It's fight night tonight, and oh boy is it going to be a busy night of Fire Pro Sims. Warrior Pro's biggest show of the year: Warriorversary, the Office kicks off a two night Lariats and Legislators, and Evergreen broadcasts its last show before the World Cup. All on the same night.
Because of this, theres a big of a programming shuffle for tonights Warriorversary card to ensure Senator Phillips has enough time to transition from one show to the other (that guy really knows how to come out of retirement amirite?).
SO- the updated Warriorversary card. Show will start promptly at 5:30pm PT to limit overlap with other shows as much as possible:
Vic "The Technician" Baron vs "The Last Viking" Markus Winter
Tank McDaniel vs El Macho (Lucha POWER)
"Lanky" Lefty McDaniel vs Senator Steve Phillips (The Office) Rampage Hunter vs Big Bird Machine (STRUGGLE) Warrior Pro Tag Team Championship: Grim Reapers (c) vs Red Masterson and Cowboy Johnston (TIPWF) Lucha POWER Championship: Doc Wyatt (c) vs Pantero Negro Jr (Lucha POWER) Warrior Pro World Heavyweight Championship: John Logan (c) vs Machine Gun Mayhem

A little update of sorts. Due to some RL changes (all mostly good, but time consuming) Warrior Pro and its affiliated feds are going to be on a bit of a holiday. I just dont have the time to put the proper effort into what I've been doing for 3+ years, and if I'm being honest I've probably been fighting some form of burnout for the better part of a year.
So I'm taking time to think about what comes next, how I want to move forward, tinker with fire pro outside of efed specific stuff, and also generally just do other things. I'm very unlikely to be completely done, but I also just wanna let the urge to do stuff bubble up before getting back to work. In the meantime, almost everyone is open for bookings- just send me a note and I'm likely to say yes.

WRESTLING NEWS ROUNDUP Thanksgiving is approaching, and the world of professional wrestling has news breaking all over the globe. Sources say a date for Dragon Fire’s one night tournament has been set, and we could be getting an announcement from the company any day now. El Macho was on The Javy Lopez Show this weekend to address a challenge made by Tiger Stripe Pro and announce a return date for Lucha POWER. Also, in the realm of stranger news, a very public legal challenge was presented to Warrior Pro Wrestling. What would generally remain a legal matter was addressed directly by Lefty McDaniel during a podcast to that will very much effect the companies next big show. We also got a date for not only said show, but also the next Warrior Grounds house show.

Lots of worldwide wrestling news trickling in this week, with promotions ramping up to close out the year. Here’s a breakdown from the various companies... Warrior Pro WrestlingLeft McDaniel touched on a variety of topics in his weekly press scrum to promote the December 9th show. One of the first things addressed was the name of the show, which had still yet to be announced by the company due to ongoing legal issues. Lefty had this to say on the subject: Lefty also announced a press conference for Monday, where we’ll hear from all three champions and challengers. If is expected that the press will be able to ask live questions to the two main eventers, John Logan and Vic Baron, with the rest being interviewed by Roger Craig. The card for Warrior Grounds 29 LIVE THURSDAY DECEMBER 9th @6pm PT:
Lizzy Jett vs Fiona Walsh Warrior Pro Tag Team Championship: Grim Reapers (c) vs Bingo Hall Mutants Warrior Pro Intercontinental Championship: Doc Wyatt (c) vs Byron Worthy Red Masterson/Rampage Hunter/Jimmy Hawkins vs Trio of Humble Talent Wrestlers Warrior Pro World Heavyweight Championship: John Logan (c) vs Vic Baron (w/Paco Pequeno)-------------------------------------- Lucha POWERLucha POWER will be running their first live show in months this Friday. While there isn't expected to be an English live feed, we have reporters attending and plan a full recap, including videos of the matches. The announced card as of now: Jack Gold & Vaquero vs Mystery Opponents Lobo Muerte vs Hexagon Jr Doctor Dorado & El Macho vs Loco Dixon & Nightmare Clown Lucha POWER Championship Pantero Negro Jr (c) vs Diego GuerreroEl Macho has indicated the company may move their annual supershow to later in the year in 2022. Traditionally held in February, the company is looking to pivot into having their biggest show of the year land on Dia de los Muertes. Nothing has been finalized, but sources say El Macho is already moving on running a much smaller show for this upcoming February. Speaking of El Macho, he was asked on a local radio show if there had been any follow up to the challenge from the former Hashin Tiger: -------------------------------------- Dragon Fire JapanMore details have been announced surrounding Dragon Fire’s first live show in over a year. The one night tournament is expected to headline a New Years show, and will center around a four man mini tournament- with the participants announced: Kenta Aoki, Hideki Nomo, Koji Tanaka, and recently signed Roy Carter. The entire roster is expected to be on the card, with the company also actively negotiating with other companies to bring in guest stars. The current rumored date for the show is Sunday January 2nd.

