There was a purchase check for Takayama for PC, but he and the spirit punch worked offline. The Always online DRM was added later on. The problem never was DRM, it was always online DRM. Ah right, I apologise, when I talk about DRM, I'm talking about the always-online kind.If you download Takayama on PS4, can he be used offline? That's what I wanted to ask. With Takayama, yes there were always checks in place on his parts. My belief is that it would've been too much trouble for SC to implement those same purchase checks across the many many parts that were added with the NJPW DLC. So they came up with the always online DRM as a countermeasure. I definitely don't think it was a mistake. |
