PGCW Current Events Recap
All Comers!- Since becoming PGCW's 3rd Openweight champion "The Man In Blue" Scott Saphyre has been defending the title more than any other champion in PGCW's short history, and has even defended it against outsiders like Hollywood Knights standout Suicide Survivor. His next challenge will be Magic City Wrestling's champion "Doctor Claw" Michael Ferrum in what is sure to be a technical classic.
The Guy In Shades- Ever since coming up short in his title shot against Scott Saphyre, "Mr. Photogenic" Alex Kelley has gone from strength to strength, beating legendary Japanese wrestler Yuuki Tsukino to become Creative Commons champion and beating Saphyre in a non-title match in Louisiana. Kelley has also gone from confident to outright arrogant, disparaging fan favorites and showing disdain for just about everyone in the Proving Ground. Someone needs to give Kelley a lesson in humility... will it be the Man In Blue?
Tag Team Turmoil- In the past six events there have been six changes of the Tag Team Titles with Age of Magic becoming two-time champions at PGCW's last event. A tournament is being held around the country with PGCW-affiliated promotions. Will the new challengers be the 7th consecutive new champions, or will the luchadore tag team establish a dominant run?
Here Comes Mongo! - CHICKEN CLUB is the promotion's premier faction but their treacherous history is finally coming back to haunt them. Leader Harlan A Sanders IV has been hospitalized after being brutalized in a cage match against CHICKEN CLUB's former enforcer, the psychopath Mongo. Since Sanders' injuries have been announced, however, CHICKEN CLUB has gone dark. Will this be the end of the CLUB, or are they regrouping and moving on to a new phase in their quest for dominance.
Johnny Be Solo?- With his former tag partner BLACKBIRD Sora now focusing xer attention on the Transgender Wrestling Alliance and Japanese commitments, Johnny Jones is at a crossroads. Will he seek a new tag team partner, or will he join the race to become PGCW's first triple crown champion by going for the Openweight title?

Yes, I am the only CHICKEN CLUB representative at this press confidence. No, I will not tell you why we've had this match arranged. CLUB business is CLUB business. You want to know why me and my sister are facing Mario and Cyborg? Join the CLUB." East Coast Cowboy: "You know I got nothing but respect for what PGCW has accomplished. It's a very youth-oriented organization, which means a lot of heavy competition and fast paced matches. But you youngsters got a lot to learn. I've been in this business for a long time. And me, Smith, Freddy, we're gonna learn you boys some things about wrestling." Alex Kelley: "One more match. One more match and I will get to trade in this for the opportunity to expose Scott Saphyre. I'm going to prove that his title defense against me was nothing but a fluke. And once I'm Openweight Champion, I will be deciding who I face. No more of this being kept in the dark crap. What Kelley wants, Kelley will get." William King: "My Queen and I are ready to become tag team champions. And once we become tag team champions we will be the dominant champions that this division sorely needs. Now I know there's some questions about how much punishment I've been taken recently, especially now that I'm defending a title in Bone Collection Wrestling. Well remember that BCW is nothing new to me and I am a better wrestler than I was when I was first wrestling for them. Besides, the bloody brawls please my Queen, and how can I ever deny her that?" Johnny Jones: "Am I excited to face Jack Spade? What kind of question is that? Of course I am! I looked up to this guy! Jumpin' Jack Spade and Ace Diamond, they were my favorite tag team. I have a framed photo of myself with them on my wall. Why wouldn't I be? Now... yeah, I know Jack Spade has become... well, he isn't the Jack Spade I idolized anymore. He's a bitter, jaded man and he's kind of snapped. But he's also more aggressive than he used to be, and that makes for more of a challenge. And I have to forget about all the Jack Spade matches I've burned in my brain over the years... cause back then, he didn't have the Eight-Arm. And if I'm thinking about the old Jack Spade the Eight-Arm's gonna take me out. But this match, this match is going to be a dream come true." Jack Spade: "Johnny Jones. What a punk-ass. You know what, fuck this shit." (Jack Spade then flipped the table and stormed off)Michael Ferrum: "Scott Saphyre is without a doubt one of the best technical wrestlers of the new generation of wrestlers. There's no denying that, and there's no denying he has a will to win that will make him a difficult champion to dethrone. But he's had nine matches as PGCW Openweight Champion. I've defended the Magic City Wrestling title thirteen times. I'm just as, if not more, dominant than Scott is. And I'm more skilled on the mat than Scott Saphyre is. As far as what my strategy will be... I have The Claw. And that is all the people need to know." Scott Saphyre: "It's true, Michael Ferrum has won more matches as champion than I have. He's got more experience. And that Iron Claw is an absolutely lethal hold. Here's the thing though, he hasn't faced the same calibur of competition I've had. We're going to see at Clash of the Coast that 954 is a bigger number than 305. SCALPEL's gonna win, Mongo's gonna win, Johnny Jones is gonna win, and I'm gonna win. I'll say this though, Ferrum sounds pretty confident going into this but let me ask you all something... if he's so confident... why isn't he putting his title on the line?"

[EDITORS NOTE: It's back! Trying a new format: Highlights for most of the card, full match for the main and bonus matches. If you guys like this, or rather me go back to all full matches, let me know. Another possibility I considered was doing text-only recaps, let me know if you like that idea as well. Thanks for watching!]
PGCW vs MCW: Clash At The Coast MC: "Michael Check here welcoming you all to the Proving Ground once more for some great PGCW action, with special guests from Magic City Wrestling coming to compete against some our very best. And we're opening with our first PGCW vs MCW match as SCALPEL faces off against the trio of East Coast Cowboy, Alligator Smith, and 'The Psycho Furry' Freddy Newman. ECC is a legend of the Southeast, has had incredible matches with the likes of Corey O'Brian, and was the inaugural MCW champion. His partners, Freddy Newman who we've seen before in the Proving Ground as well as the gigantic Alligator Smith, they haven't been getting along well at all, in fact Alligator Smith recently stole Newman's body pillow Waifu-chan during Newman's recent number one contender's match, and are set to face off with Newman putting his Nekomimi ears on the line to get Waifu-chan back. It'll be interesting to see how this trio of individuals will fare against the well oiled machine that is SCALPEL." MC: "What a great back and forth encounter. SCALPEL did their best but despite Bobby K being a key asset with his power, it was the experience of East Coast Cowboy that won the day, a thunderous short arm lariat on Tristan Belmont knocking him almost out of his boots for the three count." "Sunglasses At Night " by the Megas can be heard.MC: "And here comes Alex Kelley looking to defend his Creative Commons championship tonight and if he does, he will be the next contender for the Openweight title. Some argue that Kelley has already deserved that honor for how he's defeated the current champ Scott Saphyre in two non-title matches, but you can bet Kelley wants to leave his contendership in no question tonight. And let's find out who will be the one to try to challenge him tonight." "Hard Times Come Again No More (Atomic)" from the Civ VI OST playsMC: "And his opponent tonight is 'Gentleman' Jeffrey Philips. Don't let his charming nature fool you, he pretends to be a pure sportsman but The Gentleman is anything but, he's an absolutely ruthless rule-breaker. Alex will want to keep a fast pace and avoid the armbar that Philips loves to use to finish off opponents."

