Hey everyone, I've been at Fire Pro since Returns but I've recently been working on a new company that has a lot of similarities in style, ideally, to Michinoku Pro or Dragon Gate. The problem is, I'm not entirely sure how to implement that within the game? Are there any general recommendations for moves/logic/etc. that I should try to keep standard across all edits to get close to this style? Thanks for the help!

I can't really speak directly about lucharesu style, but I do a lot of lucha stuff and some things I lean heavily on are: - lots of early-match rollups and la magistrals - lucha and panther fight style for the good old backflip reversal when whipped into a corner - an absolute butt-ton of backswitches, like every single person has backswitch as their small back grapple counter, and often in other places too - a rather high rate of irish whips, like 25% to 30% in most damage phases, and higher-than-normal duck-and-dodge/leapfrog/etc for those rollicking rope-running routines - a fair bit of guys with the technical crit ability to win with shocking surprise roll-ups - very low do-nothing and follow-out-of-ring rates for when the opponent is outside, and of course a very high chance of outside dives - in general, i go a bit lower than standard on defense parameters for luchas and have them live and die by their spirit instead - and lastly, with luchas I give them all quite a few ways to end the match instead of funneling towards a small set of finishers. for american style guys i'd generally go for like 4 to 6 ways they can finish a match, but with luchas i give them like 8 to 10.

Lucharesu is a blending of lucha libre and puroresu ("Strong Style") attack elements. You'll often see cradles and other flash pins, while also having some heavy strike based sequences thrown in. It's not uncommon for there to be a "flippy" sequence followed up by an Irish Whip sequence ending on a big Elbow, Knee, or Lariat Strike. You'll want to include these somewhere, but I suggest not overdoing it. You could also include some bigger suplexes, such as the Dragon or Tiger Suplex.

In addition to what Dawnbr3ak3r and amsterdan said, Don't be afraid to crank the HAMMER THROW all the way up in small damage logic, and crank up the duck / dodge too. Use equal parts on your 2 weaker rebounds and running moves to mix it up. Save your big damage run and rebound for the large damage section. These matches start with lots of running about bouncing around, and then will slow down a bit into the strong style stuff.
