I'll throw them the money if they keep supporting and adding on to this. That seems like a better value than buying a yearly Wrestling title Yep, this is what I had been saying for a decade before World was ever even a thought. You're not just buying a DLC, you're supporting the exisstence of the IP in the long run. People complain it's nickel and diming but I see it as prolonging the lifespan of the one wrestling game I will still be happy playing years from now. [/quoteexiss Agree with this. Its clear the dlc is so expensive because barely anyone buys it and it costs them alot to get the stuff produced. With that said im definitely excited for this unexpected dlc but I'm already certain im going to be pissed off with it. They have half assed the other dlcs and i expect this to be the same. They are still getting my money.

I think if you're a PS4 player, or a vanilla PC player, there is some cool stuff in the DLC. If you use mods (which I totally get is a small percentage of the overall player base), you'd essentially be paying for stuff you can already do for free- so that $20 price tag is a little steep in my opinion.
For me personally, the new arenas are intriguing- if they're different enough from whats already in the game I'll probably bite the bullet and get it. If it greys out workshop edits I'll be irritated, but I'll also probably get it. If neither of those things are true, I'll likely hold off and wait for a sale (or to see how the features actually work).

lol, I always skip entrances.
If you don't like it, don't buy it. It's that simple... but yeah it does feel like a rip off considering Fire Pro Returns had group logos and more arenas. That being said, the only thing I'm sour about is that they teased a move editor tool and now we get something I have pretty much no use for. They are definitely draining their "Obsessively micro-manage every single detail of their edits"-fanbase for all the money they can get.

A someone that skips entrances, unless the new arenas are super cool and/or way different from what we already have I’ll probably pass or wait for a cheap sale.

All I recall is an interview where they said it was something they ideally would like to do. That's hardly a tease.

This is...interesting. I think.
If anything, this will prompt me to actually think up some themes for my edits to go with the elaborate entrances that are possible with this DLC.
...
..Now that I think about it, since this is DLC is focus primarily on entrances, will that mean we'll get some more generic entrance themes to go along with them as well?

When did they tease a move editor? All I recall is an interview where they said it was something they ideally would like to do. That's hardly a tease. When Matsumoto tweeted in Japanese that "technique and parts crafting should be coming within the year; we have other DLC planned too; Firepro isn't dead!" sometime in August-ish, I think. Shortly after the Stardom DLC announcement. It's been explicitly said to be happening, that it's being worked on, etc. We just don't have a date yet, and with the entrance editor thing being a thing, I imagine it'll end up with a price tag of some kind. which I get, really, but just find mildly disappointing.

I cannot wrap my head around people complaining about the price here. It's twenty fucking dollars. That's literally the price of a sandwich and fries where I live. Twenty dollars to support a tiny game development team who is giving us content for a game you've literally spent hundreds if not thousands of hours playing. A team that is clearly strapped for cash, that apparently lost money in the development of the game in the first place, and is still trying hard to actually listen to the fans and provide more and more content for a SUPER niche and tiny community of gamers. This isn't like EA or Activision. How entitled can you be? Moreover, if $20 is really going to make or break you, find a new job or go back to school or something. It's honestly ridiculous to complain about this in 2019 when you have the biggest Triple A studios nickel-and-diming for every single purchase.
Think about how much enjoyment you've gotten out of Fire Pro, and then realize there's some team of guys in Japan slaving away over this to make you all enjoy the game. It's not like they are some high-rolling millionaires either. I don't even consider myself a capitalist, but I have absolutely no problem paying a small business for creating content I genuinely enjoy and engage in. I will 100% support them as it is a direct and transactional relationship, literally the entire basis of a capitalist structure. Stop complaining.

20 bucks is, in the larger scheme of things, not that much money. But it is pretty pricey for a DLC- especially one thats as niche as this one is. Its weird to me to not see that, or understand people to be annoyed when they charge for features that were originally talked about being delivered in EA. You think its worth it- awesome. But getting pissed at people that see it as steep and taking shots at them is not really productive and just asking for a fight.
I'll likely buy the DLC, but I can totally understand people that might avoid it, or wait for it to come down in price.

I haven't bought a WWE 2K game in 3 years and am not getting this years game. I'll gladly give them price of a new game to continue supporting fire pro.

It just reeks of entitlement and a complete misunderstanding of how the gaming industry works. There are people on the other end of this that are basically working on this as a labor of love. We owe it to them for keeping this game alive in the first place. 9/10 replies to Matsumoto's tweet are "WTF WHY ISN'T THIS IN SEASON PASS" or "OMG $20 WTF". It should be embarrassing for us as a community that that is our immediate reply to getting more content. We're lucky this game even exists, let alone the fact that it's being updated with DLC and patches semi-regularly. I understand that people have some weird scale where they are judging if/when a DLC stacks up to the price they see, but when you take everything into context, complaining about the price here is just flat out dumb.