Kelley has now made it official, he will be the next challenger to the Openweight championship." MC: "The next match we have on deck is bout between CHICKEN CLUB members against themselves as Mario Black and the Black Cyborg face off against Jim Rival and the CLUB's newest member and Rival's sister Terra. CHICKEN CLUB have been in radio silence since their boss Harlan Sanders IV was hospitalized by Mongo but the rumor mill is in full swing, with speculation that CHICKEN CLUB is facing a power struggle with Black, Cyborg, and Rival all trying to take the helm, leading to this match. The big mystery of it is that commissioner Walter Cranston hasn't even figured out which member of CHICKEN CLUB signed off on this. But here it is, CHICKEN CLUB colliding." Looks like there's still some tension in the ring and they might come to blows..." *"Mississippi King" by Five Horse Johnson hits*MC: "That's Eddie Mudwater! He's a regular in the Gulf Coast circuit, one of the nastiest and meanest individuals in the business... and he's got a mic." Eddie: "Y'know... it's a damn shame. Y'all been callin' Sanders up in the hospital, not to wish him well, but ta try to get him ta name ya the new leader of the CHICKEN CLUB. None of ya had the courtesy to just see how he was doin? Damn shame. An' that's why I'm here, see, Sanders hired my services to keep ya'll in line while he recuperates. Meaning from now on, ya'll working for me, and CHICKEN CLUB is now part of the Mississippi Mafia. Ya'll don't believe me, give 'im a ring. Make it quick though... we got business ta discuss." MC: "Well nobody in CHICKEN CLUB seem to thrilled at this as the five of them head to the back. Meanwhile it's time for our next bout as the monster Mongo goes up against Magic City Wrestling's resident psychopath, the original Florida Man. Both men are dangerous but this is not a hardcore enviroment, which on paper favors the powerhouse Mongo. Then again, Florida Man doesn't care much for the rules anyway." Moving on from physical brutality to sheer athleticism now as two of our top tag teams, Plane Shift and Down Right Fierce, look to gain favor in our ultra-competitive tag team division." But first we have to see if the 12th PGCW Tag Team Champions, Age of Magic, can be the first team to retain the titles in a long time as they face off against William King and Kathy Queen, Team Crawling Chaos, in their first attempt at tag team gold. King and Queen have proven to be a formidable pairing in the past, can they become the next in a long string of new tag team champions?" King O/Queen [25:03- "Kingmaker"] Incredible ! X/Millenium Team Crawling Chaos become the 13th PGCW Tag Team Champions
MC: "King endured multiple Mariposas from Millenium and the Magic Missile from Incredible !, and with his Queen working with him in perfect syncronicity the inaugural PGCW Openweight Champion managed to use his vicious Kingmaker DDT to add another title to his resume. For those keeping track, that's FOUR titles held between Team Crawling Chaos... King is the Bone Collection Wrestling champ, and Kathy Queen is the Amazon-1 and MCW Ladies champion. This also makes Kathy Queen the official first woman to compete in and win PGCW title match. History being made!" MC: "But as Crawling Chaos reach a new height, we go to a new beginning. Johnny Jones returning to singles competition and he is looking to impress the PGCW matchmakers going up against Magic City Wrestling's Jack Spade. Spade was at one time one of the hottest junior heavyweights in the world, both in singles action and as part of a tag team with the great Ace Diamond. But Spade is now a bitter man, after putting his former partner out of wrestling with a concussion has been the bane of many a youngster, and his newest weapon the Eight-Arm can knock anyone out. Johnny Jones can prove himself here but will he survive the encounter?"

Johnny Jones put up a remarkable fight but The Wildcard is a crafty veteran. After a German Suplex Spade sensed Jones was in dire straights, pulled out a page from Jones' own playbook with that Straightjacket Powerbomb, and that was the end of this match. Another heartbreaking setback for the inaugural Creative Commons Champion who was looking to use tonight as a chance to climb up the ranks to become PGCW's first triple crown champ." MC: "But speaking of the Openweight Title it is time for our main event. Magic City Wrestling's champion, Michael Ferrum, going one on one against PGCW's champion, the heart and soul of PGCW, The Man In Blue Scott Saphyre. These two are very evenly matched on paper, great mat wrestlers, Ferrum more physical on the mat Scott the more athletic. Ferrum likes to focus on using his vicious Claw to win matches, Scott has many ways to put an opponent down and I understand that in preparation for this match Scott Saphyre has been training in DRAGONSUPLEX Dojo run by the legendary Corey O'Brian. We could see some new tricks in the Saphyre playbook tonight, it is said if you don't learn from Corey O'Brian you can't be taught. Walter Cranston out here with a BSO deputy, Morbid's getting cuffed and the boss has a mic." WC: "GET THEM OUT OF HERE! Morbid, Aristocrats, congratulations you've just set a record for shortest time in a promotion, I hired you tonight but I'm also firing you tonight! GET THEM OUT OF HERE!" SS: "Woah, boss. Remember what we talked about? Me being the representative of this company? I should teach this facepainted asshole a lesson myself." WC: "SHUT UP SCOTT! I get you, but I am NOT giving this asshole the satisfaction of getting what he wants. You're the PGCW Openweight Champ, and you have a responsibility to defend it. Alex Kelley is the next contender and we both know if I let Morbid jump the gun he'll never let us hear the end of it. You want a piece of him... there's other promotions to do it in, you're NOT fighting him here." SS: "You're worried about what Kelley thinks? One second." *Scott huddles up with Plane Shift, Down Right Fierce, his friend Ben Davis, Johnny Jones and SCALPEL, before Scott turns back to Walter Cranston.*
SS: "If you don't make it happen... WE ALL QUIT." WC: "Alright. I know you don't mean that, let's not say anything that none of us can take back. Kelley's not going to like this... but that's my problem. Our next show... it will be Scott Saphyre... Alex Kelley... and Johnny Morbid... THREE WAY DANCE. But there's a lot of you who want to get in on this and three of them. So tell you what. Scott, you have one week to decide who faces off against The Aristocrats as well." MC: "And there we go folks, we're just about out of time right now. Stay tuned because PGCW is back and more will come very soon!"

