Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/305226231Youtube Part One: youtu.be/JHtxt5p-jCsYoutube Part Two: youtu.be/M6MEKSVi_MsOutsider Bracket Round One Results A hot opener that set the stage for the night. The two kept a fast pace for the most part, and Candi managed to pick up the surprising win, somewhat softening the blow of her loss to Kira D'Amon. Intense and hard-hitting, they started things off hot for the bracket, Shu managing to put Daniels away with a solid kick out of the corner, sending Hawaii to the second round. A bit of a clash of styles here, but Tuputala seemed to get the upper hand with his strength and agility in the end, overcoming Samhain's more hardcore slant to pull off the win. Exactly what everyone expected. The most Canadian match ever was an outright brawl, ending dead-center of the ring as Newfie George landed Kiss The Cod for the win. Back and forth, a constant push and pull between these two with Vaughan throwing out everything she could, Summers trying to ground her with legwork, but it was one mistake that led to a sharp backslide that stole this one for the Alaskan. This was the showcase both men wanted in their first-round matches. No disappointment here, this one just went hard from the bell and delivered a fantastic matchup. Fast-paced, wild, with Chabot trying to keep Kougar from getting in her big moves... to no avail, a third Katastrophe bomb finishing this one off and sending her to the second round. Maybe the upset of the tournament right here. Kalb showed a tremendous amount of skill here against Sesi, fighting through the powerhouse and pulling off a major victory in representation of Washington D.C. Straight out of the gate, there was no hesitation. These two went at it hard, never letting up until Ciel managed to hit a big bomb in the center of the ring... but this match easily could've swung either direction in a hurry. Well, it's another accolade for Val Morgan to add to his resume, and we're almost certain to get some gloating from the brash man calling himself "G.O.A.T." Blake didn't quite manage to get himself off the ground properly, so he'll re-focus his efforts tomorrow night on finishing out the Great Oni tournament in the hopes of victory there. The East and West bracket second round will kick off on Wednesday, while the Central and Outsider second round will be either on Saturday or Sunday. We'll see what comes up by the weekend. Also, Nikki Knux's theme has been cut from the YT VOD due to a copyright claim blocking it in the US. It may be a bit before it becomes watchable.Currently trying to mute the damn thing and it's not working out so I -may- have to pull the YT version entirely or, potentially, cut the video in two, cut the entrances for that particular match, and upload them separately just so I can have all the matches at least posted there.Yeah, I just split the thing into two parts and cut the entrances from Nikki's match. It's just easier that way rather than relying on YT's thing that wasn't working right. The second video will have Nikki vs. Selene and Blake vs. Val. That's the reason I only use royalty free music or music I make for cawf. Even if you aren't monetizing your videos youtube can still slap you with one with their automated system.

Anthony Kalb A victorious Kalb is seen walking backstage directly following his match, a confident spring in his step. He sees an interviewer along the way, pulling her aside before the camera can catch up.
Anthony Kalb: ...and all the people out there didn't think I could do that! They thought that Iceman Sesi was too strong, too tough, too good! And he's all those things, trust me, I know! But what they didn't count on was that I'm all of those things too. They discounted my fifteen year experience in the industry. They just see me and Fitsy as a pair of spoiled rich frat boys with good connections. And while that's not wrong, and we took this for granted at first, we both learned to work our asses off, we've both lost more matches than you've seen. We've been beat down and stomped out, laughed at, jeered, tormented, run ragged, stretched out, slammed around, puking our guts out...and that's just in training! Money doesn't buy you a win like my win here tonight! That's the results of a career of hard work and determination. Of course, now everyone sees this, I'm not gonna be underestimated in the next round, so that's out the window, but you know what, I can take it! I'm ready!
Very Canadian Megan Chabot: So that's it. The end of the line.
Canadian Grizzly: Both of us are gone. Finished.
Megan: We tried hard, right?
Grizzly: But not hard enough.
Megan: So, what's next?
Grizzly: Now we go back to the Dominican for the Santanas. But it's not Canada.
Megan: No Tim Hortons.
Grizzly: Brutal climate.
Megan: Inferior people.
Grizzly/Megan: NOT CANADA.
Grizzly/Megan: Sigh.

Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/306475400Youtube: youtu.be/LLzNzD3QUOkResults If we'd gotten this Nikki last Sunday, she might still be kicking in the tournament. Clearly, she wanted to prove that her performance against Selene Ciel was a fluke... and you may have to believe it, after this. This is probably about as good as Kellaron could've hoped for. Going up against a legend, he looked solid in defeat, and this may represent a new beginning for the young man. The constant counter to Bardo's mounts clearly took its toll on the suit-clad professional, and Ribbit's blistering-fast pace likely didn't help him much, either. Ribbit hops away with a major upset and a ticket to the third round. Rex tried to repeat what he did last time against West Side Kid... but it seemed that referee Hana Brightly saw right through his game this time, or perhaps Georgia was far from fooled by the plot. Either way, Georgia Eagles was dominant here, and moves on to face the legend that is Geese. A potential candidate for match of the night. A fast-paced match that showed a sharp contrast in styles: Dawn's quick strikes and submission work against Cecilia's high-flying, almost unpredictable offense. The same sequence that Cecilia won with in the first round, however, reared its head in this one as well, and Dawn was forced to Reach For The Stars... sending the Florida astronaut on to round three. This tournament's had a way of making Blake Dynamite look vulnerable. Getting cut open by Samhain early, Blake never seemed to get another foothold after that, and the Puerto Rico representative would come away with a BIG win. Texas International is showing its pride here, without a doubt. Morris continues to impress in the early rounds, and he seemed to tear through Camacho, setting him on a path towards the finals... but can he get through the whole way? The AAW star, the man who scored the only CRITICAL thus far in the tournament, did everything he could to make sure Alan Wright stayed down. Wright, however, clearly didn't get the message... he kept standing back up, and would ultimately finish the job dead-center in the ring, scoring what felt like a major upset over Yoshi Tayaki. Hypnosia continues to look frighteningly powerful in the tournament. Somehow managing to kick out of a Black Gold from Wyatt, she'd immediately fire back by jumping to the top rope and landing a huge Sky Twister, scoring what many may see as yet another upset victory. Talk about a war. Neither man seemed willing to quit here, throwing nearly everything they had at each other... but a late diving lariat from Danger finally, finally brought this one to an end. Can Danger match his ZIP tag partner by winning the tournament?

