Can I change fighting styles mid-game?

I'm playing through the junior heavyweight story line, but I've become bored with the moves he can do. I made him a technician hoping to emulate Bret Hart but for whatever reason most of Bret Hart's moves are rated at last a C for my character. I think I should've made this character an American style wrestler.

Is it possible to switch fighting styles and re-assign points in the middle of the game? Or do I have to start all over?
