Post show comments from Cowboy Johnston and Young Blood Cowboy Johnston: Sumthin' wasn't right, sure wasn't right out there. Ah never lost a match like that in mah life before, got caught an' dropped like ah was a curtain jerkin' nobody out there! Jist a stun n' dun, that's all there was to it! Ain't takin' nothin' 'way from Austin, the man's dun this thing for a long time, an' he's a right professional at it, ain't no shame losin' to a guy like that. Jist...not like that. An now ah'm startin' out already behind an' lookin' to climb mah way back in it. So ah took some time to think, just where in Hell and New York City did ah go wrong?
Cowboy: So after I did some right ponderin' on the matter, ah think ah figgered it out. Yah know what, everythin' been so right lately, that there's what's gone real wrong with mahself. Ah got fat, happy an' married. Got me mah wonderful lil' Stanley boy grown himself up fast, couldn't ask for a better cowgirl to ride with than Hailey, ah even get along well with mah in-laws, hell, Duke an' Lily-Anne were already like an extra set a' folks to mahself! Won everythin' ah ever wanted to win, got that Number One, got that Lone Star, done ah lot o' other stuff along the way. So ah got nothin' to prove an' life's movin' quick 'way from that ring.
Cowboy: But ah ain't close t' bein' done yet! Got me a big ol' G2 to win here, and damn if ah ain't gonna give it mah best shot! Back in the ol' days, ah learned how to brawl, the Texan way when ah grew up. Then ah rode south of that there Rio Grande, and ah learned how to do the Lucha thing. An then ah went over to Japan, and ah picked up how you ride the road of a king. But mah point here, is that ah've always been adaptable to where ah'm at in life, an' maybe ah just gotta do that one more time...an then all of yah folks better look right on out!

On Friday morning, Young Blood made an appearance on Digital Dave Doolittle's Ring Beholder podcast, and the results were as predictable as they were abrupt:
Young Blood: You want to know the fuckin' truth? I didn't give two shits about that belt. Didn't want that shitty little plate of gold, didn't give a fuck about that bitch-made John Logan. I don't even fucking know why I had it to begin with. So, Warrior Pro can eat my ass. Logan can eat my ass. And any wrestling fans who have a problem with that can fuck themselves. Midas, Sweenson, Tank, that bitch who runs Evergreen, and especially you, Doolittle, all of you don't like what I say, you don't like what I do, then that's your fuckin' problem.
Digital Dave Doolittle: Look, I never said I had a problem with anything you said. I brought you on the most venerable professional wrestling podcast in the world so you could tell your side of the story, because if you're not aware, the internet...
YB: The internet is full of pussies and chickenshits! Just like you, always fuckin' stirring up shit, Doolittle, if I was in the room with you right now, I'd fuck you up so bad...
Digital Dave: And that's all we're going to hear from Young Blood on this morning, a man who couldn't even produce more than an 85% rating in a feud culminating title match in his own match type against his hated rival. He wants to make excuses, he wants to say he didn't care, all I know is that the records are going to say he lost, and that he didn't even lose in a match you'll want to see again!

Transcipt from SKIP LEGDAY's recent phone interview on KRCK 103.9 - The Tri-State Area's Home of the ROCK! BIG DADDY JIMBO: Welcome back perverts! This is the Morning Zoo with Big Daddy Jimbo and The Weasel Dog!
(the soundboard plays a wolf howl, followed by a brief guitar solo)
JIMBO: And with us on the phone right now, all the way from the west coast, you know him, you love him, you wonder how he stands on those things, it's STRUGGLE Pro Wrestling superstar, Skip Legday! (the soundboard inexplicably plays the "YEEEAH" from the beginning of "Fight for Your Right" by the Beastie Boys, followed by canned applause) JIMBO: Now Skip, you recently scored an impressive victory over Guerra De Sangre's Tocapelotas, and I gotta say, considering some of your recent injury history - (the soundboard plays the sounds of walnuts cracking, followed by that "yaahhh-hoo-hoo-hoo-hooey" sound from old Disney cartoons) - You were taking a pretty big risk going against someone with the unorthodox style of Tocapelotas. (the soundboard plays five seconds of "My Nuts" by the Fat Boys)
SKIP: Well bro, I knew what I was getting into when I signed the contract for the match. And I have to admit, it was a pretty tense moment when he went for the Shattered Dreams, but I picked up the win, and that's what really matters.
JIMBO: But Skip, I gotta say, you really took a big boot to the cojones there! (the sounboard plays a similar nut-cracking sound, but this time with the Howie Scream) I gotta know, how are the boys doing? SKIP: Uhh... Really? Everything's fine. At the end of the day, a lower-body injury can't stop me, because this is an upper-body business, and nobody's got an upper body like Skip Legday. JIMBO: There you have it folks! Now stay tuned, because coming up next, the Weasel Dog is phoning in a bomb threat to the Pentagon!

Night One of the G2 proved to be something of a one sided affair, with most of the matches being quick and decisive. This week should see a different trend, with many of the block favorites facing off against each other to determine what could be all important tie breakers down the line.

We're crossing the halfway point of block action this week as the standings start to actually matter and for several wrestlers, tomorrow's match could be make or break for their chances. In fact, the current leaders could sap the rest of the tournament of much drama with a win. Both Machine Gun and Pantero Negro, if victorious, would own all the tie breakers against the top contenders- making the main event's of each block the highest of stakes.

We're entering the home stretch of the tournament, with two weeks to go and both blocks with the potential to be wrapped up a week early. But there is upset potential that could hold off any celebrations for at least a week... In the A block, Pantero controls his own destiny owning tie breakers against both Austin Baron and Doc Wyatt. He would need to lose both matches for anyone to catch him, and if he does, Doc's draw with Cowboy could end up being the deciding factor. The B block is more straight forward- a win from Machine Gun or a lose from Markus Winter and this is all over. If neither ends up happening, we could be in for a nail biter of a final week for both men. Check out full previews of tomorrow's card HEREAction kicks off TOMORROW at 5:30pm PT on TWITCH

A message from Cowboy Johnston: Cowboy Johnston: Now ah'm the spoiler, that there's some right awful breaks, but it is what it is! Part ah mahself wants jist ta' go out there an' give Pantero a win to give Doc that much more of a rough ride to the finish! But ah ain't the type to do anythin' but go down swingin' and ah'm gonna give that masked man a fight he ain't quite ready fer just yet! People ain't rememberin' that ah used to be a masked Lucha man mahself, the Borderline Brawler! Ah busted folks up on both sides of the Rio for years! Now, lot's changed since then, ah've slown down a bit, got mah protege, 4-H, Hoss Hadley ready to rumble back in Texas, been busier trainin' him than trainin' mahself, an mebbe ah had this comin' to mahself fer a while now. But ah don't like the idea of leavin' this thing without a single solitary win, an' ah'm gonna do whatever ah gotta do to make sure that ain't gonna be the case!

Not only did this turn out to be the best night of the tournament thus far in terms of match quality, it might rank as one of the best shows Warrior Pro Wrestling has ever put on. Front to back the card delivered great match after great match, with a record three "5 Star" matches. The impact to both blocks was also felt, with the Finals match-up in two weeks now clearer than ever. Go HERE for all the matches, recaps, and some very... passionate post show interviews..
