nd.
I randomly went to the mall to get a few DVD's. Then I stopped at EB Games. Even though I had been really looking forward to Smackdown 2, I impulse bought No Mercy at the same time. For some reason I didn't know it was coming but I loved the AKI engine from playing WCW Revenge. I took No Mercy home and was blown away. Not only is it one of my favorite wrestling games ever, and a crucial step on my journey to Fire Pro, but it was also really useful that Fall since Smackdown 2 was a huge disappointment to me!! 🤦♂️
(I think my first match is still loading in that game...)

I asked for it for Christmas that year, along with a Nintendo 64 so I could actually play it. I was a late adopter because I'd opted for a Saturn back in 1996, which could be considered something of a mistake in hindsight but I also didn't regret it at the time.
I'd become a fan of the AKI games after playing them at a friend's house and the magazine review I had read in the November issue of whatever I was subscribing to at the time (Next Generation, I think) made me want it.
It may have been the only N64 game I owned for most of 2001 but I didn't get tired of it.
...and I probably should have given this its own thread because it's momentous enough for it. Oh well.

This is an immensely nerdy thought but, walking across town has made me appreciate what kind of shape beat-em-up characters have to be in to do that while also fighting hundreds of enemies.

In your defense, no one left full turkey platters out lying on the street for you to regenerate your HP.

No, but I did find a pizza box that still had most of a pizza in it lying on top of a mailbox once. Seriously.

No, but I did find a pizza box that still had most of a pizza in it lying on top of a mailbox once. Seriously. But you didn’t have to actually BREAK the mailbox with, say, a pipe or spinning lariat to get the pizza, it was simply on TOP of the mailbox?! What a strange place you live in. On that note, would your mayor look legit if he wore green pants with one brown leather suspender and no shirt?

It would certainly turn a few heads.

Hatless Mario sprites found in the ROM of an official test cartridge that Nintendo customer service used to use in the original Game Boy days. Not only did Mario used to be bald, he had a skullet.
