Iron Sheik went. Guy was pretty active on Twitter right up to the end so it must have been sudden.

RIP to one of the most colorful personalities the business has ever known, someone who was also one of the toughest men of his rather legendary era.

Oh shit, thanks for posting this, I had no idea. McCarthy is easily in my top five list of favourite authors. Amazing wordsmith and absolute master of the English language! His work is amazing, and he was never afraid to tackle incredibly dark subject matter, challenging readers to take a disturbing journey with him while simultaneously demonstrating how incomplete your dictionary truly is. 🥲 One of my favourites of his is The Road, I always get shit on for it, but it’s a masterpiece to me. It feels like series of pictures drawn in various shades of grey and brown, it’s despair, fear, dread, survival, but it’s always about hope. I love it. We also lost Martin Amis on May 19th of this year. He reminds me a lot of McCarthy, one-two literary loss. Check out Money or Lyle Asbo if you like McCarthy’s style (nowhere near as dark, but similar diction and complexity, lots of dark humour). Sad news.

At the end of May, I lost my father.
Like many kids, my dad was my role model. The man I aspired to emulate in life. At the moment, I'm struggling to go through old photos of my dad. A celebration of life in honour of my father is coming up at the end of July, and looking back through the memories makes me realize just how much I miss him.
Ever since I was a child, I have suffered from severe depression. My dad's positive outlook on life and naturally outgoing disposition was the complete opposite of my personality. Yet, dad's laughter, cheesy jokes and smile were infectious. Dad was the star of every conversation, ever dinner get together, and you couldn't help but be drawn in by his larger than life personality.
That's part of the reason why I've been scanning so many books in these forums lately. Something constructive to pass the time. Something distracting to take my mind away from the grief.
We hear the saying 'life is short' so often, but no words could be truer.

There were rumors that health issues were why he was away but so many people were just thinking it was minor stuff and they just couldn't figure something out creatively. It's such a bummer he had so much talent and was trying some unique ideas, they didn't always work but I'm all for trying some different stuff.
WWE really wasted the swamp cult leader Bray.
Man such a bummer. So young too.