Special Post-Show Moments: Eddie Mudwater is walking backstage when the Toombs Family confront him. Eddie Mudwater: "Can I help y'all?" Mercy Toombs: "You can start by telling us what the Mississippi Mafia is doing here. This is our territory." EM: "That a fact? Nah girl, see... this ain't really yer turf, is it? Nah, you're expandin' here, and very slowly at that I may say. Seems ta me South Florida is up for grabs. And an enterprisin' man can make a lot of money here." EM gets a step closer, RIP tries to move in but Mercy stops him. EM: "Why don' you go home ta Langley girl. On second thought... maybe I'd like ya ta stay... you'd make a lovely part of my sin shows... hehehe..." Both RIP and Jacob step up now and Mercy has to move between them both. MT: "Make me." Eddie just smirks and walks away. ******* Meanwhile Walter Cranston is in his office with another man in a suit. WC: "I still disagree with the ruling, but I will comply. From now on the entrants for the Creative Commons Title will be recorded or witnessed by a Commission-appointed official and the contenders made public." Then Alex Kelley enters the office. AK: "CRANSTON THIS IS CRAP! ...Ah, good, you're with the Florida State Athletic Commission?" Suited Man: "I am." AK: "Good, I want to register a formal complaint, I was supposed to have Scott Saphyre one on one for the Openweight Title!" WC: "Actually Alex... our friend with the Commission has agreed with me on this aspect. Johnny Morbid is an accomplished competitor. Now yes, most of his career he was a tag team wrestler but he has had accomplished a lot since becoming primarily a singles wrestler. At any rate Kelley... nothing guaranteed you a one-on-one match. Defending the Creative Commons title five times only guarantees you get a title match. Nothing about one-on-one." AK: "Oh bullshit. And what about how I've beaten Scott in non-title matches, what about that?" WC: "You have done that... but you've also challenged for the title before and failed. I think I can come up with something that can satisfy us, one second..." He leans over to confer with the Commission rep who then nods. WC: "Okay. The three-way match happens as planned... but, when you request a one-on-one title match in the future, I will take into account your victories against Saphyre and your accomplishments with the CC title into the decision. Fair?" AK: "...Good enough." DARK MATCH: youtu.be/tCr7kBc0bD4

Mercy Toombs is sitting down with Mongo's therapist Dr. Schrumpfen DS: "I hope you understand, Ms. Toombs, I have to do what I believe is best for Mongo, and I do not believe that entails with associating with people of your... business." MT: "I do understand, Doctor. Rest assured I am not looking to recruit Mongo and I share your beliefs that my line of work is not suitable for his rehabilitation. The reason why I seek this is for his benefit as much as my own. Are you familiar with the Mississippi Mafia, Doctor?" DS: "I have never heard of them." MT: "Well allow me to explain. My business matters are intended to be... socially positive, in my own way. We act to a code of ethics and honor and those who come to us are not exploited. Profited from, certainly, but we do not exploit anyone and we only harm those who seek to do harm to us. Eddie Mudwater's organization, on the other hand... has no such ethical base. They have no ethics, no honor, and when they don't have enough customers for their wares they force people to become customers. And in some cases, they force people to become... part of the business, if you catch my meaning." DS: "I... I think I do. I do not wish to see Mongo abused as he was under Mister Sanders." MT: "Which is exactly why it is in our mutual interest to rid PGCW of Eddie Mudwater as soon as possible. There is one slight hurdle on my end, however. Surely you are aware that Mongo has a... reputation." DS: "And given his actions against Sanders I can understand why that reputation exists. Rest assured, Miss Toombs. I have helped Mongo manage his violent tendencies. He does not attack someone unless they are opponents in his match, or initiate direct physical contact with him." MT: "You do realize we WILL need to touch him? It's a tag match." DS: "I meant obvious violent contact. Rest assured I will make sure that Mongo understands your Family will be on his side." MT: "That will do." Toombs shakes hands with Schrumpfen. ************** MC: "Alright ladies and gentlemen it is time to draw the eight names that will compete to become the 9th Creative Commons champion. With me is a representative of the Florida State Athletic Commission who has reviewed every application for this match to ensure there are no duplicates and that everyone involved is cleared to compete in the state for both medical and conduct qualifications. I have not seen any of these entries myself, and they will be drawn at random. And now, before I begin...." *MC spins a tumbler and draws names* MC: "First entrant.... a freelancer, Joey 'Fidget' Spinner, he loves to do tons of spinning moves including an excellent spinning cradle." MC: "And down to two... another Amazon-1 competitor, a vicious submission specialist, 'The Punisher' Andi Harms!" PGCW All Out War
MC: "Tonight folks is ALL OUT WAR as we are in the Proving Ground in Fort Lauderdale Florida, tonight we have a three way elimination match for the Openweight Title as Johnny Morbid and Alex Kelley challenge The Man In Blue Scott Saphyre, and also tonight Psycho Santa is coming to town as he faces off against The Black Cyborg. But first, Johnny Morbid's running buddies The Artistocrats go up against Down Right Fierce. Moist and Buzzy Bluedog took part in Morbid's ambush of Scott Saphyre and guest contender Michael Ferrum at Clash At The Coast, and Scott hand picked these two as representatives of the Proving Ground to defend it's honor. And honor is something that Moist and Buzzy do not have, they are ruthless and disrespectful competitors. Moist is the more agile of the duo, Buzzy the technician. Let's see how these two fare against two of PGCW's finest." GAMEOVER and Ken Archer [Down Right Fierce] vs Buzzy Bluedog and Moist [Johnny Morbid & The Aristocrats]youtu.be/VzG2Arw2sa0*SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* GAMEOVER X/Archer [23:13- High-Speed Dragon Suplex] Buzzy O/MoistMC: "And another heartbreaking defeat for Down Right Fierce. This was back and forth action but Buzzy seemed to have injured GAMEOVER's arm with that version of the seated armbar, called Hair of the Dog, and followed up with that high-speed, low-lift Dragon Suplex winning the match. And if Johnny Morbid can do as well as his allies here he might end up being Openweight Champion." MC: "Our next match folks is between the Toombs Family and unlikely ally Mongo against the Mississippi Mafia lead by Eddie Mudwater in his PGCW Debut. The Toombs Family in the ring and Mongo with his therapist Dr. Schrumpfen on the outside receiving last second instructions... and here comes the Mississippi King and Mario Black. Mudwater asked for this match but didn't have a full field, looks like just the two announced competitors... did Mudwater not find two people to join him? Rival wrestled in our pre-show, and the rest of CHICKEN CLUB are scheduled to compete later on...." Eddie Mudwater takes a mic.EM: "Allow me to introduce the representatives of the Mississippi Mafia joining me in battle tanight. First, CHICKEN CLUB's muscle, a man y'all are familiar with, Mario Black. My second cohort..." "Beat You To Death" by GWAR playsMC: "That's.... Wrecker Jr! Wrecker has been a total loner since the breakup of the Deadly Venom Society, but now he's aligned with Eddie Mudwater..." EM: "And my third partner tanight..." Eddie doesn't motion to the ramp... but to the ring. Jacob Toombs takes the announcer's mic.JT: "I'm sorry, Mercy. This is what's best for the family." Toombs then wheels around and decks RIP with the micropohone! RIP rolls to the floor and Jacobs follows suit, Mercy completely shocked, pleading for an explanation as Jacob grabs Prescott by the