1962 - MCW (Merchant Class Wrestling, later Mononoke Championship Wrestling) is founded by Donnie (Don) Flippo. Don Flippo first established the company after leaving the executive board of Kodak film in 1962. Don’s love of wrestling did not emerge the style emerging in the Southern US, but from a business trip to Japan in 1959. The excitement of seeing Rikidōzan live (Don thought he was going to see a Sumo match) led to a lifetime love of Japanese wrestling.
1964 - Richard 'The River" Johnson is the first MCW Heavyweight title.
1965- MCW applies to be part of the NWA but is rejected. Due to this slight, Don refused to bring in talent from other NWA affiliated promotions.
1965-1972 - Don brings Japanese and Mexican talent into the river region of Alabama and slowly grows his territory over the next several years. Famous wrestlers include Jaguar I, Big John Boy Douglas, and Bill Flippo (one of Don's sons). Don was also one of the few southern promotions to feature African American wrestlers.

Great Oni post matches attacks a prone Bill, causing nerve damage in Bill's left arm. Bill's son Jaeger, a recent dojo graduate, chases Oni away. This would be the beginning of a 15+ year rivalry.
1997- Both Saturn and King Kitsune have their final match against each other. The match is rather bloody and ends with King Kitsune finally putting away his friend with a piledriver. King Kitsune, surprising, left the ring first and allowed Saturn to bask in glory one more time.
1998-2004 - The last of the old guard had mostly retired. Super Kakita, Hanshin Tiger, Jaeger Flippo become the faces of the MCW. The former Tiger Prince, has been kidnapped. Prince was last seen being helped out of the ring by officials following his loss and assault by members of the LION ARMY. Garrett Coliseum staff recently released closed circuit camera footage showing the former Tiger Prince being assault further by the LION ARMY and taken away in a vehicle. Holy Papa Florida told this reporter that Tiger Prince "asked for this" and that "we are simply helping HIM and him, find themselves."
Tiger Prince has lost his mask. Following the match, the rest of the members of the LION ARMY came to the ring and beat the ever living crap out of Tiger Prince. Medical professionals were finally allowed to take Prince to the back for medical treatment. After regaining some of his senses, Prince was kidnapped by LION ARMY. No word yet as to what his current condition is.

Andrea declares that she will "destroy Crystal Reeves and take what she rightfully deserves. I have dominate womens wrestling my entire career and I will not be beat by anyone."
-Before the main event, Hanshin Tiger, Brent Reed, Mr. Liquid and two unnamed lawyers came to the ring. Hanshin went to begin, but Brent Reed took the mic before he could say anything.
Thanks to my brilliant lawyer, I have found a hole in my TSP contract. Normally wrestlers are not allowed rematches are losing titles. Thanks to Hanshin Tigers WONDERFUL contract, they forgot to add the clause to my contract. Since Mr. Tiger is afraid of losing everything in court to me, we made a little deal. I will have my rematch, whenever and wherever the hell I want. There is nothing Hanshin or El Daidoji can do about it.
Brent Reed then throws the mic at Hanshin's feet and leaves with lawyers and Mr. Liquid ,gleefully smiling, in tow.
In one of the best matches in TSP history, El Daidoji finally rises to the level of his teacher, tag partner and friend Super Kakita. Following the match Super Kakita took the Triple Crown belt and put it around El Daidoji's waist. In another sign of deep respect, Super Kakita went to his knees and bowed in front of his student acknowledging that the El Daidoji has finally graduated. Daidoji broke down at this point and the two men embraced as the screen went to black.
