Man, I thought I was maybe a touch obsessive for grabbing the Japanese digital deluxe edition (ostensibly to give everyone a look at the GAMEPLAY the new edit mode assets and moves)!
That's some real firepro love there tho, not gonna lie.

I thought I was going overboard with getting the premium edition and the US digital deluxe, but damn.
Back to the DLC, what do you guys think the additional scenario will be? I'm thinking maybe it'll be an excursion pack with your edit being sent to ROH or CMLL. I just want Daniels tbh

I just want Daniels tbh I'm thinking that it's possibly a Bullet Club scenario, assuming that's not an extra path in New Game+ for the base Fighting Road. Spike's gotta know that they're ridiculously popular overseas.

It would be nice if, say, a potential ROH story could have you either join or feud with the BC and then link back to a new path in the heavyweight dlc.

Preorder for the US Digital Deluxe Edtion is up on PSN. $80.99 (10% discount until release) store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP4774-CUSA08007_00-FPWWDELUXE000000Guess that confirms that the final piece of DLC is another Story Mode scenario. Kinda disappointing. I was hoping for a surprise major feature since the other two pieces of DLC are slated for release by the end of the year and Director said he was planning to work on the game for a year after release.

I'm beyond hyped. I personally think the price will be worth what we get, but my concern is that the price point isn't low enough to lure in new players or people willing to give it a shot because of a lower price point.
Hopefully sales do well, because I'd really love a Switch port.

The physical copy doesn't have a deluxe edition? I will have to buy the dlc separately Nope, only the Japanese players get a physical deluxe edition. Even then, it's a limited run of about 10,000 copies, and whenever they go up on sale on amazon japan, amiami, play-asia, etc., they quickly put in a pre-order stop indicating that all the copies allocated to them have been preordered. Sooooo. I just ordered a deluxe version from Play-Asia on Sunday...apparently there are more available. Mine's staying in the shrinkwrap and will be a dust collector on my desk. I'll buy the digital version for playing on PS4.

What are the odds that the other DLC entry is a NJPW legends scenario?

What are the odds that the other DLC entry is a NJPW legends scenario? I was wondering that too. Like some kind of series of legends, not just NJPW guys. But like the Funks, Tiger Mask, etc.

But like the Funks, Tiger Mask, etc. That'd be cool but the only issue is that everybody under a WWE Legends contract would be unavailable. Those include the rights to their likeness in the deal. The WWE has tied up a ton of talent. No Funk Brothers, no Big Van Vader, no Stan Hansen, no Abdullah, no Tatsumi Fujinami, no Inoki, etc, etc, etc. Back when we were speculating about a legends thing, I thought they were seriously trying to get Hulk Hogan (since that's always Hogan's MO when he's on the outs with the WWE) but him being welcomed back puts that idea on ice unless the deal was finalised beforehand.

I doubt we're getting legends. There are so many glaringly missing foreigners that I can't help but think that the third DLC pack is a Bullet Club or tag team scenario.

Some baseless speculation on what the third piece of DLC could be.
Ring Of Honor. This seems like something they'd save for the second wave of DLC if the first wave sold well. There's alot of overlap between the NJPW/ROH fanbase so it wouldn't pull in new people. Plus it'd probably cost a decent amount to license.
CMLL. I'd bet on this one. They already have the lucha arena and it'd open up the game to a whole new audience. I don't know how excited Japanese or American fans would be but hey the season pass is already sold.
Some other promotion. I don't know if anybody is big enough. I doubt NJPW would want to be associated with Impact Wrestling. Lucha Underground is tied to AAA. CZW would be cool if they could also sign a deal with Onita. Doing another Japanese promotion wouldn't really expand on the World aspect of the game.
Legends. A fantasy scenario with a bunch of retired wrestler could be cool if they can expand outside of NJPW. While alot of people are tied up by WWE contracts, I'm sure they could cobble together 15-25 wrestlers of interest that could get people excited without breaking the bank.
Sudo51. Long shot but imagine him writing a fantasy scenario with the existing NJPW wrestlers we're receiving. That would certainly get alot of eyes on the project.
_______
But I don't know. I'm still surprised it's another scenario for Story Mode. Nothing really seems like an obvious choice.