throat, Toomsday to the apron, headfirst on the hardest part of the ring goes the MMA legend.MC: "And everyone is stunned into silence! Mongo isn't given the go-ahead to go on the offensive and I think Mercy Toombs is just too stunned by her brother's actions to react... Jacob now heading to the Mississippi Mafia corner... referee Cindi Slam throwing up the signal for EMTs to come... holy shit RIP is busted wide open... he doesn't seem to be reponsive at all... and he's being taken on a stretcher. Cindi Slam now asking Mercy if she wants to forfeit... and I don't think anyone would fault her but... no, she says she wants to fight! It's four on two, impossible odds..." Hopefully Mercy didn't get her neck broken by the Homewrecker like many others before... and the Mafia beating down Mongo, and a DDT by Eddie Mudwater to Mongo. Jacob Toombs on the floor, grabbing Dr. Schrumpfen... throwing him to Wrecker Jr, HOMEWRECKER! And he's not even a competitor, that may well have broken the good doctor's neck! And now... oh no... Mercy Toombs... slung onto Mudwater's shoulder as the Mafia make their exit... this may be the end of the Toombs Family as we know it here in PGCW tonight." MC: "Moving on now we've got an over-the top rope battle royale for the Creative Commons title. We've got three of PGCW's on here with outsiders from all over the US. Smart money though is on Johnny Jones, the original CC champ and looking to gain some momentum. Remember folks: Over the top, pinfall, submission all three can lead to an elimination." PGCW Creative Commons Title Battle Royal: Joey Spinner [Freelance] vs Electric Monkey [Killer Knees] vs Ben "Loco" Davis vs Necromaniac [BCW] vs Camarilla [The Bloodline] vs Johnny Jones vs Andi Harms [A-1] vs Willy G Wilikers [BTPW]

Ben "Loco" Davis O [19:37- Over The Top Rope] Electric Monkey X Ben "Loco" Davis is the 9th PGCW Creative Commons ChampionMC: "WOW! Got to give credit to Electric Monkey who seemed like he was going to come out on top but in the end it was the veteran Ben "Loco" Davis that outlasted everyone to win his first title here in PGCW! The Loco One has had hot streaks in the past but because of this he might be able to parley some momentum into the PGCW Openweight title. Time will tell on that..." MC: "But moving on we have SCALPEL going up against the Kings of the North, who we haven't seen in action here in the Proving Ground in a while. Tristan Belmont and Jimmy The Razor are trying to rebound from SCALPEL's defeat at Clash at the Coast whilst the Kings are looking to stake a claim for the tag gold. Razor/Belmont O [27:58- "Seras Victoria"] Susi X/HallaMC: "What an upset and a fantastic match! The Kings used their muscle to gain an early advantage but SCALPEL fought back and after nearly 30 minutes of war it was Seras Victoria for the three count and SCALPEL have proven what a force they are in PGCW's tag team division." MC: "Moving on to singles action now as we have the singles debut of CHICKEN CLUB's junior member Terra. Terra has been in the Proving Ground before as a tag team competitor but never in a one-on-one match. She's Jim Rival's sister and is just as stoic, technically sound, and willing to get physical as her brother. She's also got an absolutely deadly submission, Scavenger's Daughter, and if Karma Chameleon gets caught in it tonight it is almost certain to cause a tapout." She may have taken KC lightly here but still came out on top and what a great match that was." MC: "And our next match promises to be fantastic as well folks. The PGCW Tag Team Title has been changing hands every show for a long time now and the latest holders of the title are Team Crawling Chaos, William King and Kathy Queen, who are looking to break the streak of title changes at the expense of arguably PGCW's most celebrated tag team, Spider Jack and Murder Dragon, Plane Shift. Jack and King have a history, Spider Jack actually making William King submit all the way back in Oblivion Road albeit through controversial circumstances. This is going to be an interesting bout folks." PGCW Tag Team Title v1: Spider Jack and Murder Dragon [Plane Shift] vs William King and Kathy Queen [Team Crawling Chaos] (c)
*SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* Dragon/Jack X [24:09- Powerbomb] King O/Queen Crawling Chaos make their v1 defense of the PGCW Tag Team ChampionsMC: "And they've broken the streak! It was a back and forth battle between these two incredible duos but in the end King put the brakes on Jack's high flying with a thunderous powerbomb for a three count. King and Queen have done it again and look to become the most dominant force of the tag team division." MC: "Speaking of dominating though, it's time for a no rules match against the dominating force that is Psycho Santa. But he's got a tall order as he's got the most dangerous member of CHICKEN CLUB, the Black Cyborg. And the fact that Cyborg is considered is the most dangerous of a group that involves Mario Black, Jim Rival and Terra you know what a reputation that commands. But Violent Ol Saint Nick doesn't care about reputation, he's here for carnage. Here we go folks!" Anything Goes: Psycho Santa vs The Black Cyborg [CHICKEN CLUB/Mississippi Mafia]youtu.be/vc3qmwFYBTw*SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* Psycho Santa O [13:25- "Winter Wasteland"] Black Cyborg XMC: "The CHICKEN CLUB tried to turn this into a handicap match but Camarilla's fellow vampire Isaac LaCroix interfered... maybe Psycho Santa gave LaCroix a stakeproof shirt for Christmas, or maybe it's because LaCroix is the BTPW champion, a title Black Cyborg covets. Either way the odds were evened and despite Cyborg throwing his arsenal at Psycho Santa it was a thunderous Winter Wasteland that turned this silent night into an unholy night." MC: "And now it's time for the main event. This was supposed to be Alex Kelley vs Scott Saphyre one on one but Johnny Morbid and the Aristocrats caused havoc at the end of Clash at the Coast, attacking Michael Ferrum and nearly crippling the Man In Blue, leading to this three-way dance. Remember this is elimination rules, so it's not about the first to gain the fall, it's all about last man standing. Here we go folks." PGCW Openweight Title v11: Johnny Morbid [Johnny Morbid & The Aristocrats] vs Alex Kelley vs Scott Saphyre (c)*SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* Johnny Morbid X [32:06- "Death Wears Blue"] Scott Saphyre O Scott Saphyre makes his 11th Defense as PGCW Openweight ChampionMC: "What an amazing battle folks! All three men gave it their all, but despite Johnny Morbid delivering that vicious knee drop he calls 'The Plan B Knee' multiple times Scott Saphyre was able to endure, flying elbow leading to Death Wears Blue and for the second show in a row, the champ defends the Proving Ground. Scott has a mic now." SS: "You know what Morbid... that was a hell of a fight. And anywhere else, your efforts would have ended with gold. But this is the PROVING GROUND! It's getting to the point though where I'm at a bit of a crossroads. On one hand, I've pretty much turned back every possible contender here in PGCW. On the other, I owe it to this company to keep this title in PGCW where it belongs. ...I don't know if this is the time for this. But... here we go. At the next PGCW event... I want to give Alex Kelley the match he wants... that I want. We're going to settle the score, Kelley... best of three falls. But Kelley, if you take this match. It's your last chance. No more title matches as long as I am Openweight Champion, and that includes by way of the Creative Commons title. Now if you don't like those odds, you can keep that title match Walter Cranston's guaranteed you in your pocket, hold it for later. But if you do... everyone will be wondering if you're afraid that you'll lose to me twice in one night. But hey... no pressure. Sleep on it. Until then... Fort Lauderdale... WHAT THEY SAY IS TRUE! DEATH DOES WEAR BLUE!" MC: "A triumphant champion, a contender at a crossroads. Keep focused folks, PGCW news coming your way soon."

