Hi please can someone help me. I've started a promotion but using real names and downloading as I'm going. How do I import new wrestlers into my promotion? I've clicked on add wrestler to data but they don't load into the game am I doing something wrong? I've noticed you can only start with 6 wrestlers in promotion is that right? If so I even tried a new game and put my custom brand into the mix but it still doesn't add the wrestler when loading thanks for the help

Alright, so I spent a bit typing up a more detailed breakdown, but then I deleted it all accidentally because that's just how life is sometimes. So instead of meandering around and telling you how the game intends for you to set up Fire Promoter, I'll just address your questions specifically.
You cannot directly import new wrestlers into your company. You can add them to the data, but they will not show up in your company, specifically. They will show up as free agents and, even then, may only show up after successfully Scouting them. Which can take a long time and you can never be assured that you'll find the exact person you're scouting for.
Yes. Because of how the mode is intended to be played and what the mode actually *is*, you only start with six wrestlers. There's a specific button combination that allows you to start with more money, but I think that was there for playtesting purposes and if memory serves, it bugs some things out. I might be wrong about that.
Regardless, the game intends for you to start as the lowest ranked, most pitiful underdog indy company ever and to fight your way up through the ranks until you're the biggest, best company in the world. It's a tycoon game more than a booking sim so it doesn't work well for simulating...any existing wrestling company at all, really. It expects you to start as an unknown company and rise to prominence, getting new and bigger stars as you play. You're not meant to start with Lesnar, Okada, and Cody. You're meant to hire them later on. That's why there's the six wrestler limit imposed.
It wants you to start with these six wrestlers you personally scouted out and formed a wrestling company around. One of them will always start with B popularity in your region, two will have C popularity, and three will have D popularity. And for some reason, it's always face-dominated. You'll always start with a B-popularity face, a C-popularity face, and a D-popularity face. Your top heel will be C-popularity and the other two heels will be D-popularity. It's not my booking style, personally, but, hey, that's how the game sets you up. And they will all, without fail, start with your company's wrestling style rather than whatever style they would actually favor.
So here's the takeaway.
You're not seeing the new wrestlers you add because they have to be Scouted first. They're in the data, they're out there, but they won't show up until you or one of the AI companies Scouts them through the course of play. If you add them as free agents while setting up the game, they might show up or they might not. Pretty sure the algorithm that chooses who appears and who doesn't at start up is just RNG. I don't think there's a way to weight it such that certain people will be more likely to show up in the free agent pool. Aside from just having multiples of that particular edit floating around in the data, I guess.
Hope this helps you out!
