One of the things I miss from Returns is there were way more arena options. My favorite was the high school gym with the basketball court and there was one venue that looked like a warehouse/garage. Will they even add any other arena DLC's particularity smaller venues?

If youre asking if PS4 will ever get mods for the arenas: no, they wont.
Otherwise we have no idea what they plan for DLC.

The one who looked like a warehouse, my favourite actually, was the dojo, and the stadium was the city hall!
Look i don't think its gonna happen, so lets just use the PC version because we can mod it.

They probably think the existing arenas are good enough from a variety and match evaluation standpoint. Granted, I wouldn't put it past them to release 3 or 4 reskins of Yurakuen as paid dlc.

Ive said it before but Id legit pay for a arena pack. Even if it's 5 dollars for 2 allah the Oblivion Horse Armor. I mean it seems like such a simple thing to get DLC sales from.
Seriously I want KBS Hall damn it lol

Carl, how are the arenas stored in the game? Are they just static full scenes, or a collection of single models assembled as a unity scene? I used to model arenas all the time, I was working on a game back when I had free time. I had hundreds of different arena models sitting on my HD at one point. I always used to stall out my projects because I'd get so carried away making arenas. I used to scour every gear vendor online to get all the actual dimensions of every and stage props etc... I'd really love to get heavy into modding this (time permitting) when the game releases it's final patch. Mostly camera, and pacing, and seconds behavior. There is nothing worse than playing cat and mouse with software that is constantly in flux. I have a few arenas I'd love to model, especially since they are so simple for me to do. I've done it so many times, they flow from my mouse. I'd have to learn the fire pro scale. A WCW Spring Break inspired arena, with a wooden deck to get to the ring that is surrounded by water. Maybe platforms in the water with the announce team under a straw roof, and some of those dancer girls from the mexico ramp in the water too. :) A rooftop style arena. A dark nightclub with neon lights and a dj booth etc. Something like the Titty Twister in From Dusk Till Dawn (the movie version). Something like LU's Temple. 'Pop Up' arenas where they just threw barricades and a ring up in a random place and put on a wrestling show. A fast food place, where the tables are just outside the ring barricade. A street in Japan. There'd be a sidewalk with like Manga/Anime shops and like Ramen Restaurants just outside the barricades. A subway platform with a train that periodically passes by. The barricades would just be some of those wooden roadblock things. I'm not really interested in recreating a real arena. Just made up stuff that changes the atmosphere and aesthetics while you're playing. We look at the ring on 90% of the screen most of the time. All we get is the floor and the area just outside the gates to play with. desertpunk34, KBS Hall looks cool, but not much bang for your buck once the match starts. It effectively turns to the Korakuen Hall type arena (camera mods aside). But we could make our own 'fire pro' version. We could move the wall closer to the ring so it's visible during the match, and the stained glass could be our fallen posters. This place looks cool too: i.redditmedia.com/nQVsM6J5HUJAQTEcH_2acRqpIAt1O3ru2miMc3kEGsU.png?w=826&s=4d9211c4bf0c51ef89f91fb0cdda0f38 Taken from this thread on Reddit: www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/83nl90/what_are_the_best_smaller_venues_for_wrestling/

If there was a way to manipulate the crowd image, I'm sure we could get closer to a lot of those fancier arenas. Maybe replacing the audience with an image of fewer members with empty seats, or just the front row with a wall, would make a huge difference.

I'm sure people would be willing to pay for them, especially on console where custom arenas aren't possible. Easy enough to do, and it's technically new content. Give them different names and you have some new venues.

If I just had a flat-walled rectangular room to reskin to my heart's content I'd be set. I'd pay as much as twenty bucks for a goddamned drywall DLC. Altering the arenas is easily one of my favorite things to do with the game, particularly turning the dojo into various non-wrestling venues, but a basic boxy room to work with would be the ultimate.

A reskin of the dojo might work, also I forget but there was a Returns Arena that was in a gym, even had Volleyball or Basketball lines visible under the outside mats. Also I want S-1st back damn it lol.