In a locker room, Eddie Mudwater has coolers of beer. Around him are Wrecker Jr, Mario Black, Black Cyborg and Jacob Toombs.
EM: "Where's Rival an' Terra?"
MB: "They went home. Terra tweaked her elbow, so they're going to Urgent Care to get it checked out."
EM: "Well this ain' about them anyway. The man'a the hour is our hero, Jacob Toombs! Without this man we'd be fightin' a turf war that'd just slow us allllll down."
Eddie passes out beers, and they all toast.
JT: "Well, you made a convincing pitch. So, where's Mercy? I thought we were just going to leave her out on the highway."
EM: "Change of plans, pardner. Mercy's gotta be made an example of. She's gonna work in my sin show till I reckon the lesson's been learnt."
JT: "That was not the deal. You said if I could secure you Florida without a fight Mercy would be free to go to Langley unharmed."
EM: "But there was a fight Jacob. Thanks to Mongo she damn near won. Speakin' of, ya'll are sure he's taken care of right?"
BC: "Combatant designated 'Mongo' cannot engage without asset designated 'Schrumpfen'."
EM: "...Mario I don' speak robot, whassat mean?"
MB: "He means since Wrecker broke Dr. Schrumpfen's neck, Mongo won't be allowed to compete. As long as the doc's in a hospital bed, Mongo's got to be in the psych ward."
JT: "Eddie, you broke the deal."
EM: "Now calm down Jacob. Hear me out. You're in this ta protect yer kin, Mercy included. Well thas what I'm doin. With Mercy workin fer me, Langley won' make a move. Langley makes a move, I make a move. Yer kin in Austin, Seattle, Mesa, Fargo... I can take em all out with one phone call. An' then Langley won' be far behind. An then the ones that are left will ALL be sinnin' fer me. Ya don' wan' that. I don' need it."
Eddie finishes his beer and tosses the can behind him.
EM: "But I sympathize with yer concerns. Tell ya what... Mercy won' be workin the shows after the watershed."
JT: "That includes the 2AM shows."
EM: "Of course. I'm no monster, Jacob."
Wrecker: "Hold on... what's the 2AM show like?"
Mario whispers to Wrecker, who looks to Mario like 'seriously' and Mario nods.
Wrecker: "Damn. Not gonna cross you, boss."
EM: "Damn straight. Now that the business part of this meetin's been settled, let's enjoy ourselves." ------------------------- Meanwhile, Jimmy The Razor, Bobby Ka'Ana'Ana, and Tristan Belmont are all at a bar.
JTR: "SCALPEL BABY! Round on me!"
They all order drinks when Bobby taps Jimmy on the shoulder, headtilting to Alex Kelley in the corner, looking half-passed out.
JTR: "...Huh. You really think so? Tristan, shirt me."
Bobby facepalms and Tristan reaches into a backpack and produces a SCALPEL shirt, Jimmy taking it and heading to Alex.
JTR: "Hey man I know it sucks coming up short for a belt but you got another chance... and with someone watching your back you'll come up top for sure. SCALPEL BABY! What do you say?"
AK: "Just wish Eric would talk to me."
JTR: "...Eric Adventure? He got fired bro. Ages ago."
AK: "My brother Eric...."
JTR: "Eric Adventure's your brother?"
AK: "No.... he's..."
Alex then looks over to Jimmy and seemingly snaps out of whatever funk he's in.
AK: "The fuck you doin' in my booth? I got a pair of redhead twins comin' my way you'll cramp my style! What you looking for tips from the next Openweight Champ, here's a tip: BEAT IT!"
JTR: "Well I was just..."
AK: "NO I DON'T WANT TO FUCKING JOIN SCALPEL! Get lost!"
Jimmy backs off and heads to his stablemates.
JTR: "On second thought, three is a good number for us." ----------------------- PGCW There's No Shortcut Home

EDITORS NOTE: Changing my format again, this time to a strictly write-up based recap style format. This is to prevent burnout and to let shows happen at my own pace.
PGCW There's No Shortcut Home
We opened with SCALPEL going up against Jacob Toombs, Black Cyborg and Mario Black of the Mississippi Mafia. Jacob Toombs was nearly booed out of the building after his betrayal of his sister (who last we heard is in whatever Eddie's 'Sin Show' is located) and RIP (who has been put on indefinite injury suspension due to a major concussion). In the end it was the experience of SCALPEL as a unit that won the day, Jimmy The Razor hitting Black Cyborg with a Switchblade Kiss (Enzuigiri) followed by Double Edge Press (Corkscrew SSP) for the three count.
Next we had Sangre Ventosa (a rudo luchador whose mannerisms are inspired by the infamous cryptid of his native Puero Rico, the chupacabra) challenging for the Creative Commons title against Ben Loco Davis. This match got bloody as Ventosa used every dirty trick in his arsenal but couldn't get the submission after his signature Massacre At Canovanas (Seated Full Nelson). Davis endured and managed to use a Knee Rack center of the ring for the submission.
Johnny Jones would battle Wrecker Jr now and Johnny Jones' slump seemed to be taking a mental toll as Jones seemed unfocused during the match allowing Wrecker to take advantage of every mistake. Johnny managed to hit a Straitjacket Brainbuster but the Mississippi Mafia caused a distraction, and while Cindi Slam was trying to restore order Wrecker Jr followed up a powerbomb with a knee to the groin for the three count.
Tag Team action as Plane Shift battled the Killer Knees in an exciting high flying battle. Plane Shift were looking to rebound from their failed bid for the Tag Team belts but Killer Knees were showing a new intensity, managing to score a huge upset when Electric Monkey hit the 9 Volt Frog Splash on Spider Jack for the three count.
