It's the last night of block action before the finals next week, and if you ever needed any proof that wrestling isn't fake- how about a five week tournament where both blocks are decided before the last week of action? Tank rectified the meaninglessness of this weeks card by making the Doc Wyatt vs Austin Baron match be for Doc's Intercontinental Championship. Match previews and final words from the main event participants! Go HERE Action kicks off TOMORROW at 5:30pm PT on TWITCH

The last night of block action was an eventful won, including a nail biter of an Intercontinental Championship fight to cap everything off. We already knew it would be Machine Gun vs Pantero in the finals, but the card still provided some great matches, and a window into what's to come for both the finals show and Warriorversary next month. Go HERE for full matches, recaps and post show interviews… ...And then check out the full lineup for next weeks Finals show, with some words from the Grim Reapers on their first title defense in over two months.

The finals for the G2 are only a couple days away, and with such a deep card, it seemed appropriate for a giant press conference with all kinds of promos. We got Tommy O'Malley and his thoughts on defending that Luxurious Purple Jacket. Whats up with Markus Winter's weird friend? the Doc vs Red/Cowboy feud reaches a boiling point. And the Machine Gun/Toca saga continues.... Check it all out HERE

A VIDEO MESSAGE FROM THE COKE BROTHERS
RICKY COKE: Hey! Hey you. Hey you guys. (rubs nose and sniffles a little) Hey all you guys. Listen up. It's me, Ricky Coke of the world renowned, world famous, world champion Coke Brothers, here with my brother Ross.
ROSS COKE: (kind of rocks from side to hide with his eyes about 85% closed, looking like he could just fall over at any second) Hey... Uhh... It's... Y'know.... (trails off into mumbling)
RICKY: I said, "here with my brother, Ross." C'mon, man, what the hell!?
ROSS: Y'know I'm just... Just like... Gimme a minute... Go ahead and do the thing... Or... Whatever.... (kind of stumbles out of frame)
RICKY: Jesus fucking Christ, Ross.... So anyway, hey, it's the Coke Brothers. As you already know, we finally proved ourselves to be the premiere tag team in all the Tri-State Area when we kicked the crap out of those two mall goths at the War Party. But did you know that this Thursday at the G2 finals, we're going to become double champs? That's four belts! That's really quadruple champs, if you think about it. But yeah, we're challenging.... Wait, who was... (pulls out a sheet of paper and quickly scans it) the Grim... Reapers... Ohhhhh shiiiiit, the Grim Reapers! I remember those guys! They had some really good... Never mind. What's important is that we're headed out west to go take the Warrior Pro belts from those guys, making up the mythical champ-champs, which is again four total physical belts, meaning we'll really be the champ-champ-champ-champs. (an extremely loud and long sniffing sound can be heard from just off-camera) And this will further cement the legacy of the Coke Brothers - and that's us - as one of the greatest-
(ROSS COKE, suddenly looking like an absolutely wild-eyed maniac, bursts into the frame, knocking Ricky over in the process)
ROSS: WHOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAARRRGGHHH, GRRRRIIIIMMMMM REEEEAPERRRS! Y-y-you think you're gonna say that sh-sh-sh-shit to me!? I f-f-f-f-fuckin' heard you man! I got ears! And eyes! And my ears g-g-g-g-got eyes of their own! I am everywhere and I am everyone! I AM KRISHNA! I AM THE GOD DAMNED ELECTRONS! You ain't got a chance in hell! You ain't g-g-g-got a chance in heck! YOU AIN'T GOT A CHANCE IN ASS, G-G-G-G-GRIM R-R-R-REAPERS! We will win! You w-w-w-will lose! That's how it works out here in these s-s-sstreets! STRUGGLE PRO BELTS ARE ON THE LINE!
RICKY: Whoa, you know, we don't actually have to-
ROSS: ARE Y-Y-YOU CHICKEN RICKY!? i ain't no chicken! I'm a goddamn cassowary, stompin' ass! WHOOOOOOOOOOOO!
(another loud sniffing noise can be heard, and suddenly RICKY seems way more into this arrangement)
RICKY: YEAH! You know what? Pride goeth before a fall, and since we're all proud and shit, that means, like, the Grim Reapers have to fall! IT'S IN THE BIBLE! LETS GET SOME FREAKIN' JET SKIS!
ROSS: F-F-F-F-FFFFF, HECK YEAH! DOUBLE TITLES! DOUBLE JET SKIS! LET'S D-D-D-DOOO THIISSSS!
(STRUGGLE Pro head booker UNCLE ABDUL runs into the frame, looking absolutely horrified and waving his arms wildly in the general direction of the camera)
ABDUL: Whoa, whoa, whoa! What is all this!? What the fuck is wrong with you two numbskulls!? Turn that off! Double titles wasn't part of the deal, you idiots!
ROSS: Too late now, we're broadcasting L-L-L-L-LIVE, baby, WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
ABDUL: (looking directly into the camera, completely mortified) What!? Oh sweet baby Jesus, no... No, no, no, you've fucked us all!
(at this point, the video feed cuts out abruptly)

