HONOO #3 has concluded. This marks the end of the Rising tour. HONOO will now go on break once again. This time, the break will be for 1 month rather than 2 weeks. In the meantime, you may spend your XP like before (remember to record it). The primary reason for this lengthy break is the AWF. Yes, the AWF, the promotion hinted at for a very long time now. Under the strict control of Mr. Monopoly, the AWF is a renegade street fighting organization that presents itself as a legitimate boxing organization. Fueled by the money from numerous gamblers in the crowd, many assume the AWF is the front for a more seedy operation. No one is forced to stay, but no one ever leaves. The AWF will be directly linked with HONOO as an extension of the Midnight Jones/Community Chest angle but it is a very different thing indeed, anything goes. There will be two types of AWF content during the next two HONOO tours: 1. The television seriesDetailing the rise and fall of Mr. Monopoly, the men who find themselves drawn to the AWF struggle to ensure that when it falls apart, they don't go down with it. A detective investigating the crimes of Mr. Monopoly for 13 years. A charming madman that turns into a monster when they step through the curtain. A billionaire faced with the haunting defiance of the Stray Dog from Osaka. The AWF "tv series" will be 4 episodes. The aim is for each to be 30 minutes long. There will be a very high emphasis on storytelling. The first 2 episodes will air during the next HONOO tour. 2. The GauntletSince the AWF TV series leaves little room for filler, The Gauntlet has been devised as a way of further exploring the concept by running it as if it were a normal e-fed. The Gauntlet is simple. There is a certain number of matches. The competitors of each are chosen randomly. Then, the man who wins the first match proceeds to the next match, and so on until the End of the Line is reached. From there, the fighter will face a Final Boss of sorts. There will be betting. Maybe there'll be alcohol. Signups for The Gauntlet are very simple. Submit an edit, any edit, any number of edits, and they will be eligible for The Gauntlet. The catch is, all edits will be given the same parameter spread. Edits will also be forced to wear gloves on occasion. If Mr. Monopoly feels like it. It's a free country, you know.
Honoo will return in May. This time will also be used to improve certain things I have been neglecting.

Now that the tour's ended and it's time to spend XP again, Vanessa Saunders has added another three points to Kick offense with her CRIT XP, along with one more point into Punch defense and Rough defense with her regular XP.
I fear for the future of HONOO if she continues this run she's on, 'cause good lawdy she's on the run of a lifetime right now.

Afterburn has concluded. Debuting fighters, consistent match quality, and most importantly... AWF GAUNTLET info for real this timeEnter the underground with the AWF Gauntlet. Accepting all challengers. The format - 11 matches and one "final boss" match. Matchups will be randomized and whoever wins the first match will move onto the next, and so on.
The rules - All fighters are welcome to compete with the sole catch of having their parameters changed to a default spread shared among all AWF fighters.
The prize - Challenging or possibly becoming the CHAMP.
The first AWF Gauntlet will air live on 5/9/19, the same day as CRITICAL Edge (and the Ricky Quick vs Anton Mikhailov KISHIN Black Belt challenge). 7:30PM PST. Open bar. Potentially gambling. Don't bring your kids.

HONOO's submission to CRITICAL Edge has been uploaded following its airing. Tonight is also the debut of the AWF, THE AWF GAUNTLET. 11 matches, a big boss, blood money, big prizes. The show will take place soon after Senator Phillips's concludes. (it begins at 8:00 PM CT) Or after Firehawk's. I don't know how timezones work. It's the AWF.

AWF Gauntlet #1 has concluded.
A very "interesting" show that establishes the AWF as exactly what it is, the alternative to the sportsman-like HONOO, a garbage bag that smells like booze and is full of cigarette butts. See Sub10 and Yung Freud frequently reach new heights of tastefulness. However, the AWF gauntlet is too powerful to happen more than once a month. Stay tuned in June for the second incredible installment. In the meantime...
HONOO Afterburn airs on Sunday, on YouTube at 5:30PM PST as always. See your favorite HONOO fighters in action! The AWF RETURNS on the 18th WITH: AWF TV Episode #1: Community Chest. Mr. Monopoly's latest recruit must adjust to life in the Underground. The characters that will define the AWF are introduced; Chuck Kills, the fork stabbing madman. Gary The Hot Soup, the master of Nanimonoken, and the eloquently named Fukk Datt.

I was surprised to see my DMX edit in this, though with green boxing gloves added on, in this. Nevertheless this is worthy of a watch.

Some of you probably noticed I skipped Afterburn again. I do that sometimes, but this time there wasn't even a good reason. Before I get into the infodump for this evening's show, I must announce that I'm cancelling AWF TV. I've ended up throwing HONOO under the bus a bit for the sake of AWF and the results so far aren't even that good. The AWF angle will be re-evaluated and reconstructed, the Gauntlet shows will continue as planned, and in fact, may last longer than they would have if the TV existed (the AWF would've ended up completely dissolved by ep. 4). Because of the AWF, I've severely failed to build up this next show. I'll do better from now on. WAR IN OSAKA - 5/15/19 Main Event: Ricky Backdrop takes on Danny Thorpe in Thorpe's 3rd HONOO WHC Defense Co-Main: Ricky Quick defends the KISHIN Black Belt he won at CRITICAL EDGE for the first time, against Azumi Takahashi Tyson Apollo vs Vanessa Saunders Anton Mikhailov vs Richard Richards Andronicus Turner vs the returning The Wall Jr. Midnight Jones vs the returning Xemyr Le Bae Masaaki Isogai vs Lukas von Hahn Eiko Takeshita vs Bluce Lee Airing tonight, 6:30PM PST on Twitch.

Ricky Backdrop on the match with Danny Thorpe Danny Thorpe, no matter whether its you that underestimates me, or whether its the company that thinks I'm going to do the job to you, brother, I'll end the show as the HONOO GP World Champion! With me and my legions of fans in the arena, you won't just face off against me, but you'll be facing off against over a million loyal Backdroppers! Once our match ends, I'll be the one standing at the top of the food chain, brother!
