Without going into detail, about to give my notice at the job at which I've worked for far, far too many years for far, far too little pay. The idea of it terrifies me, as I do not believe I have much of a shot at anything I want to do at this point, thanks to sinking too many years into idiocy of that job but it must be done, elsewise, I will lose my will to live. Good luck, friend. Job stuff and money stuff, and the uncertainty with both, is always scary. Stay calm and stay confident, bro. I was fortunate that I was basically one step away from my breaking point at my now-former job when I secretly applied somewhere else. Luckily, the final straw came 1 day after the 'somewhere else' place said "you're hired". Then it was very easy at the now-former job to take a terrible work event (like the 100th or 200th stupid work event to happen there) and just go and get my stuff and walk out, literally.

I'm rooting for you and wishing you the best here. I'm sure it was a difficult decision to do this but it sounds like you made the right choice because the stakes were higher than the job. Use that current adrenaline to pour all you have into finding something new and better. I really hope that you find something better. Don't doubt yourself though. You can leave that type of "success resistance/friction" to the world as that's what it does best. Don't help it along in holding you back. Fight it. You gotta be your own advocate and motivator and that means not listening to those doubts in your mind cause they aren't helping you unless they are actually suggesting ways to overcome the obstacles. Doubt almost never does though, its rarely constructive. But if there's something you want to do & feel you missed your shot, there's still education opportunities. Hell, look at a guy like Randy Couture or pro wrestlers who get in on the "later" side (relative to those who start younger, not those who stay too long, LOL). Even physical professions see people succeed who want it more.

Best of luck, buddy. I hate to pry but I'll pry nonetheless; 'I do not believe I have much of a shot at anything I want to do at this point', what do you want to do? I'm only interested because I've never ever known what I want to do and can't figure out if I have some dormant talent waiting to be unleashed or if I'm just a procrastinator :) But you mentioned 'anything you want to do' which I read as 'I know what I'd like to do but can't because of 'X''. I've a wife, kid, a bad neck and I'm 39 years old so those are my reasons (valid or not) for not being able to pursue a career as a wrestler, but what do you want to do (if you know)? In any case, I wish you all the best in this next stage.

Appreciate the kind words, guys. I'm more at a crossroad than anything else(just waiting for Robert Johnson), and am trying to figure out what I can get into by now. Mainly, I want to avoid any more low pay unskilled menial labor at all costs, but we'll see how that goes. Getting out of the job I've been at, I can hopefully get a better outlook and go from there. But that's the big challenge of them all, isn't it?

First world problems. When your browser updates and all your extensions are unsupported.
EDIT: Okay, so apparently it's a Firefox problem that the last update shut down everyone's extensions and they are aware of the problem and are working on a fix. So currently no adblock. I've been watching youtube for the first time ever without adblock and I don't know how people can do it. Ads randomly interjected throughout youtube videos is enraging. I gave up on watching TV mainly just because of the endless ad breaks. Before torrents I used to wait for an entire season of a show to hit DVD and then buy it just so I wouldn't have to deal with ads.
I am longing for the day when the eventual alternative to youtube comes out, but of course I know they'll eventually get bought out and become exactly like youtube.

I had to switch to Chrome like five years back and I still miss Firefox!!!!!
I can't remember the full reason I switched but it was either due to some update making it unstable for me or because Firefox was a resources hog in a way that Chrome (at least back then) wasn't in comparison.
But I hate how Chrome doesn't let me customize the overall navigation menu (especially at the top of the window) compared to the way Firefox did.
Firefox is my second favorite web browser but my favorite remains late 90's Netscape Navigator because I was just so damn happy using the internet back then and the browser got out of my way in doing so.
Remember when people used "surf the web" unironically? 😁

just rollback Firefox until it's fixed, I use Firefox as my main browser, Chrome is for when I need to find out why Firefox has stopped working and IE/Edge is for installing FF & Chrome on a new pc.

Remember when people used "surf the web" unironically? 😁 How does one do anything "ironically" anyway? Is that like a guilty pleasure? Dabbling in it while also looking down your nose at it?

Yeah, pretty much that. Like saying it mockingly but not really meaning it and mocking people who do.

Looks like my launch day PS4 Pro disk drive is starting to go. Had my Pro in rest mode downloading and when I woke it up I got a black screen. Did a power reset and noticed when it turned on, the disk drive made a weird noise. It wouldn't recognize the disk in it until I popped it out and put it back in a few times. I also read tapping on the console itself just over the drive can help it read disks as well and that did seem to work. I'll likely end up buying one of the newer CUH-7200 Pro models now and stick the old one on the TV in my living room. An overtime shift or two will cover the cost at least, and I am on call this Monday so I am actually hoping I get called in now.

Not so much a bitch as a lack of comprehension, card based games/video games (ie Gwent). Why are these things a thing, and why am I indifferent towards them? I don’t have the capacity for sorting out all of the long winded rules and I would often rather eat the deck of cards one by one than sit through twenty seconds of game rule explanations. They often look interesting, but apathy redlines for me as soon as rules start dropping. Am I broken? I feel like I’m missing out, but dayum those games angry up my fists!

Funny enough gwent was the only thing I liked in the Witcher 3. But like caravan in fallout new Vegas made no sense to me.
