Are there any guidelines to getting an edit booked?
I don't require any specific point limit/ logic rules, but I will test out everyone before I officially book. My main concern is they put on entertaining matches and fit from a character standpoint, but at the same time the logic should be consistent with said character, and have a certain minimum baseline (no move spamming, rando pins in ND, ect.). If I see issues I will PM you and we can discuss further.
Back stories and other information are also helpful and welcome as it can help with how I'll book your edit.
What information should I provide?
- Link to the edit on steam
- Whether the edit is main event or midcard
- What promotion you'd prefer to be booked on (note: Lucha POWER is a lucha only fed, Warrior Pro is a catch all of styles)
Also note: You can submit a tag team if you want. Also, I currently do not have a dedicated women's division, though I am open to booking women on my shows. Just note that they'll likely get booked against men, and should be built with that in mind.
Also also note: This thread is for individual edit sign ups. Please don't just link to your whole steam collection and ask me to choose. Give me your 1-2 favorites so we all have a good time. Also, I have working relations with other efeds (you know who you are), there is no reason for you guys to submit here- we can work through our existing avenues. If you run an efed and want to work more closely, well that's fucking awesome. PM me and we can chat, you also don't have to submit here.
How will my edit get booked?
There are two ways your edit will end up getting booked.
One: if I have a "storyline" idea that I want to do, I will PM and discuss. This could be a one off show, or a more longer term thing. This may or may not require some form of RP. All of that will be discussed and agreed upon before moving forward.
Two: an edit can be booked in a one off match on a WP/LP streamed events called the "Community Showcase" Match. One card on the show will be dedicated to showcasing community edits. This match will prioritize edits that are not affiliated with an efed, in an attempt to give visibility to edits that may not have other avenues. Depending on the number of submissions, I may add these matches to "pretaped" house shows as well. There is no roleplay/promo-ing required for this (but its always encouraged), and hopefully we get some otherwise unseen matches. I will be testing matches out before booking them to ensure compatibility, and may substitute one of my own edits to ensure an entertaining match. In the event that participation is low, the match may be scrapped in a given week/month (in other words, depending on demand, the match may not take place at every show).
Random things to know to avoid people getting upset:
I do not book winners, ever. Everything runs on a first sim first winner basis (much to my chagrin usually). I will do my best to ensure edits are not squashed, but we live by the RNG Gods around here. The only exception is pre-taped shows, where sometimes goofy shit happens either from a game or recordings standpoint. But my honest goal is not to book outside people to have my guys squash them- I would much prefer to get them over.
I run small shows. I have limited time, so this is unlikely to change. My schedule is roughly 1 official live stream a month for big shows, and an ad-hoc amount of pre-taped "house shows." Big cards are 5-7 matches. Pre-taped are usually just 3 matches. I say all of this to note, if you sign up and dont get booked right away, I'm not avoiding you. I will do my best to get people into shows, but these feds are still going to mainly focus on my own edits, and integrate outside talent in a way that fits what I want to do. I'm usually pretty good about communicating out to people about my plans but if you're concerned, shoot me a PM and I can help clarify.
If you have any other questions/concerns please feel free to ask or PM me.
