Lately, the game crashes when I edit an edits appearance and exit from the Appearance Edit submenu. The screen stays black and the loading sign is stuck forever. When I move the mouse I can still hear the menu movement noises, so something weird is going on. Not using any mods. Anyone else been having this? It's honestly kind of ruined the game for me.

Is really no one else experiencing this? It's basically ruined the game for me and I don't know what to do about it. Gone back to playing KoC2 and Fire Pro Returns in the meantime.

If you're not packing mods the only suggestion would just be to try verifying integrity of game files.
That or if you have too many edits or are trying to work on a modded edit, etc.

I have less than a 1000 edits, so I don't think that's it. And it happens basically anytime I try to edit anyone, even with fresh edits. Already re-installed the game and no change.

You could try making a copy of your save, then deleting... iono, maybe 100 edits, then try to edit one, delete another 100 if it still crashes, and repeat. If you get nowhere, then at least you've ruled that out

I notice crashes occur for me more often in edit mode when my screen resolution is higher.
I've gotten the same "black screen + loading message" a few times before. I don't think it's ever happened to me when I have the lowest resolution possible...which is really hard for me to use when editing appearances!

How do I delete my entire safe? I tried deleting the folder, but it's simply restored immediately when I boot up the game. I tried using Freems save tool, but it gives an error message (guess it's not up to date with the latest version of the game?). Not looking forward to deleting hundreds of edits by hand.

Tried this, didn't really help. Still crashes about everytime I leave the appearance edit. I am using the Steam version, by the way.

You may have steam cloud save support on. You'll have to turn that off to alter your save file

Deleted my whole save and every single edit I downloaded. The crashing seems to be slightly less frequent now, but still happens. Guess I'll just have to wait for the next version update and hope things get better.
