New album out by Drab Majesty for those that are interested. It's pretty darn good. :)
I saw them LIVE last summer in Montreal. It was a small/intimate venue so I got to talk with Mona D for a good 20 min. Very cool guy, and an amazing band. ibb.co/Tqf5k2XHere's a few albums I've been into lately from the Post-Punk / Darkwave genre: TR/ST - The Destroyer Part 1 The Chamelions - Script of the Bridge Replicant - A Taste of Midnight Echoberyl - Apparitions Holygram - Modern Cult White Lies - Big TV VR Sex (Deb Demure side project) - Human Traffic Jam Boy Harsher - Careful Traitrs - Butcher's Coin Rendez Vous - Superior State

Can’t believe it’s been ten years since Keith Edward Elam, better known as the slick, unique monotone style MC, Guru of Gang Starr passed away. I’ve been a huge fan of the duo of Guru and DJ Premier (GOAT of DJs) for as long as I can remember. Primo is still collaborating with various MCs and pop people which is great, but Gang Starr will always hold a special place for me with Primo’s GRIMEY beats and amazing sampling and Guru’s mastery on the mic. The guy had such a unique style, and his lyrics were incredible. Great political stuff, lots of call outs to pop style rappers, and some amazing battle stuff (“like my leather, you’re butter soft”, always loved that line!), and he even did the VO for Eight Ball, a character in GTA3! I like a variety of music, but these guys are on top of the hip hop heap for me. Check these out if you need to expand your music collection with some golden age shit!

I just really love this song because of the classic Dusty promo in the beginning, and footage throughout the video. :)
A friend of mine set the audio for this next video, so I'm a bit biased, but it the song is still great. Whish I had a pool to skate in, or a skateboard at all for that matter. :)
And this new Thundercat jam is just all kinds of awesome :)

When I saw the thumbnail for that Thundercat song I expected something totally different haha. Smoooooth jam, I must say btw I just finished listening to the new Empathy Test album. Any fan of synth-pop with clean, beautiful melodies should give this one a try. This and The New Division's album are my favorites of the genre for 2020 so far.