Breaking News On Monday, Warrior Pro Wrestling abruptly cancelled their scheduled press conference without warning, claiming that the event would be rescheduled for the following day. When yesterday came and went without any update, rumors rumbled that Thursday's live show would be in jeopardy. A press release from the company that was distributed today confirmed those fears:

After multiple reschedules, Warrior Pro Wrestling canceled their press conference to promote Warrior Grounds #29. The work to fix water damage inside Gorilla Hall was still ongoing as of this writing, and with a Bay Area storm preventing an outdoor setting for the event, the decision was made to scrap the press conference all together. Warrior Grounds #29 will still go on, as planned, tomorrow- Wednesday 29th at 5:30pm PT. All three titles will be on the line, plus a trios match between Humble Talent Wrestling and Warrior Pro, with the winner choosing a stipulation at a future HTW show. Humble Talent continues to blast press ahead of the match, with the expectation that it will continue until the issue is settled in the ring. The card for tomorrows show: Lizzy Jett vs Fiona Walsh Warrior Pro Tag Team Championship: Grim Reapers (c) vs Bingo Hall Mutants Warrior Pro Intercontinental Championship: Doc Wyatt (c) vs Byron Worthy Red Masterson/Rampage Hunter/Jimmy Hawkins vs Trio of Humble Talent Wrestlers Warrior Pro World Heavyweight Championship: John Logan (c) vs Vic Baron (w/Paco Pequeno)

After a nearly 4 month gap, Warrior Pro Wrestling finally returns to live shows. Tonight acts as the companies last event of the 2021 year, and it looks to go out with a bang with all titles on the line, the debut of two new wrestlers in the organizations women’s division, and a 6 man cross promotional tag match with heavy implications on the line. The action kicks off at 5:30pm PT on Twitch!Match PreviewsLizzy Jett vs Fiona WalshThe second showcase of Warrior Pro’s newly minted women’s division pits Lizzy Jett, a darling of the LA indie scene, with Fiona Walsh. Fiona returns home after a three year run in Blackwood Academy, where she won both singles at tag gold, to prove to management that the long term investment paid off. Expect the action to be fast and furious, with both looking to make a name in their first match in front of a WP crowd. Warrior Pro Tag Team Championship: Grim Reapers (c) vs Bingo Hall MutantsThe Reapers have torn through the Warrior Pro tag division, and now have their sights set on one of the truly legendary teams in all of wrestling. This likely will not be a technical affair, with the match more appropriately resembling a bar room brawl. A win for the Reapers would cement them as a premier tag team in the world today, while a win for the Mutants would bring them a new championship on what is already a hall of fame resume. Warrior Pro Intercontinental Championship: Doc Wyatt (c) vs Byron WorthyDoc Wyatt’s year plus reign that includes 8 title defenses stands as maybe the most impressive line item on an already impressive wrestling resume. This however will be a match more bread out of personal beef than championship aspirations. Byron Worthy, once a protege of Wyatt in the Outlaws, did not take well to his firing earlier this summer and looks to cement his place as the guy that dethroned “The Outlaw.” Red Masterson/Rampage Hunter/Jimmy Hawkins vs Trio of Humble Talent WrestlersWhat has started as a weird lawsuit has blossomed into a full on promotional war. Irked by the shared use of the event name “End of the World” last year, Humble Talent Wrestling CEO Von Muller sued Warrior Pro over the name. To avoid a courtroom, the two sides decided to settle it in the ring. This trios match will allow the winner to decide the match stipulation for HTW’s end of the year show- with the winner winning the rights to the name “End of the World” plus an undisclosed cash settlement. Warrior Pro World Heavyweight Championship: John Logan (c) vs Vic Baron (w/Paco Pequeno)Something has obviously snapped in Vic Baron. The usually cool headed, thoughtful, generational wrestler has taken to attacking anyone in his path since this years G2- and now he seems dead set on aligning with Paco Pequeno’s band of thugs. Maybe the real rivalry is between John Logan and Paco, who’s alliance crumbled when Logan was fired by Midas Mathews from Golden Touch Promotions. Regardless, the result is a World Title fight between two of the companies best wrestlers- with the potential for the last match of the year to be its best.
