I hate when this game becomes so tedious that I just shut it off and go do something else. I have a new external hard drive, so I can play all my games again, but I digress, lol. Yeah, I know that feeling all too well. When just playing the game becomes a chore, I take a few week break. In news of the opposite nature, last night I realized how damn easy it was to pair my PS4 controller wirelessly with my computer to play Fire Pro. I have been using the mouse and keyboard 90% of the time and every now and then plugging in my wired xbox controller to play or set up angles for videos. I got that controller just for Fire Pro back before Sony made it so easy to pair their controller. It's not a bad controller but I never really liked the d-pad or buttons and the wire was a pain to navigate. I probably discovered this way too late but it already made a huge difference last night. It was fun playing for a while in a more relaxed position. I have one of those Steam link things I never use but I may try to pair the controller with that too. |

My rinky-dink 3rd party 360 controller finally gave up last week - There's tears in the rubber pads that make the buttons rebound in the A and X buttons. I'm surprised it lasted me over ten years. I'm using a wireless Xbox Series S controller now, and it's so heavy because of the battery pack. I have it wired to my computer with a standard USB cable. It'll do for now, until I can find something less heavy.
I have a PS3 controller with a wireless adaptor in a box somewhere that I can probably check to see if it works or not - It didn't work with my last computer, so I put it away.

Sorry to hear about your 360 controller. But getting 10 years out of one is quite a feat!
My PS3 controller is being recognized maybe like 90% of the time for my PC and Steam. It seems I have to keep disassociating and reassociating it every time I use it which is annoying. I can't just start Fire Pro with mouse/keyboard and then transition over to the controller midway through.
I can't remember when exactly this occurred but it was sometime between 2005 and 2010. I was using a wireless third party PS2 controller for a while. It was solid and worked well for Fire Pro and even some fighting games. About six months into using it, I noticed it was leaking battery fluid from the battery pack. Ever since then, I haven't gotten a third party wireless controller that relies on a pack.
I kind of hate wired controllers now though - especially finding an angle to plug them into my PC without getting tangled in it while using it. I look like one of those buffoons in an infomercial who can't figure out how to do basic things 😁

I put my two most recently created edits against each other tonight and got an awesome match! Aoshi Tsukayama vs. Eddie "The Annihilator" Falcone Aoshi is a strong style practitioner. Eddie is an homage to 80's "hair metal" band lead singers. This is the best 30 seconds of the match and one of the best exchanges I've seen in a while.  Aoshi takes exception to the chair throw and righteous guitar shredding and hits his Lightning Spiral finisher. Eddie's bandmate, the drummer (yet to be named), interferes to stop the pin. Then Eddie hits one of his own signature moves for the near fall. Another fun "interference" spot with the guitar spot which is one of Eddie's specials.  Eddie ended up winning around the 17 minute mark with a high angle schoolboy pin. I used EZGif to create and optimize each GIF then uploaded it to GIPHY. The process worked better and quicker than doing it all through GIPHY. |

2024 been mostly 🔥🤮🔥 so far but Fire Pro been good to me when I give it love back. I updated some edits and made new ones over the past few months. The spots have been plentiful: Alicia Gordon (updated) along with Rose Moreno vs. Megan Williams and Ruby Moreno This week I completed an edit I've been working on since January. His name is Rojiro Rodriguez and he loves spinning moves, arm submissions, cutters, and long walks on the beach in Brazil. I felt confident in his abilities and put him against an updated (and far more aggressive) Kyle Walker. First match was close with Kyle winning. The rematch was violent and ended abruptly: |
