Thanks to everyone! I now have all the edits and can begin the arduous task of exhaustive test simming :P
I've looked through everyone's logic and at the moment, everyone is looking pretty good. If anything weird happens during test sims, I may contact you about making some adjustments....but I'm hoping that won't be required.
Should be a great tourney! I'm excited for it. Qualifying round will be streamed Friday Aug 17 at 9pm eastern.
Also, since we had two alts that didn't end up being required, I will also sim them against each other as a bonus exhibition match during the qualifiers.

Like I said in the stream, I feel like a dude who brewed his first homebrew beer out of a Mr. Beer from Bed Bath and Beyond to the Great American Beerfest. I'm really stoked for this, I hope I don't embarrass myself. May I introduce Yoshihiro "Japan Air" Mikasa. Born in Japan, immigrated to Southern California at a young age. He started to cure his homesickness by watching All-Japan, while his buddies were dropping leg drops and stunners, he was throwing elbows and backdrops. He had a hell of a run in now defunct Pacific Coast Wrestling, whose new owners, the soon to debut Professional Order of Wrestlers (POW) have yet to offer him a contract. Hoo boy. I simmed 5 (yes FIVE) leagues containing all 24 edits submitted for the tourney.
I don't wanna give anything away, but results were pretty consistent (the same 4 edits finished in the top 4 spots every time). There are definitely a few dudes who are gonna need to be nerfed a little, and also a couple of guys who might need a little beefing up if everyone is gonna have a fair shake.
Keep an eye on your PMs over the next few days, I'll be contacting a few of you with some suggested tweaks to try and make things a little more even.

Attention Edit makers! If you have an edit in this tourney and he has multiple attires, please let me know which attire you'd like him to use in his matches. If I don't hear from you, I'll just go with the default/Attire 1. Thanks! Also, qualifying round matches have been set! ...but you'll have to wait until Saturday to find out :P
Reiko will be making an announcement this weekend, so be sure to check the regular ZIP JAPAN thread for the details!
I'm very happy with the edits as they are now, getting some great results. Barring the odd RNG'ing I'm confident we'll see some fantastic matches on August 17th! |
