It's all good, Zealot! Shit happens, particularly on international days of debauchery. See all you cool cats in the chat on Tuesday.

Conor McReffer had something to do with this, I just know it.

It's kinda fitting if you take a broad perspective.
The random number generator of life got in the way 🎲

Be honest, we all know you went out and got drunk with last year's winner Ajax. :P

Going to aim for a 7:30 EDT starting time as usual for tonight.
Internet has been great since yesterday morning so hopefully we conclude March Madness tonight.
Same place as always. See you then.

Well I finally caught up and that was a very enjoyable tournament from top to bottom :)
It came as no surprise to me that June won. After she beat Bison so easily I decided to download June for sims and for a poke around in her logic and on paper she’s pretty reasonable but oh my her moveset and logic % is pretty stacked turning her into an absolute beast of an edit, which I suppose is fitting given her gimmick xD
Vic vs Silverhawk was like watching Brock vs AJ. You knew Vic was winning but it was enthralling to see just how close ‘Hawk might come. It was somewhat predictable but it was still a very entertaining match.
Thanks for putting this on once again Zealot :)

Yeah, I must admit June turned out considerably more aggressive than I ever intended her to be. I was actually curious if the rounds of the tournament prior to the finals were run using the medium-length match pacing mod or something, because she was getting to her big moves far sooner than I'm used to seeing from her in my game, and I don't really have an explanation for that. The final was a lot more in line with what I'd expect of her; a bunch of gentle boots and jabs and crossbodies early and the murderknees only come out late when things are looking grim or she's getting frustrated. (She definitely seemed frustrated by those twenty or so smacks to her ladyballs that Listalva gave her!) I'm adjusting her up right now so later today or tomorrow there should be a slightly less vicious June on the workshop; definitely dropping her kick offense from 3 to 2, and dramatically lowering the chance of following that rainmaker v-trigs and falcon arrow crush with a kamigoye, which were supposed to be startling little surprises every so often, not every-match things. I guess this is what happens when you slap an edit together in a hurry with pretty limited test simming.

Another successful March Madness comes to a close. Please take the time to check out the videos, results, awards, and final brackets up now in the first and second posts of the thread.
While I've been happy to entertain the masses with this tournament going back to 2015 on fireproclub.com (RIP) and fpwarena.com (RIP)all the way to criticalclub.com (please stay alive!), the ides of March have gotten to me. 2019 was the biggest form of the tourney I've ever done and I feel like with the results obtained and the advancement of the community since Fire Pro Wrestling World, it's a good opportunity for me to resign from doing the tournament.
Now before anybody assumes that this is due to the drama around the boards lately, I assure you that it's not. It's something I was planning for a while since the start of this year. The fact of the matter is that March Madness has grown into a thing that now takes up a significant chunk of time every year and it limits me in terms of creating my own material which is something I'm going to prioritize for sure now that I'm letting this go.
If someone is willing to pick it up for next year, you are more than welcome to use my formats and I can send you some helpful image files I use like the bracket which can be a pain. Or you can most definitely spin your own creativity on it. Either way, I'll give you my blessings from the spectator position.

Yeah, running this big a tournament for this many years takes its toll, especially since it's gotten bigger every year. Thank you so much to Zealot for making this a community standard each year 👏🏆 I remember the first year it was run and that feels like so long ago. For this community, it was like an eon ago based on all that has occurred over the past few years (and multiple boards). I'm also sorry that I didn't make any of the streams. RL has been kind of crazy recently and when I do have the time to be here, it's usually late and I usually just have "posting" and not "chatting" energy. I try to only pop on chat when I feel like I can be social. The rest of the time these days I'm basically like this: I'm the turtle, LOL. I still need to catch up on like all of the matches for this year. I know how my guys did but I haven't seen any of the sims. I'd like to watch the Finals, at the minimum, as well as the Saji second round match against Hana's edit who made it to the Finals. Hopefully someone else picks up the mantle for next year. After all, sanity is a helluva way to waste March! 😜

It's a long way out, but depending on how things look next year, I may throw my hat in there for running at least part of it. It is a year away, of course, so who knows what's gonna happen between now and then. But no doubt there will be people looking to take up the event.

Happy to see people consider it. I can't wait to sit like this watching next year. Gorilla included.
