I love watching Volk Han, even now with the pervasiveness of submission based martial arts, he just brings that don’t fuck with this dude, Spetsnaz aspect to ring with him. I loved the quick Dagestan Lezginka demo at the end of that video, very Cossack-ish, crazy combat dude that still rocks the traditional dance!
Brody was such a once in a lifetime talent and character, it’s cool to watch the highlights, what a crazy dude, and that shit he did in the crowds will NEVER happen again! Nice post!

Volk Han was just so fluid in all his motions. Some of my favorite bouts with him is when he worked with kiyoshi Tamura (who is really underrated as well).
I always liked Brody, he was just as you said, a once in a lifetime talent. The man was both feared and respected. I recently watched the documentary series on Viceland, Darkside of the ring and one episode covers his career and subsequent death. I won't lie, I was a bit teary eyed by the end of it.

The wrestler - Katsuyori Shibata (... and the headbutt that was heard around the world) If you don´t know what I mean with the headbutt that was heard around the world... On April 9 at Sakura Genesis 2017 in his match against Okada, Shibata collapsed backstage after his bout and was rushed to a hospital. It was discovered that he had a subdural hematoma as a result of using a headbutt repeatedly as his signature move. Combined with severe dehydration, caused Shibata to also experience some paralysis on the right side of his body. It was believed that Shibata would never be cleared to wrestle again.

Shibata made an appearance at the 2017 G1 Climax finals, with tears in his eyes only saying "I am still alive! That is all."
Then this happend at the 2019 G1 Climax...
