I'm probably bound to come off as a bit biased, being strongly pro-Rock as a kid and never really liking Hogan, but... Oh how do I put this? That fact that he apologized for being a massive racist may or may not be a step in the right direction. But then he goes on to say that he should be forgiven, cuz wrestling's a brotherhood. First off I'm pretty sure casually using such racist diatribe wasn't a "mistake" as he put it. Dude's likely very much a product of his time and meant it wholesale. As for the brotherhood thing, he completely missed me with that. How much of the wrestling "brotherhood" did he try and hold down during his career again? This reeks of PR to me....about the only positive thing I can say about him atm is he took down Gawker. If he wants to prove he's truly remorseful, well actions speak louder than words. The part that really disappoints me is, by all accounts (including Titus O'Neil, who was present for the "apology"), Hogan's "apology" was more like "I'm sorry I was being recorded. Be careful what you say behind closed doors." |

As you get older you find out most of the people you once admired are hugely flawed at best, and a pretty sizable chance of being outright shitty.

I feel that anyone can say anything negative. At the end of the day, actions speak louder than words. If someone says "im racist" but never acts on it, then more power to him. It's hard to be under cover smh. In all seriousness though, we all need to better ourselves. We all need to have brotherly/sisterly love.
