Since there is a lack of an event mode like from Fire Pro of the past I’ve just done what little I can to put together my favourite idea...... Lost PPVs or fantasy “what if” cards. Introducing FMW: The Lost PPV youtu.be/4yd4Rx0mvzsFantasy booking of promotions of the past. FMW: The Lost PPV 1) Megumi Kudo vs Combat Toyoda 2) 6 Man Tag Barbed Wire Rope Deathmatch 3) Hayabusa vs Masato Tanaka (2/3 falls) 4) 6 Man Tag Barbed Wire Board Landmine Deathmatch Really wish there was an event mode where you could make an 8 match card, choose your custom ring at the start and ref. Then let the game it sim out, giving you both individual match ratings and a combined final score. Letting fans recreate events of the past or simply making their own. But alas we cannot :(

I am so legit sad this feature isnt in the game. I'm confident from a programming perspective this is easy to implement

One Night Event could just be "Book A Card" outside of Fire Promoter, so I don't doubt it. The team probably doesn't see it as being a very useful mode though; similar to S-1 before there was a lot of demand for its return.

I'd love a "One Night Card" and not have to go through Fire Promoter all the time to do it.
After all, sometimes I want an event full of wrestlers not currently in my Fire Promoter save.

Just imagine being able to sim an old WCW or WWE card seeing how different it can play out. And if they could add a little local leaderboard section that shows your last 50 events and their overall rating, or just list those with the best overall rating and give yourself a reason to try and out do your last.
One Night Event. I think I might politely tweet the idea in hopes one day it can be a thing.

Which Fire Pro had this type of mode in? I'd liked to have seen the Misson Mode expanded with the DLC, replay classic bouts like Legends of Wrestlemania.

Fpr had it though for whatever reason you couldn't use edits even though it was obviously intended. So that pretty much killed the modes usefulness to the majority of the fanbase. I believe the game would track your top ten events held. However it was a bit of a game mode in that you had to.balance a budget for either a year of events or your single night event. You could name your events as well.

The rallying cry of "Please allow us to use edits in match maker mode" was not received. Granted, there was only so much they could have done to update a PS2 game anyway! 😁 But when the Agetec re-release of the game came out (with the English translation) they changed a few small things in the game but not that.
I think Spike just didn't realize how much people would want to use their own wrestlers in it. (Which made me nervous that they were going to make the same mistake with Fire Promoter for FPW). It also didn't help that many us of had no interest in simming the defaults. Overall, I barely used the mode in over 12 years of playing FPR and know very few that regularly did.

It always came across as a really watered-down "Management of the Ring". There was a similar mode on the WonderSwan version, I never played it but I know Biohazard poured enough time in to figure out most (If not all) of the secret wrestlers. It's definitely the biggest drawback for FPR, the lack of decent modes.

i was under the impression that the fact edits wasnt allowed in the fpr mode was an accidental mistake on their part. i thought it had something to do with them running a real world contest that had to do with who could get the best results in that game mode and didnt know how to balance it if edits were included so they removed the feature at the last moment. that info may be completely wrong since its been years since i thought i heard it