While that match was an athletic spectacle the following bout was anything but, as Eddie Mudwater decimated the Karma Chameleon in his singles debut. It seemed like Mudwater was toying with the Chameleon for a while until the Red Gold and Green One managed to send Eddie to the floor. This incensed the Mississipi King and he snapped, delivering a flurry of lariats before spiking Chameleon with the Mudslide (Alabama Slam) neckfirst for a three count.
The Tag Titles were on the line tonight as CHICKEN CLUB/Mississippi Mafia members Jim Rival and Terra battled Team Crawling Chaos in a rare Brother and Sister vs Lovers tag match. It was a physical contest with all four battling across the Proving Ground for over half an hour. It seemed like the end when Jim Rival had King hooked for the Rival Driver (Tiger Driver 91) but Kathy Queen crept behind him and started kissing his neck. Terra tore Kathy off her brother (who happens to be married) but the distraction meant King was able to back body drop Rival and deliver a violent knee drop, Kathy Queen hitting Mind Flayer (Complete Shot) on Terra, and King getting the three count would end the battle.
Now we had Ken Archer going up against GAMEOVER in what first seemed like a friendly contest to vent their frustations on each other, but suddenly got personal when GAMEOVER tried an early EVO Lock (Ankle Trap Kneebar) that Archer got to the ropes and GAMEOVER refused to break until the last second. Archer tried to make peace but GAMEOVER decked him and the battle heated up. GAMEOVER tried another EVO Lock but Ken shoved him off with his other leg. GAMEOVER tried Kill Screen (Brainbuster) next but Ken floated over behind and countered with "Archer's Arrow III: Third Strike" (One Winged Angel) for the three count. After the match, Ken tried to make peace again with a handshake but GAMEOVER hit a Kill Screen on Archer again, before yelling "Get Lost, You Can't Compare With My Powers!"
Lastly it was the best-of-three-falls match for the Openweight Title as Alex Kelley tried one more time to take the belt from Scott Saphyre. Kelley was aggressive throughout while Scott kept his cool and was quick to punish mistakes and worked the legs of the former U18 Karate World Champ. In the end Kelley would set Scott up for a superplex but it was blocked, countered into a sunset flip for the first fall. An infuriated Kelley immediately hit AK-104 (Sliding Head Kick) to Scott against senior official Matt Weston's instructions, and after the one-minute breather Kelley would immediately follow up with AK-74 (Kinshasa) for the equalizer.
After the one-minute Kelley would look for his most potent kick, AK-47 (Tajiri Kick) but Scott blocked it, immediately countering with Death Wears Blue (Fisherman DDT) for a near fall. The two would battle back and forth, Kelley going to the top for the diving crossbody he used to beat Saphyre in their non-title one-on-one encounter, but Scott evaded it, and used the Roll Caskett Special (Gedo Clutch) for the win to settle the score!
We closed the night with announcements from commissioner Walter Cranston; the first is that PGCW is going on tour across Florida. The second announcement is that to keep PGCW competitive there's going to be two tournaments to decide future title shots, a tag team tournament as well as the first-ever "King of the Monsters" super heavyweight tournament. Cranston also noted that Mongo will be allowed to compete King of the Monsters, accompanied by two orderlies to comply with the demands of the Ft Lauderdale Psychiatric Hospital.

Armo Halla and Hjalmar Susi [Kings of the North] by countout -Black and Toombs double teamed Halla on the floor incapacitating him so he couldn't make it back in by the 20 count. 3. King of the Monsters Final: Hangman of Edinburgh II [Freelance] d The Pyongyang Giant [Freelance] via Chokeslam 4. Jimmy The Razor [SCALPEL] d. The Black Cyborg [CHICKEN CLUB/Mississipi Mafia] via "Double Edge Press" (Corkscrew SSP) after Alex Kelley distracted Black Cyborg to make him miss "Parameter Loop" (450) -After the match, Kelley hit Black Cyborg with AK-47 (Tajiri Kick). The Mississipi Mafia came out to confront Kelley until Kelley addressed Eddie Mudwater with a proposal: Alex Kelley vs Black Cyborg. If Kelley wins, Black Cyborg loses his mask. If Cyborg wins... Kelley will join CHICKEN CLUB. ------------- Alex Kelley: "Why do I want to fight Black Cyborg so badly? It's not about how we were the first main event in PGCW. It's not about how we've had excellent matches up and down the whole Southeastern US. It's not about getting back momentum after losing to Scott Saphyre. It's not about any of those things."
Alex: "The reason why I want to fight Black Cyborg... the reason I want his mask..."
Kelley stops, turning away from the camera for a bit. He takes off his sunglasses and wipes his eyes.
Alex: "I miss my baby brother. I miss Eric. And I know it's you, bro. We haven't talked since dad died... and I think I understand why. It's cause I wasn't there at the end, right? I wanted to be there. To make peace with him. But my flight was delayed. Would I have left Japan if I didn't want to be there Eric? If I wasn't trying to patch things up, wouldn't I have just tried to video chat with him instead? We had our differences, me and Dad, but I loved him. And I miss him as much as I miss you."
Alex: "Maybe it's something else, I don't know. I can't think of what else it can be. Whatever it is Eric we can work it out but I know it will take time. I just want to be able to see you again." --------------- Armo Halla: "MISSISSIPPI MAFIA!"
Hjalmar Susi: "We cannot punish the cowards Black and Toombs directly, not yet. But the Mafia, we will invade, we will raid, we will BURN YOU DOWN!"
Armo Halla: "We have sent a call to arms to our fellow Northmen, and two warriors have answered! Our brother Magnus Skullhammer, and the Warrior Queen Alena Sturmbjorn will join is in battle!"
Hjalmar Susi: "We will find glory in victory or in the halls of Valhalla."
Armo Halla: "THE RAIDING PARTY SAILS TO THE PROVING GROUND!" ------------ Ken Archer: "I'm not sure what got into GAMEOVER. Maybe he's frustrated, I am too. We went from top of the division to bottom of the heap. Maybe... maybe he wants to move on. Can't really blame him. But if he wants to aim for the Openweight Title well... now there's two more people in that race. But I'm ahead of him in that race, aren't I? Davis, Razor, one of us has got to pull ahead in the race, and I've been waiting far too long for my shot to fall short now. Attack me if you dare, I will crush you." ------------- PGCW You Got The Touch 1. PGCW Creative Commons Title v1: Cap'n Edward Read [LPW] vs David Bishop (c) 2. PGCW You Got The Touch
We begin with our Creative Commons Title Match, a title that has changed hands several times during the tour. History between the competitors, challenger Cap'n Edward Read was unseated as Louisiana Pro Wrestling champion by CC titleholder "The Main Man" David Bishop. Bishop used his street fighting mentality to gain an early advantage, scoring a near fall with "Corpus Christi Crash" (Crucifix Bomb) but a second attempt was countered into "Cut'f Yer Jib" (Cutter) by Read to take the gold. Read would rally forth and look for "Queen Anne's Revenge" (Reverse Brainbuster) but Bishop gouged Read in the eyes! Following that up with a slam, Bishop capitalized with his unique Bottom Rope Frog Splash for the three count.
