I just had a guy ask me out of what felt like nowhere if I like hockey. I forgot for a minute I was wearing a team sweater and so it made me think of this song. Granted, I've been thinking about sharing it for a while anyway.

Out of all the bands I discovered this past year, Austrian rockers Mother's Cake has got to be the best. They have a few previous albums as well, but Cyberfunk has been the soundtrack of the last couple months of my life. An awesome, funky mix of sounds influenced by a wide array of bands including Wolfmother, Royal Blood, Led Zeppelin, RHCP, Yes, The Beatles and more. It's a special album, incredibly varied and catchy as hell, and my pick for 2020's album of the year. |
