I feel like saying "ALL THE THINGS" would be selfish, lol, but... I am particularly interested in the edits and, if there's any data for the defaults, the one and done guys like Hercules, Ted DiBiase, John Tenta, etc.

Cover-to-cover scans would be useful for archival purposes. They could be zipped up as .cbr (or .cbz) files (or just plain .rar or .zip formats I guess).

I just got the books today. I'll see what I can do. The books are brand spanking new as far as I can see.
Also, the shop I bought them from gave a freebie, a really solid cloth bag with the name of the shop and the names of various classic consoles. Well appreciated!

Anything that could be done to get these books in their entirety online so that we can make the edits exactly in their "official" forms would be appreciated. But the last thing I would even think of asking is that you risk bending or damaging the books, so if that's what it takes to scan them then maybe a different approach to documenting the information would be better. That's all that really matters: That the formulas are available in English so that they can be made in the actual games, appearances, movesets, skills/parameters, logic and all. If you post them up I'll even whip up a save (or multiple saves depending on how many edits there are) for everyone to download and play in an emulator.

I have a complete list of all the new characters we're getting SOMEWHERE... maybe at Fire Pro Club on FB. The list is accurate, that is what we are getting except for one exception: I think, like Maik said, that The Convict is the obscure former gimmick of Uncle Elmer rather than Nailz, the sprite doesn't fit Nailz, and I don't remember Convict Nailz ever having a white mask.

If you have all the details for each character typed out in .txt files you could just zip them all up and upload the file to mega or something. That's if scanning isn't feasible or just takes too long.

I'll see what I can do. Should have some time to put on this soon.
Params are rated out of 5 rather than out of 10 in these. That's how Fire Pro worked back then. Easy solution is doubling all the ratings to have them at scale, but that's less precise than it could be. This is what I did in the past. More complicated solution involves compiling the ratings of those edits that are in the books that would go on to have known, stable, canon ratings out of 10 and then either do comparisons to find the most comparable wrestler (introduces a bias) for each rating or do some more math to get something usable, but what I have in mind in this case would tend to draw the results towards a certain average and the wrestlers would have much more similar ratings than it the other solutions.
Really, I'll do some stuff this afternoon.

I admire the dedication you've shown to this project. Historical preservation, whether it be on the scale of civilizations and cultures or something as niche as Fire Pro official edits and stats, is something I strongly believe in. The question about parameter conversions is interesting, looking forward to seeing what you decide to do with that.

If you post the complete formulas (whether as scans, text, or whatever) complete with appearances (assuming it has those?), movesets, stats, parameters, and logic, I'll personally make saves containing each and every single wrestler in the books for X Premium and Special so that everyone can download them and play them as they were intended to be used. So I won't need to adjust anything.
Another question: Are these in English? Do you know what they even say? If it's in Japanese I could translate from scans by actually going into the game and finding each word/phrase. This wouldn't even be THAT hard as I (no exaggeration) pretty much have the SNES Fire Pros memorized.

100% agreed with this.

I would say to just double it, that's gonna be the closest to reproducing the original info...if you start trying to look at similar wrestlers and come up with a "new" official rating for everybody, it's gonna introduce more guesswork for anypne else looking it up in the future, AND it's gonna be a lot more work/time for you besides.
If you're concerned about it putting a lot of 10s out there, you could double it minus 1, so like, 1 is 1, 3 is 5, 5 is 9. Or you could just put an asterisk by it, to note, like, this is coverted from 5 points and may not reflect what their "official" out-of-ten rating would have been.
Converting the body part strengths from 5 points to low/med/high would be the harder part.

As far as translation goes, I could probably help. :v

I like doubling - 1! And now, we can all work together and get this done ;-) The Convict. This ain't Nailz. If you're worried about the book, I'll stick a brick on top of it for a couple weeks when I'm done, the pages will be tight together again.

Benny Urquidez. Legendary kickboxer. Was on a New Japan card once doing an exhibition. Interesting one to include.

Only some of the edits in this book had logic, and Urquidez was the last one. Kendo Nagasaki.

I'm posting the new wrestlers first, but this isn't exactly one of them. This is The Eagle AKA George Hines, who was in KOC Red and I have the stats from that. But I suspect this is a completely different edit.