After five weeks of block action, we are on the eve of the G2 finals. The winner will face John Logan for the World Heavyweight Title at Warriorversary III, while the loser will have to simply dream of what could have been. Big news regarding the undercard as well, with it being announced that the STRUGGLE tag teams titles will also be on the line, effectively making this a title vs title match (There's a fella named Abdul that keeps calling regarding this stipulation but we've been sending it straight to voicemail). All the action kicks off tomorrow at the normal time- 5:30pm PT on TWITCHMatch Previews:Markus Winter vs Jimmy HawkinsBoth young stars finished up the tournament on winning streaks- with Markus especially hot, winning his last four matches after dropping the opening round to eventual block winner Machine Gun Mayhem. This match may have some extra juice behind it, with rumors that the winner could receive an Intercontinental Championship match at Warriorversary. With how both men have been wrestling, this one could steal the show... Red Masterson and Cowboy Johnston vs Jackson Hole Outlaws (Doc Wyatt & Roy Carter)The history between these four men is a mile long, and intertwined so much its hard to even know who is suppose to be on the "right" side of anything. There is an aura of finality around this match-up, with all four men speaking of using this match to settle all scores. Expect everything to be left out in the ring in what could quickly devolve into an old fashion bar fight. Luxurious Purple Jacket: Tommy O'Malley (c?) vs TocapelotasTommy never earned this jacket, but it hasnt appeared to stop him from defending it. He may have finally met his match in the eccentric Toca, who despite a disappointing G2 record easily walked out as the fan favorite of the tournament. Expect literally anything to happen in this match, and for all of us to feel dumber when its finished. Tag Team Championship (Both Warrior Pro and STRUGGLE): Grim Reapers (c) vs the Coke Brothers (STRUGGLE)What was already looking like one of the more exciting cross promotional tag matches of the year just got more interesting when the Coke Brothers put their own newly won tag titles on the line in addition to the Reapers own belts. These might be two of the best tag teams in the business today, so expect a highly entertaining fight that will have major ramifications for both companies when its all said and done. G2 Finals Match: Machine Gun Mayhem vs Pantero Negro JrNever has there been a G2 Finals where both block winners entered undefeated. Pantero Negro, one of the top stars in Mexico, has never looked better- besting Doc Wyatt and a resurgent hall of famer Austin Baron to earn A block honors. Machine Gun Mayhem, last years winner, fought back former champ Vic Baron as well as hot shot up and comers Skip Legday and Markus Winter to earn a second straight trip to the finals. There can only be one winner- and this could, on paper, be the best finals we've seen yet.

The G2 Finals turned out to be a wild show, on par with the entire tournament and a fitting close out to the six week affair. The night featured titles on the line, the G2 tournament at stake, and one of the best matches in the history of the promotion. And after the show, the press room turned into a warzone as the card for Warriorversary next month starts to take shape. Go HERE for a full recap of the show and post show mayhem.

WRESTLING NEWS ROUNDUP With the usual mini-hiatus in between the G2 and Warriorversary in effect, it has been a slow news cycle as of late. That changed late last week when a promotional poster for Warriorversary leaked, showing a date of July 29th for the big event. While no matches have been announced outside of the main event, there are several matches heavily rumored to be made official in the coming weeks... Rumored: "Lanky" Lefty McDaniel vs Senator Steve Philips Warrior Pro Tag Team Championship: Grim Reapers (c) vs Red Masterson and Cowboy Johnston Lucha POWER Championship: Doc Wyatt (c) vs Pantero Negro Jr
Confirmed:
Warrior Pro World Heavyweight Championship: John Logan (c) vs Machine Gun Mayhem
It is also expected that Tank McDaniel will be wrestling on the show in some capacity, and one has to assume Rampage vs Big Bird Machine II is at least being negotiated. --------------------------------------------------------------- Warrior Pro announced earlier today a new interview style show will debut next week called, The Bullpen. The show will be hosted by Roger "Humm Baby" Craig and feature top stars answering questions and cutting promos. While there is no word on the cadence of the show, sources seem to think this will likely air at least before every big show going forward. The lineup for the premiere? Heavyweight Champ John Logan, Tag Team Champs the Grim Reapers, Rampage Hunter, and an interview with Lefty McDaniel. --------------------------------------------------------------- And finally, word is Markus Winter is still suffering from Vic Baron's attack at the post show press conference of the G2 Finals. No word on a recovering time frame or any disciplinary action from Warrior Pro management. Lefty McDaniel is rumored to be addressing the situation in his interview next week.
