That's right, Jean. Ignore the neigh-sayers.
That's what it takes to get back in the saddle.

Jean's promo pumped me up so I just spent the past few hours coming up with the first OG-Joshi tour for January. It's going to be a shorter and dense one, then culminate big in March. GET EXCITE 😁

OG-Joshi proudly presents "Back to School" or "Equine-Nox: Horses of Autumn!"1. Lina vs. Eris Byrne 2. River Reade/Aria Holt vs. Cassandra Carter/Hanako 3. Rose Moreno vs. Megan Williams 4. Kathy Queen vs. Opponent chosen by Robin Walker5. Robin Walker vs. Opponent chosen by Kathy QueenA few notes on format: I'm trying out some new things in order to make events easier to produce.
For this show, I didn't include official commentary. There's a short speech by Jean and some promos on the show but no commentator. I use a disembodied narrator to describe the action and throw in some of my own snark and match building. You can think of the presentation like a house show but obviously this event is a lot more important.
All feedback on this is welcome and encouraged. I want each show from each promotion to be unique and also be functional. I want momentum to build again and that means I need to have an easier time producing shows.
I'll definitely be doing commentary for the 12/13 show. The ASFS show for November will be similar to previous "studio" format ones but shorter. And going forward, I'll keep the commentary shorter for Continuum events.
For the new OG-Joshi tour next year, I'll be trying a new presentation approach entirely.
I really hope that you all enjoyed the show. It's been hyped and in production for a year and a half so expectations are either really high or really low, LOL. But I had a lot of fun producing it during this time. I loved the matches that I got and enjoyed doing the write-ups, especially Kathy's match. A lot of that (let's just say the parts you all like) were actually OctRaven's ideas. I just made the rest of it gross 😁

Lina vs Eris reaction: Hot damn this match ruled. Loved the duelling dropkicks, the finisher steal by Eris, the back-and-forth submission attempts, Eris using the ropes and turnbuckles to get advantages on Lina while Lina uses her power to put the momentum back on her side, just all fucking great. Absolutely loved how Lina used the torture rack to get the win, showing her growth as a wrestler, and marked hard for the tombstone kickout. I really felt the rivalry in this match, and I'm super excited to see where we go from here. Going through the rest now, but I wanted to get my live reaction to this match as it was happening.

Thought on the rest of the show: Instant fan of Rose Moreno. Her resilience was unreal and I loved her arm work. Also FUCK YES GUTTER. The main event absolutely ruled and I bit on so many near falls. Gutter got so close but Holly just would not be beaten. Great match and great show.

Really glad that you liked the show so much and thanks for the feedback!! 😁 Lina vs Eris reaction: Hot damn this match ruled. Really glad you enjoyed this!! With all of the great sims you and DK were getting on your own last year, I wanted to make sure this show featured an outstanding match! I thought the match was great throughout and the finish really elevated it to memorable. Eris hitting the Ravenstone and Lina kicking out was great. Eris trying it again later, only for Lina to escape and then end the match soon after was amazing. It felt like a real match. I thought the submission finish made sense too given how long the match had gone after Eris got cut open. I agree that I really felt their rivalry here. Some sims have a certain "energy" about them that make them fun to watch. This match had that plus a reflection of their characters and rivalry. It really stood out to me and I feel like it's a fitting chapter in OG-Joshi's most historic rivalry. Can't wait for the next chapter! Robin/Gutter was OctRaven's idea and the match turned out amazing!! I really thought Gutter was going to win this match a few times but Robin "Holly'd up" and won in the perfect way. It was cool she got to show off her combo clincher "Loser's Lunch." Gutter kept railing her with DDT's and flying elbows. I just love the brawl here. Thanks for the compliments on Rose! She's been a character that would have been main event by now had I never closed up shop in 2011. The role she played back then for OG-Joshi was huge and I've wanted to feature her for a while. But I've also wanted to give her a steady build, hence the loss here to Megan who is far more experienced. I also see Megan as a break out wrestler. She's changed her style, gained a lot of muscle and aggression. It's not a coincidence that I featured their match on the same show as Lina/Eris. Rose and Megan also have a big rivalry too but it's been more off screen. They have both been influenced by Ruby but in different ways. I see these two continuing that rivalry for a while and eventually get out of Ruby's shadow. I've had these intense waves of edit making momentum over the past few years. Last spring, I was able to take Rose and Megan's FPR edits and completely transform them into their current forms. I'm really happy with how they turned out. I probably will replace that Rose priority that caused her to ref bump though, LOL. That commentary about her mistake was more about me than her. I'll probably just let her pin or try a sub after that knockout combo clincher. I also need to promo for them. They are the only two (not counting the mystery opponents) who didn't get promo time building their match up for the show. But I also kind of wanted to surprise everyone with them 😎 Their match was a massive success if it got your attention. On a show stacked with two MoTY candidates in Lina/Eris and Robin/Gutter, it's a huge compliment for Rose/Megan to even be acknowledged let alone praised! 🙏
