[CUSTOM EDIT PARTS] Oni's Parts Unknown Thread

I may have to steal... I mean borrow... this concept for my fantasy league, ABCW. I have a stable of wrestlers called the Old School that like to spoof legendary gimmicks. There are like 4 of them but they play about 20 characters. I already have La Femme Nikita Koloff (Nikita in a skirt) and the Legion of Demolition (Demolition Smoosh and... I honestly forget what I called the Hawk/Animal parody but I'm sure it was some lame animal name; they've been wearing LOD shoulder pads and Demolition face paint but were made before I did the Demo entrance attire). AXana and SMASHley would certainly fit the profile. Or I could let Dusty Caminos play a Latin version (Aplastar or Hacha). I always get a kick out of seeing someone like Ax or Smash doing the Lucha shuffle stance.

Added a few costume files as mentioned in JP's custom thread and added the note about his additional Scurll parts. As noted in the other thread, "my" costume files no doubt include others' work. No infringement is intended, I'm just trying to save people some effort of combining custom parts with some of the workshop costumes I like best. If anyone is offended, I'll be glad to remove them. If anyone would like someone exported to cos files, let me know. I did not cover all my custom parts since many of them don't have more than 4 costumes or have entrance attire, which were the criteria I used to decide who to export. I also didn't include my fantasy league, only "real wrestling" (and some GLOW).

...haven't really been thinking of anything much to request. Kind of sort of throwing around some idea's in the ol' noggin and here's what I have in mind for 1 request - That's if you're up to it.

some buckles, zipper and line designs for Tripp style pants that can be colorized.







I used to own a pair similar to the red line design ones in the last pic.

I made some rocker pants for an edit using the studs Oni made for Demolition entrance gear, yukinoark's Kane straps and studs, and Justinp's cargo pockets. Can't remember exactly but it looked fairly similar to that 2nd pic.

Oh, how about a chain for JYD and Hercules? I'm trying to only request 80s stuff from you, Oni.

Ok, tips for requests. Some of you already do this but here's what tends to get my attention:

1) Pictures. Saying "please make Buck Robley's shirt" is fine; posting an actual picture of the "nobody calls me yellow" shirt is much better.

2) Purpose. Is it entrance attire? Don't get me wrong, I'll try to make it fully functional, but yeah, there's a certain liberty I can take if it's only showing up in the entrance.

3) Size. Oni is lazy. Really really lazy. The number of parts that will get full S/M/L/D/F/Bear/Bodybuilder treatment are rare. So it's helpful if you tell me "I need a medium chest piece" rather than "can you make a shirt?" Same with the multi body part pieces, "I need pants" is fine, but I'll take more interest if you said something like "I need a logo that stretches over the thigh and shin but I'd settle for one piece with it riding as low on the thigh as possible." Not only does that maybe give me an out to only do the thigh piece, but I definitely know I'm not doing the waist part, just the thigh and shin at worst.

4) Modifications. Talent borrows; genius steals. You'll get better responses from me if you can tie it to existing Firepro pieces. Something like "could you add a big dot to the center of Knee pad A" always sounds more appealing that "Hey can you make dotted knee pads?" The more you can convince me I'm just modding and not drawing, the less intimidating it seems. Quirks of being a parts maker who can't really draw. I'll also be glad to tweak other people's work, but only if they don't mind. I do that a lot behind the scenes, not because I think my stuff is better but just because it makes it more consistent with my parts.

5) Bribes. Oni is all about the quid pro quo. Whether it's mods, music, arenas, rings, edits, research, cash, major credit cards, I can't be bought - but I can be rented. :) Even if it's just people who have posted things I found interesting enough to break up a dull day at work, if I'm reading your posts or using your stuff, I'm more likely to consider your request. This is probably the only reason I added highlights. If SDSS didn't make cool custom edit parts...

6) Challenge, lack of. I like easy. The simpler the design, the more likely I'll do it. Please note there are cheats. Super Dragon was fairly simple given how many angles are out there. Other than separating the "visor" part, he was largely just cut and paste. Heads in general are easier than limbs, or maybe I've just gotten slightly better at them. I'll do other parts, but they seem more manageable.

7) No WWE. Seriously, I hate them. I haven't watched them since they bought WCW. I was a WWF/WWE fan during the Monday night wars, so I'm not mourning WCW or anything. But competition is good and Vince not only killed my beloved territories, he killed the last true American competition. Kudos to him for winning but that ended the era for me, and nearly put me out of wrestling for good. I credit AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Christopher Daniels for pulling me back in just enough ~2006 to stay into Firepro, and World for pulling me back into wrestling, even if it's only NJPW. So just lie to me. Tell me you need something for your "original" edit "Roma Rains" or whatever. I probably won't know.

I don't have Psycho Clown, but I have early LOD, Pitbulls, JYD, Demolition, and a few others all using that collar. ProWresBDSM.)
