Yes, hello there. Hi. I'm Will, one of the organizers of the next Critical Club Presents supershows alongside Maikeru and xemyrlebeau. What is this, you ask? Why it's the organization thread for the upcoming community supershow a la the successful Critical Edge show a few weeks back. Things will generally speaking, be running very similarly. There's a few changes which will be outlined below in a very convenient and striking red, bold font. Unfortunately I haven't received any word from fellow organizers on details such as, say, stream times, but, well, we're already behind and at the very least a sign-up thread should be up and running interest and get the ball rolling on hopefully getting another show under our belts.
Credit to Twist for the outlines from the original Critical Club Presents thread.
OVERVIEW:
So basically, the premise is simple. There will be 10 total matches, with 8 singles matches and 2 tag matches—this may change to 9 singles matches and 1 tag match depending upon sign-ups. To encourage more varied sign-ups, seeing tag matches consisting of edits made my three or four separate community members would be awesome. In order to try and ensure quality showcases of the community, we are allowing YOU to choose your opponent edits to ensure the highest quality sims. For example, if I wanted to sign up, I would put one of my own edits (BINGY) vs Orochi Geese, an OrochiGeese edit. There are, of course, guidelines to this to make sure it runs smoothly, and they go as follows:
When signing up a match with multiple edit creators, please make sure to have the consent of all edit creators before signing up their edits. Also, since the point of this endeavour is to highlight the community at large, we ask that you not sign up two slots for yourself/request a match between two of your own edits. We want matches consisting of two separate edit makers showing off their edits.
Free Agents:
For those who do not want to sign up specific matches, but instead would like to sign up individual edits, we also have a spot for you. There will be 6 free agent spots where you can sign up an edit. Those 6 will be randomly paired up with each other for 3 singles matches on the card. Depending on sign-ups we will try to generally avoid re-using people's free agent edits/edits from the same people in the Free Agents spots if there's people who previously haven't appeared on a card. There are some basic rules for the edits to ensure the quality and fairness of these matches, and they are as follows:
1. 180 Point Limit
2. No Guts, Hardbody, Reborn. If your edit has any of these skills, please upload a different version without these skills.
3. No random pinfalls in Near-Death.
4. Make it interesting. That is super broad, yes, but your edit ought to be fun to watch.
Recording:
We will be figuring out who will be recording matches in the near future, but if you would like to record your match yourself that's more than fine.
Obviously there are both pros and cons to recording your own matches: If you're recording yourself, you have the responsibility of getting the match in on a timely fashion and the video needs to be high quality (if you want to do some fun/weird shit with post-production go nuts but please keep in mind the video still needs to be high-quality and stream compression could do a number on it so, you know, don't send a cellphone quality video for the lulz.) You also have complete control over things like mods, arena textures, camera cuts, production, etc. if you choose to record the video yourself. Please keep the length of videos between roughly 3-12 minutes (if you go, say, 2:45 or 13:00 it's not gonna kill us, but don't submit a 45 second video or 45 minute video like a bum, be consider), accounting for any pre-post match shenanigans or production you may include. Shouldn't have to include this, but don't include any deliberately inflammatory or generally frowned upon things in your videos like hate speech, any kind of phobia, active trolling of other board members, etc., etc. Basically don't be a dick—if it seems in bad taste it probably is and like it would offend someone it probably will. So don't do it.
On the other hand, if you don't want to record the match yourself, you can just ensure you meet the other requirements and sit back and relax after your spot is confirmed.
KP and Josh will once again provide commentary for the show, so PLEASE GET YOUR MATCH IN ON TIME SO THEY MAY RECORD OVER IT. If you are recording your own match, please note whether or not you're including your own commentary so Josh and KP know not to speak over it.
New for this round: MANDATORY EDIT INFORMATION.
So as to give KP and Josh more material work with, and to invest the audience in edits, we ask that you please provide some basic information on your edits. Even a short paragraph is enough—details of their wrestling style, their home promotion (if any), birthplace, characteristics, notable feuds or titles, etc. Just anything that helps flesh out the character. FINISHER/SIGNATURES (sequences if there are any specific ones prio'd would be rad too) are mandatory to be included. If you don't include this as you sign up for both edits involved in a match, or as a free agent slot, your spot will not be secured.

EXAMPLE SIGN-UP POST:
Singles Match: Edit A (Will) vs. Edit B (Takuan)
Edit A is a hard-hitting party dude from Party Town, USA. He loves to hit dudes in the face with palm strikes and well-placed elbows ALMOST AS MUCH AS HE LIKES TO PARTY. He wrestles in THIS REALLY COOL PROMOTION (maybe include a link here to streams, or a thread), is a former 3-Time PARTY ALL NIGHT CHAMPION.
Finisher:
Party Bomb (Pop-Up Powerbomb)
Signatures/Sequences:
What a Maneuver! (Rolling Elbow)
Party Foul (Uraken)
Jaeger Bomb (Green Mist)
Jaeger Bomb into Superman Punch
Partyplex (Straight Jacket German)
Edit B is a very serious man who does not like parties. HE HATES THEM. In fact, when he isn't wrestling, he goes round children's parties and pops balloons for fun because he's a deplorable, downright disgusting human being. You can tell he's disgusting because he has a gross moustache. Edit B is from the most boring city in the world, Madison, Wisconsin. He wrestles a World of Sport-influenced style peppered with rough, heelish moves.
Finisher: No Fun For You (Taichi Style Low Blow)
Signatures:
NO FUN FOR YOU II (La Esparada)
Finger Snap
Lungblower/Backcracker

Other misc. things.:
Happy to hear any suggestions for show names.
We are happy to receive any and all help with logos, design work, etc. If you can provide a green-screen'd cutout of your edits for Loading Screens that would be great, but it is not 100% necessary to sign up and secure a spot. When a logo and show name is decided upon you'll see this post and the thread title updated with the relevant details. Things such as the show logo, and arena/ring texture will be up in the thread shortly after a name is decided upon if you would like to use those assets for your own recorded matches.
Though not at all necessary, we would like to further spotlight people's work outside of these shows, so if you have any upcoming dates for e-fed streams (or even better, advertising for said shows), or you can provide short, concise write-ups of the recent goings-on storyline/results-wise of your e-fed that would be incredible. Depending on how things go and if there is time this may see a few minutes for things to be plugged by the commentators. Again, by no means a mandatory thing to do, but would be nice to see people's e-feds highlighted. We will include people's stream details (date, show name, channel name, for example) in the show notes if they provide them.
STREAM DETAILS:
The stream date/time was a big point of contention last time around so we will be setting a time that will try to accommodate everyone's schedules and work it out to announce the stream date/time with plenty of advance word when it is locked down so as to avoid stepping on any other stream's toes. We will also be running the stream through an "OFFICIAL" Critical Club Presents Twitch channel, rather than an individual's Twitch channel, regardless of who ends up streaming the show. This is just for the sake of consistency, and hopefully this will be adapted moving forward. When the channel is created the details will be edited into the post here. The stream date and time will also be edited into the post here and announced accordingly in a separate post.
Cheers, and looking forward to everyone's edits, and matches. :)