Six-Man Tag action next up as Johnny Jones and Plane Shift battle the new, darker GAMEOVER and the Killer Knees. The action was fast and furious until GAMEOVER unleashed his sadistic side on Murder Dragon, throwing him violently into the barricade before hitting him with "Kill Screen" (Brainbuster), only for the tactic to blow up in his face when Spider Jack caught him with a sudden STO the second GAMEOVER entered the ring, following that up with "Daddy Long Legs" (Diving Legdrop) for the three count.
Our third match is one with Openweight Title implications as Ben "Loco" Davis, Ken Archer, and SCALPEL's leader Jimmy The Razor faced off in a three way dance. Three of the top singles wrestlers in PGCW battled for 30 minutes with neither getting an advantage and keeping the crowd on the edge of their seat, the field being dropped to two after Ken Archer used the uranage slam to set up "Antagonizer" (Cattle Mutilation) to submit Ben Davis. Jimmy The Razor hit a flurry of offense, including multiple Shining Wizards and "Stand Alone Complex" (Standing C4) but Archer managed to kick out. Razor looked to throw Archer to the ropes for another Stand Alone Complex but Archer reversed, decking Jimmy with a brutal spinkick, followed up with "Archer's Arrow III: 3rd Strike" (One Winged Angel) for the three count!
Next was a wild and chaotic brawl as The Raiding Party geared up in eight-person tag action with Eddie Mudwater's Mississippi Mafia. It was a back and forth struggle in this rare 4-on-4 tag but descended to chaos more than once as the action would spill to the floor many times as the Mafia tried to gain advantage by gang tactics and use of weapons. A chair to the back of Alena Sturmbjorn by Mudwater while referee Cindi Slam was distracted would lead to Wrecker Jr looking for the career-ending "Homewrecker" (TKO Stunner), but Alena would escape, slamming Wrecker down and locking in the "Knee Splitter" (Stretch Muffler) for a submission win. After the match the Mafia would try to rush the viking quartet but would be forced to retreat, leaving Jim Rival in the ring to eat a "Slepnir Kick" (Kneelkick) from Hjalmar Susi and a "Baltic Stampede" (Running Powerslam) by Armo Halla, Kings of the North getting measure of revenge tonight.
Next would be a steel cage match as RUST from Hollywood Knights would battle Mongo, fallout from their encounters during the King of The Monsters tournament. This was as physical a bout as anyone could have predicted, RUST using his sheer size to gain an early advantage but Mongo answering with his relentless aggression and brute strength. Mongo seemingly had it when he straight up tanked a "RUST Bomber" (Axe Bomber) and answered with "Mongo Boot" (Running Leaping Boot)... but RUST got right back up! A torture rack, choke bomb, and even RUST throwing Mongo into the cage with a military press wouldn't stop the madman who delivered a skull-cracking second Mongo Boot for the three count!
Tag Team titles on the line now as Mario Black and Jacob Toombs, former champs in their own right battle the most dominant tag team in PGCW for quite some time, Team Crawling Chaos in another chaotic brawl. King and Queen were going strong, Queen nearly submitting Jacob Toombs with "Eat At Kate's" (Shining Triangle) and King nearly putting away Mario Black with "Dunwich Horror" (Single Arm Brainbuster). However Mario Black would bring the title run of King and Queen to a screeching halt with a sickening piledriver to Kathy Queen leaving her motionless and unconsious for a ref stoppage. Queen would be put on a backboard and stretchered out, King following her as the callous new champions celebrated in the ring.
Next up is Mask vs Affiliation as Black Cyborg battles Alex Kelley in a rematch of the very first main event of PGCW, and this bout was just as competitive and action packed as the original, kicks and submissions and high flying antics abound all over the ring. In the end Black Cyborg went for a suplex, Kelley floated over and went for "AK-47" (Tajiri Kick), Cyborg ducked it and hit Kelley with a Falcon Arrow, center of the ring for the three count!
After the match Eddie Mudwater got in the ring and clapped for both men, giving Kelley a CHICKEN CLUB T-Shirt that he, in a surprising act of good sport, immediately put on. Mudwater then spoke to Cyborg, then to Kelley... and Cyborg and Kelley would hug in the ring. Afterward Kelley would gain a mic, saying that he may have lost the match, and his independance, but he won what he really wanted... his brother back.
And now we'd come to the main event as King of The Monsters, Hangman of Edinburgh II, would battle against the Man In Blue, Scott Saphyre. Scott rallied early on but Hangman quickly went to his deathmatch roots, using foreign objects to bloody the champion and then used his size and power to dominate the champ. At times it seemed inevitable that the reign of Saphyre was ending this night, "Twist In The Wind" (Swinging Full Nelson Slam), "Hangman's Fracture" (Chokeslam Brainbuster), and a Backdrop Chokeslam all getting near falls as the Man In Blue just wouldn't stay down. Scott managed to throw the Hangman to the cover, going for a dive.... Hangman had grabbed a chair but Saphyre put his hands outstretched Superman style, the chair hitting the Hangman in the face! Back in the ring, Scott quickly takes advantage of the monster's mishap, "Death Wears Blue" (Fisherman DDT), hooks the leg, one, two, three!
The show ends with Scott in the center of the ring, clutching the title, a his face a bloody mess... and then on the big screen, "A NEW CHALLENGER APPEARS" flashes, before "Ken's Theme With Lyrics" by Brentalfloss heralded the arrival of Ken Archer. Ken enters the ring and helps Scott up, the two shaking hands. As fellow gamers and colleauges, the two have a friendship and mutual respect, but will they be shaking hands after what is sure to be another amazing title match?

