Sakura Pro - 10/7/2022 Card!

After a long, grueling week Sakura Pro officials have finally caught up with Hana Brightly who is resting comfortably in her home. Well, as comfortable as it can be with an injured wrist. The severity of the injury is unclear, but it's been reported that it shouldn’t keep her out of action. If a certain dentist can wrestle championship matches with a broken wrist, then Hana can certainly suck it up and endure whatever pain she’s suffering through. Right?......right? Her lift wrist is heavily wrapped, but luckily she’s a normal, right-handed person.

Hana Brightly: Nakajima-sam….actually, no. I’ve watched enough anime in my lifetime and I’m not going to give you the ‘proper’ respect.

She immediately regrets her attempted ‘air quotes,’ wincing before she pulls her wrist away and rests it against the arm of her vibrantly pink sofa. Oh yeah, she’s wearing an official Sakura Pro t-shirt that reads “HOUSE OF NAKAJIMA,” but over the text is a giant red “X.” Smooth Hana, real smooth.

Hana Brightly: You’re going to be ‘Naka,’ to me, just ‘Naka’ because it sounds funny, I like to amuse myself and I just know it ticks you off. Heheh.

It’s kind of hard to take her seriously. Hana isn’t naturally smug and it secretly pains her to insult someone. Even someone as dastardly and as evil as Nakajima-sama. Nevertheless, she’s doing her best to exude a ‘badass’ aura. Little does she know that in an alternate universe, she has Necrolord to help her. Unfortunately such doesn’t exist here.

Hana Brightly: Out of the kindness of my heart, I accepted an invitation to Sakura Pro. It has a good reputation and I have friends who have worked there. For instance? Dragon Rosa holds nothing but praise for the company. Who was I to deny such a rave review with flying colors? So I packed my bags and headed to Japan. ‘Who was I going to wrestle?’ I thought. ‘I hope I don’t disappoint the fans,’ I worried.

Sighing, Hana’s lips purse into a straight thin line.

Hana Brightly: I know. Hindsight is 20/20, I shouldn’t have been such a naive fool. After all the years I spent in this business, you’d think I’d see a trap when I see one. Naka and I wrestled an instant classic just the week before. We tore the house down, heck! She even did the Rainbow Bridge. Terrible form, mind you, but not just anyone can do it like me. Heheh.

There Hana goes again, doing her best to be smug. Dumb girl. She even pulls at her t-shirt, showing off the work she did by putting red tape over the House of Nakajima logo.

Hana Brightly: I stupidly thought there was a level of respect between us. I was so wrong. Instead of Kageka Nagato and I putting on a banger for a match, I was met with the darn Putty Patrol! The House of Naka swarmed. Try as I might, I couldn’t gain my footing. Punch after punch. Kick after kick. Hold after hold. I couldn’t tell which member of The House was doing what, but I couldn’t ignore that laugh.

Pain and anguish surfaces as Hana’s face as she clutches her wrist towards her heart. Needless to say, it was a traumatizing experience.

Hana Brightly: Naka’s asinine laugh ringed through, and it only got louder and louder the longer the beating went. What did I do to deserve this? Wrestle better? I had never witnessed such a sore loser in my life. However, I can’t just sit here. I can’t just stay at home, no, no, no. Despite my physical condition, I can still wrestle. Naka, you haven’t seen the last of me because I’m issuing the house a challenge!

Hana Brightly: I want any member from your house of idiots! ONE-ON-ONE! And when I win? I want you, you spoiled brat. Heck, I’ll endure an entire gauntlet if it means I can slap the taste of your mouth. Rainbow Bridges, Kawinesses, Brightly Busters, you name it! Broken wrist and all, I’m going to burn the house down!

Unfortunately she pointed at the screen a little too hard and took her wrist back. Poor Hana. Despite this, she tries to mock Nakajima-sama’s laugh. It doesn’t quite work, but she thinks it does and that’s all that matters.

Hana Brightly: And this time? I’ll be the last one laughing!