Gonna roll this Saturday at the usual time, 5:30 Pacific (Saturday's a bit easier to work around than Sunday this week). Exhibition: Canadian Grizzly vs. Savojjin Sesi Prince Shu vs. Anthony Kalb Newfie George vs. Val Morgan Tim Dwight vs. Kira D'Amon King Cake vs. Lucien Freeman Exhibition: Dawn Hawkins vs. Anna Bryant Nick Griner vs. Jeremiah McCoy Selene Ciel vs. Kitty Kougar Allison Avery vs. Mr. Moonsault Sione Tuputala vs. Tia Summers It's the Central and Outsider bracket second round for this one. After this, only two shows left: the third round will take place all in one go next Wednesday, and then, the finals next weekend. It's tough to tell who's gonna pull this thing off, but I'm sure by now everyone's got their favorites locked in...

Remember, the show is TODAY (Saturday) rather than Sunday this week. Same time as usual, just a different day. I also might go live a little early just to throw out some random sims, so keep an eye out.

The second round has concluded. We're down to 16, and only two shows remain. But who made it to the third round? Pre-show: www.twitch.tv/videos/307739093Main show Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/307739641Main show Youtube: youtu.be/p9A2wXpliNYResults Well, that was chaos and a half. These two Canadians threw everything they had at each other, but it was Grizzly that eventually pulled off the big win. A hot opener to what would be a wild card. I don't know how Kalb keeps doing it, but here we are... an Adam Smith Driver carrying the DC native to another upset victory and a trip to the third round! It was desperation, perhaps, that fueled Val Morgan at the end of this match... throwing nearly everything he had at George until a modified Sharpshooter finally scored a victory. Val got lucky here... but he may not feel so lucky come next Wednesday. Dwight looked solid again here, but solid wasn't quite enough to put Kira away this time. This was a more... "normal" Kira, no wild fits of anger or psychotic breaks, so perhaps the Mississippi girl has steadied herself again. This... dragged, a little bit. I'll admit that much. Lucien eventually managed to hit the White River Flood and put it away, but not before a lot of rolling about on the mat in King Cake's cradle hold. Still, Lucien has now punched his ticket to the third round. The young Idaho rookie getting outplayed by the veteran in this case. Anna gave what she could, but the axe kicks added up and gave Hawkins the win. Wouldn't you know it, McCoy does it again. Managing to get through Griner's technical skill, Jeremiah McCoy kept the pace hot and fast, and came away with a huge victory... but how far can he take it? Selene Ciel looks like a world-beater right now. An absolutely dominant performance, though Kitty did her best to hold on for as long as she could. HOW ON EARTH?! Allison Avery scores maybe the single biggest upset of the entire tournament with one CRUSHING lariat, stunning the world and absolutely ASTOUNDING the crowd. This could be one of the most shocking moments of the entire tournament, right here. A ton of back and forth here to close out the card, both trying their hardest to put this thing to rest... but it'd be Summers that finally sealed it with that Reverse Figure Four, and set herself up for a meeting with Anthony Kalb. The pre-show was a treat as well, the newbies got some exposure, and we got a glimpse at the future of Shiana Sentarl...

Anthony Kalb Anthony Kalb: I'm the last man standing! The last entry from the Office! Nobody thought I'd be the lone survivor! But I did it. Beat the Iceman. Beat the Prince. And I go ahead. One round at a time, one match after the other. Work my ass off, get some rest, come back again. I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth, not gonna lie about that. But I also know what it's like to grind away and work like a demon to get what I want. Best things in life can't be paid for in cash, and that's a fact. And if I can win my next match, take that next step...that's what I want in this world right now, more than anything. And I'm gonna do whatever it takes to accomplish that goal. Too many people helped me along the way. Senator Phillips, Fitsy, Mrs. Fitsy, Textbook, Nobunaga, too many people out there took their time and effort to help me get here. I'm not going to let you guys down. Win or lose, I'm giving my best shot here. I'll make you all proud, you'll see.
Mr. Moonsault Mr. Moonsault: They're calling it the upset of the tournament. Allison Avery wasn't supposed to beat Mr. Moonsault. A woman half the size of Marcus Xavier wasn't supposed to pack that much of a punch. But that's the nature of the game. Sometimes you get wins you're not supposed to get. Sometimes you lose to someone you're not supposed to lose to. It's all good. I'm not mad. Just the way it goes.
Canadian Grizzly Canadian Grizzly: Sesi was strong, strong as a Canadian should be! I haven't had a match that good in...forever! But that's because I wasn't wrestling real Canadians. Americans, Dominicans, Mexicans, Japanese...all proud nationalities, but they lack that Canadian quality that only a true inhabitant of the North can bring to the table. Our wrestling culture is the best in the world. Our fans...the smartest around. And our history is second to none! So, Sesi, you brought your best. I brought my best in return! We glorified the ring with our contest! And we showed the world just what Canadian Wrestling is all about!