I'm cool with it too." Terra: "I got no beef with you, man." MB: "I can't believe you guys are just trusting him! And now he's going against me and Toombs..." AK: "Look, I didn't decide to..." *beat* "The hell is that smell?" MB: "...It's the belt. Jacobs is like that too. Been like that since we had em." JR: "Smells like..." Terra: "...It does..." MB: "You don't they... with the belts on?" JR: "Probably on the belts too..." AK: "Sure sounds like something they'd do." MB: "I'm gonna need to get tested aren't I?" AK: "Anyway look... either way, the titles stay with the Club." MB: "With the Mafia, you mean." Terra: "I can't believe you enjoy that creep's company." MB: "He's our boss, and I don't know about you guys, but I've been making good money working for him." Terra: "That's not what it's about Mario. That... Sin Show of his. And Jacob well... I can't stay around someone who would do that to his own sister." MB: "Well that's too bad. Because we're all working for him now, wether you all like that or not." ------------ Ken Archer: "The time is right... I've been busting my ass ever since PGCW began, looking to get my name on the marquee match. I've gotten opportunities before but this is it... me fighting for the Openweight Title. And DRAGONSUPLEX Dojo, it's stronger then ever, they're working on holding shows again. I want to be there, to help inspire the next class of graduates... and I'm going to bring the PGCW Openweight Title, the biggest prize in Florida wrestling, with me. Scott, I have no beef with. We're friends. But that friendship is going to have to be put on pause. Once the dust settles, whoever wins, we'll be friends again. But if I have to spike Scott on his head to hold that title... I'ma have to spike him on his head. And that's all there is to it." ---------- William King is shown on a cell phone behind a row of snack machines. WK: "I'm at the waiting room of Kindred Hospital right now... my Queen is undergoing a procedure... a minor surgery. They say... they say she's going to be okay, but she'll be out of action for a while. Obviously she'll have to vacate her other titles, and... mentally, I'm in no condition to compete myself. So I'm not going to be at Eye of the Tiger... and I might not be at the next big show either. But I will be back. And Mario Black... I don't know if you injured my Queen on purpose, or wether it was just trying to win the match. And I don't care. You hurt the most important person in my life. One of the few people... the few things I care about. And for that Mario, I'm going to get revenge. One way or another, I'm going to put you in this very same hospital. But you won't be going to the ER... you won't be going into surgery. You're going to go straight to the fucking morgue. When I'm done with you, they're going to need to call in your family to ID your body and sign your death certificate. Do you understand what I'm saying? I'm talking they'll need to check your motherfucking dental records. And when my hands are wrapped around your steroid-filled throat... and don't pretend you're not juiced everyone fucking knows you are... you will know that your demise was your own doing. And to the rest of the Mississippi Mafia... I don't give a damn about any of you... but get in my way, and you'll be getting a mass fucking grave." --------------------

PGCW Eye of the Tiger
We begin with the Creative Commons title match as the controversial champion Dynamite Scatterbones faces off with Jeremy Filth. It was a back and forth battle until Jeremy Filth hit "Proposition 64" on Scatterbones for a near fall, taking time to taunt him with a microphone before hitting a TKO-Style "Filthy Cutter" for the three count.
Next was six-person tag action as Johnny Jones, Ben "Loco" Davis and Murder Dragon did battle with Mississippi Mafia members Wrecker Jr, Jim Rival and Terra. After a series of nearfalls the match devolved into chaos, Terra hitting a sucker punch on Murder Dragon right on the chin to score a sudden three count to gain some momentum for the Mafia.
Next was the match for the Amazon-1 World Championship vacated by Kathy Queen. Bonnie Blair tried to bribe her way to a forfeit by offering Death Machine II the keys to her 'old' 2018 Maserati Gran Tourismo, but the Machine refused. Blair would make her regret it though, applying a "Blair Trap" into the ropes, the crowd hearing Machine's knee pop out of it's socket. Machine tried to fight but Blair put her right back into it, causing an immediate submission.
The tag team title hunt of The Killer Knees would suffer another setback as SCALPEL's Bobby Ka'Ana'Ana and Tristan Belmont, former title holders in their own right, would dominate in their match up, Ka'Ana'Ana knocking Renegade Angel out with "Kinboshi" (Kneeling Piledriver).
Next was Eddie Mudwater's open challenge which would be answered by a man making his professional debut, DRAGONSUPLEX Dojo graduate "Greek Fire" Sergio Kontos. Mudwater bulled Sergio for most of the match, nearly getting the win the "Mudslide" (Alabama Slam). When he tried for a DDT, Sergio countered, taking him down and putting him in the "OPA! Lock" (LeBell Lock) for a shocking submission! Wrecker Jr, Jacob Toombs, and Mario Black would rush the ring to put the boots to the rookie but Ken Archer, Scott Saphyre, Johnny Jones and Ben Loco Davis would make the save. The rest of CHICKEN CLUB would appear at the top of the stage, but wouldn't join the fray and the rest of the Mississippi Mafia would be forced to beat a retreat.
Next up Spider Jack and Jimmy The Razor would face off in a fast paced high flying bout, neither man getting an advantage over the other. Jack seemingly had the win when he hit "Daddy Long Legs" (Diving Leg Drop) for a nearfall but when he tried to follow up with a flying rana Jimmy The Razor would counter with a powerbomb for the three count.
Our third title match of the night would take place for the Tag Team Titles between CHICKEN CLUB's Kelley and Cyborg vs their own allies in Jacob Toombs and Mario Black. Despite both teams being part of Eddie Mudwater's superclique this match got ugly fast with all four men battling it out on more than one occassion. Eventually Toombs would try to steal a countout for his team by trying to handcuff Black Cyborg to the barricade but Cyborg would push him off and hit a nasty Shining Wizard as Kelley blasted Mario with green mist. Cyborg rushed into the ring, "Elimination Protocol" (Busaiku Knee) on Mario Black, gets the three count and in their first attempt the brothers Kelley win tag gold!
We go to our final match of the night now as Ken Archer looks to be the man to take the Openweight Title from Scott Saphyre. The match was a wrestling clinic from start to finish with both man displaying incredible technique and athleticism. Scott sensed blood at the 20 minute mark looking to win it with "Day of Sigma" (Napalm Death), Archer escaping only to get tripped and put into the "Proto Lock" (Triangle Headscissors and Kimura), Archer managing to escape that as well and hitting "Archer's Arrow" (Michinoku Driver) out of nowhere for the three count! Even Archer seemed to be surprised that he managed to pin Scott Saphyre. After shaking the Man In Blue's hand and taking time to pose with the belt, the celebration would be cut short as the Mississippi Mafia strike again, ambushing Sergio Kontos who was at ringside as Archer's second as a fellow graduate of DRAGONSUPLEX Dojo. Archer, Saphyre, and Saphyre's own second Ben Davis again tried to stop the Mafia but got overwhelmed.
This time the Kelleys, Rival and Terra would head down the ring, Rival being told to 'prove his loyalty'. Rival winds up for a roaring elbow on Sergio... but instead decks Eddie Mudwater instead! After everyone just stopped in stunned silence, the Kelleys and Terra would join Jim Rival in clearing the ring of the rest of the Mafia, including their own CHICKEN CLUB teammate Mario Black, forcing another retreat. Mudwater would scream threats, meanwhile Rival would help Ken Archer back to his feet.
And then, Commissioner Walter Cranston would appear on the ramp, announcing that Mongo has been deemed fit to re-enter society... "In other words, Eddie, Mongo doesn't need a handler anymore. And he's gunning for YOU."
