Had to reformat and reinstall windows and steam on my computer.
Loaded fire pro a day ago. Everything was fine. Backed up on steam cloud like normal
Loaded it tonight, noticed my game was in Japanese and none of my edits were available.
Did I lose everything? I certainly hope not. :(

Try this to get the menus back into English. Same thing happened to me when I reinstalled game.
C:\Users\YOUR ACCOUNT\AppData\LocalLow\spikechunsoft\FireProWrestlingWorld\ copy the savedata.dat file in this folder and keep it somewhere this is where your game is saved to. I have multiple backups of this file. It should have your save since you uploaded to cloud.
from the main menu, select オプション (Options)
Then 言語 (Language)
And finally select 英語 (English)
That should switch the menus to English.

If those were your edits and they weren't uploaded, your are SOL unless you backed your save to the cloud.
If those were your edits and they were uploaded, you can redownload them. Same if they were edits you subscribed to.

I think I lost everything.
Only had a handful of edits posted on the workshop.
This blows.
Any chance I could contact steam and they might have a back up on the cloud? Because the first time launched it post reinstalled everything was there. Game was in english.
Anytime post that it was in Japanese and no edits or anything....
also I noticed the SWA guys aren't appearing...
edited again: fuck i noticed the cloud syncing to the game after the last relaunch...seems like I'm fucked :(

For future reference (not that it helps right now) I always have steam cloud turned off, cause the sync can sometimes actually fuck with your save. I keep a manual backup of the save file every couple of days.
There's also a mod that will backup your save every day and keep a rolling five day backup, that is also helpful for the future.

While I didn't lose any of the real world edits I've made (they've all been uploaded to the workshop)... I did lose a fuck ton of custom edits and I don't know if I have it in me again to make these guys...ugh.

I've lost my save this weekend too! My PS4 kept booting in safe mode and when I finally got it working, I'd lost everything! I was even locked out of the US account I'd used to buy DLC, thankfully my wife was in San Francisco for work this week and called to get it unlocked for me. Their support chat seems to be region-locked.
I was pretty pissed at first, I'd been working on reorganising my rosters and adding custom music to all 1000 edits. Now I'm seeing it as a chance to build I better roster, rather than reflecting the current scene I'm making a "Best of..." roster with all my preferences. My OCD filled my roster with people I would NEVER use, but now I can have Damian Demento and Mecha Mummy!
On my count I'd lost 1000 edits (I'd tweaked a lot I'd subbed to), 52 rings, 20 refs and as well as all my time on Fighting Road, Mission and Promoter models. Probably the one thing I'm really upset about is losing my title histories, me and my friend had been challenging for an MMA title, had our own series of 10lbs of Gold, and were using the Neveropen title for crazy gimmick battle royals. Maybe I should pay for PSN+ so I can back up more often...

Learned my lesson about losing months worth of work back on Fire Pro G. |
