While I'm aware that missing craft parts sometimes provide ID numbers to look up and reference, I've had a few edits I've downloaded have a pop up window saying that a part is missing and listing the actual part: So I close the game, sub to the part, and reboot the game. Same problem. I don't understand why this is so complex. Is there a way to choose and edit on the workshop and look up their craft data a different way outside of the workshop page to determine what is missing or is it just trial and error with the pop ups in the game saying it can't be messed with? P.S. Sorry for using your edit as an example, Will. I've just seen it a few times with other edits and it drives me nuts.

I don't know what causes that to happen. The only thing you can do might be to unsubscribe from it and subscribe to it again.
Woulda been nice if Spike-Chunsoft had this shit figured out before they left it to us, but I digress.

A good suggestion. I will try that tonight and see if that works.

This typically happens if someone has a "locally installed" via the modpack part that they've accidentally put on the edit before uploading. Thats why, even though it looks like you have the part subscribed, the game isnt recognizing it as the proper part. There are some workarounds to fixing it on your own that might cause other annoyances, but your best bet is reaching out to Will to get him to update the edit on his end to use an actual workshop part.

Very interesting. Well, at least Will got it fixed so we're all good.
