As my first Shootstyle efed draws to a close, I am looking to expand on the work that View619 has done with his match type mods.
Gonna take some time produce a dedicated shootstyle mod that should generate matches closer to the style and cover off what you'd see from organizations like BattlArts, PWFG, RINGS, UWFI and Pancrase.
Current outline of changes. 1) Downs / Lost Points A) Lost Points (Pancrase) B) Rings Downs/Escapes (RINGS) C) Points (UWFi / PWFG)
D) Allow Loss by points (Default to off)
2) Damage Modifiers 3) Increase Move towards ropes 4) Submission check rework A) Check goes against endurance then spirit, not health B) Wearing Gloves i) MMA gloves make it slightly harder to sub and escape subs but allow face punching ii) Boxing Gloves make it much harder to escape subs and throws do more damage to users a) Provide damage bonus to punches and even better defense bonus against strikes 5) Turn off running
6) Increase/Cause Leg kick downs 7) Fouls A) Usual fouls (headbutts) B) Face Punches without Gloves C) Yellow and Red Card System
8) Match Judging A) Per Round B) Per Fight
9) Stoppages A) Blood Stoppages B) Change Striking Submission checks (GNP/Knees on ground) 10) DQ on second interference / Run in
11) Fall out of ring A) After strikes fall out of the ring B) Tackles near ropes fall out of ropes' 12) Shootstyle Wrestler Style adjustments

A warning system for illegal attacks, leading up to a DQ if the fighter continues to foul.
Doctor stoppage based on a fighter's bleeding level and health.
Referee stoppage on downs based around fighter health. Basically, forcing the referee to call a fight earlier if he fears for the safety of a fighter; preferably it would be based on a referee setting so we can simulate anything from a cautious referee to Mario Yamasaki.
Second interference resulting in an immediate loss for that team, in order to simulate seconds throwing the towel. Could be useful for fights where you have a second at ringside and want to simulate a nervous trainer/cornerman.

I was actually trying to find a taunt / emote in the game I could use for the ref giving a warning. Was thinking of a Red Card / Yellow Card idea. This would be critical for matches that could go to decision.
The bleeding one is amazing and I didn't even think about it. While I wouldn't use it in my shoot league (I'm thinking of Masahito Kakihara VS Tatsuo Nakano), it would fit in Pancrase and would be great for running actual UFC/Pride style matches. Great suggestion.
Setting up a stoppage based on a combination of health, spirit and endurance. May also see about checking for this special stoppage for those 'striking submissions' like GNP and grounded knees. Good luck getting a merciful stoppage with Yamasaki out there, loooool

The other way would make people fall out of the ring when they hit the ropes.
Judging could be a little hard, but could just total up successful moves, giving more points for L/M/H/Y+B moves.

Carl has judges working but I believe it’s by round (if there are any). I was thinking it would be cool to have the choice of judges deciding between the standard 10-9 per round or the fight overall.

Tastiness. I might be able to pull it apart with IL spy and add the ability to do totals over the whole fight as opposed the by round and maybe expand it to score in different ways: Moves vs Damage, vs remaining spirit and endurance ... All sorts of possibilities.

Adding options for losses from downs.
It will default to off for now, since very few matches outside of pancrase were ever ended by lost points.
Also the default game after a certain number of knockdowns with counts will just have the knockdown count as a KO.
But I'm planning on having the animation showing wrestlers going through the knockdown animation and then either continue to get up as the match is called by (T)KO or have them collapse as the match is called like as if they didn't beat the count. This will be added the standard wrecked animation (where they look dead) and the standard downed animation where the wrestler is down and breathing, but not in that 'wrecked' state and the ref is down and check on them, but instead of checking on them, the ref will just call the match.
